Just when you think you've seen it all and there's nothing left to surprise you, Eric comes along and blows your mind. This is incredible, mate, thanks for sharing your creativity and resourcefulness with us👏
My hs used to have those back in the day, the tenors were arranged with a snare on them and went from smallest(next to the snare) to largest (not like a tenor). And our bass drums looked like a macaroni noodle
It’s half 2 in the morning, and I just woke my dad up singing along. I’m such an idiot! Great work guys! Terry Bozzio would be proud of that footwork btw!
When I saw the mellophones I got so happy because I barely see any My school only has three currently I hope we get six in total next year so I can be a mellophone section leader
We have exactly... One. So lucky she doesn't age out next year cause according to the freshman there're no french horn players or anything at all. We had 2 last year, but one was a senior and aged out obv.
Damn! Dude, I feel like your brain is capable of doing an advanced math that none of us have even heard of yet! 😂😂 Very cool presentation from the whole group. I feel like I am at a drum & bugle competition while watching this.
Another great video lol. This was at the DCA (Drum Corps Associates) World Championships held in Rochester, NY over Labor Day weekend. Next year, the all-age corps will be part of DCI (Drum Corps International) World Championships in mid-August at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
Curious how it sounded at the venue because in the recording it defintively sounds like the drum parts are a bit low but I'm not sure if its just an issue with the recording or the fact that there's only 1 of you instead of a drumline to punch up the volume to match the brass
Good morning and this is video number 199 of asking for marchable bass drums, set up in a tenor formation. I.e. benor drums. PS: custom backbar may be needed
With DCI announcing the All Ages Division, do you think Eric will join? Eric on drum set or El Estepario Siberiano on marching equipments? Who would win?
Gotta say, that was impressive playing on the drums there, covering the equivalent of 6 people on your own. Well done. I have to ask though, the brass ensemble; is this considered a high quality ensemble/competition? Because in UK brass banding this would be a 3rd section band at best, probably 4th section. I'm asking not because I think they're crap, I don't, I've played in bands ranging from championship section to 4th section and they're all fun, but to get context. There was some nice playing there, especially from the horns/mellophones. On another note, as a tuba player, I would hate to have to play those shoulder mounted basses, and I've marched with a BBb bass with bodged together straps! Certainly a decent showing on a single rehearsal! (and yes, I know I'm late to this! :-P)
My high school band played this exact same show in 2021 and have the show shirts to prove it lmao EDIT: I know you guys are probably not gonna go through the effort to get this link into your url but here is our show. Funnily enough we only had one bass drum, one set of tenors, and one snare, but our school always pulls through ua-cam.com/video/ojYnDflx7ag/v-deo.html&feature=shared
@@ryanl4582 Very kind of you to watch it, thank you for the compliments, I'm very proud of how far we've come, given I'm only a freshman I see much improvement still ahead! Thank you!
Eric I would love to see you make a video of you playing where I may roam by Metallica my band played it for my school football game. We actually had 3 songs to play by Metallica
Respect to the one man playing the crash cymbal and hi-hat!
One man cymbal line!
That would be me!
I was waiting for the one man flub drum line to come out lmao
Yeah he’s a pretty chill dude too
Bruh, Eric's limb independence is insane. This ensemble has a really nice and blended sound overall. Good stuff 👌
That footwork with the kick drums is amazing!
6:39
blucoats would be proud of them contra flips
I just adore the Drum Major's costume, and love the one man battery. Keep up the good work Eric!!
It was so much fun playing with you! Thank you for the awesome video of our performance 😁😁😁
Which one are you?
@@GAMINGOBRIEN69 I'm the short, ginger trumpet player next to the blue-haired French horn player!
I also played the solos in the second piece 😁😁

Oaky but damn, that one-man drumline feature was clean as heck, well done.
Drum Major as Audrey II is EPIC! Very Nice!!! Great footwork, Eric!!!
“Son be a dentist” was so silly. I was picturing the scene as you were playing.
Love the twerking!
This...
This is special.
Also, peep that incredibly well placed music stand.
Idk if im dumb or blind but i am confused
me too
@@digiwizard4765
@@digiwizard4765I think they’re talking about the stand that’s completely blocking Eric’s face anytime the camera changes perspective to the front lol
That's a brand new stand 😂. Both of the tubs players forgot stands and they were about two hours out of the box when this was filmed
Fun fact:
The way he played those drums, is how the drum set was invented.
LSOH is my all-time favorite musical. Well done on both the arrangements and the performance!
It was so fun being there to watch and help you with some of your equipment
I never thought this kind of foot work could be possible! 😮
Just when you think you've seen it all and there's nothing left to surprise you, Eric comes along and blows your mind. This is incredible, mate, thanks for sharing your creativity and resourcefulness with us👏
Looks like a ton of fun.
This is cleaner than my actual drum line. Dang it.
Thanks for capturing this event and all your great work EMC!
Wow, that looked like you guys had fun. That was so endearing
Eric, you are one of the most creative and musically talented people that I have ever seen. Not to mention amazingly coordinated.
Respect to that impeccable coordination bro 🥁
Nee invention unlocked: marching drumset😂

Yes, I second they amazing footwork.!

And it's the "Little Shop of Horrors" score! great job! Investing in some bass drum cradles next mayhaps?
This is truly special. Wow.
Awesome man.
I love you EMC productions your the best drumming UA-camr. Your so talented
When they asked him what he wanted to play, bro literally said “yes”
Now all you need is a wind instrument and you could be your own band
Interesting to see.
Something I may do. Also I haven't heard of a mini corp before, nice

How does this guy keep getting better ❤
Hey! It was fun playing with you man!
I really NEED a drum set like this in my basement. FOUR bass drums? Too much fun. 🤣

the one kick with the mallet inverted
The best Eric Carr on the internet
Wow- you might be starting a trend! pretty cool idea!
You are very talented. I enjoy watching your videos. 11 drums. Very impressive. I can barely a normal set 😅
as a percussionist, this is sick! as a trombonist, no baritones? 🥺
We're there! Promise! Just on the other side of the tubas and out of the shot.

Should have gave that poor man a suspended cymbal solo at least! I just felt bad for him
I'm so jealous dude you got to play little shop of horrors my schools band never did that
EMC!!!!!
Nice job on being first
FIRST COMMENT!!! good work.
Much respect Eric, I would probably say “appreciate” like at least 22 times if i were making a judge tape. Maybe even 23 times.
