What You Need:
• either vodka or gin (your preference)
• dry vermouth
• a lemon or several olives (as garnish)
• ice
• cocktail shaker or stirring glass (your preference)
• strainer
• martini glass
How You Do It:
1. Fill martini glass with ice. Set aside.
2. Fill the shaker with ice.
3. Add one ounce of dry vermouth.
4. Give it a quick stir.
5. Strain and discard the dry vermouth.
6. Add 2.5 ounces of vodka to the shaker.
7. Shake or stir (your preference)
8. Discard ice that has been chilling the martini glass.
9. Strain shaker into martini glass.
10. Garnish with a lemon twist or olive (your preference).
11. You’ve just made a dry martini. Cheers!

Leon Mladosic depends on how dry you want it. The less vermouth, the dryer the martini. I like mine with just a touch of vermouth.
