Looks like the “next year…oh wait” joke is already stale lol. All-age I&E and mini-corps will happen again next year during the DCI season.
Well, that means for sure you will be in Indianapolis!!!
@@RedDogMamaHD Maybe, maybe not? What DCA's president said Sunday night before the awards was that DCI and DCA were hoping to have a competition in Rochester next year that apparently would be synced up with an alumni corps event, mini corps competition, and I&E competition. In other words, all the other stuff that has happened on DCA championship weekend for at least the past couple decades. I think this is because the schedule in Indianapolis is already pretty packed. It's not clear that DCA will be able to have both a Prelims and a Finals. Being indoors, they at least don't have weather concerns. And there are few enough DCA corps at this time that they don't need two days. (The regular number of corps who advanced to DCA Finals since the early 2000s was 14 (10 in the upper class and 4 in the lower class), but last year and this year there were only 12 corps total, so they all advanced.) However: (1) DCA and DCI surely hope to grow the number of all-age corps back to something larger, and (2) DCA corps often show notable improvement between Prelims and Finals. I noticed that in 2019 even when both events were held the same day because a post-tropical storm was expected to arrive on Sunday.
I could show you a multiple bass drum set up that makes more sense. I know, it's a very "Mr. Knowitall" kind of statement, but it's true.
Will the All Age I&E compete head to head with DCI Performers? That would be epic.
We (Freelancers) heard it's supposed to be Aug 2 in Ra-cha-cha.@@Encyclopedist
I love how the judge is just sitting like “oh man not this guy again” lol
And the award guy at the end “stay there a minute while I announce you won two more times”
Shoutouts to Kyle Manley from CV for his gold in solo snare. Great guy and he was voted our Member of the Year at our awards banquet.
We love Kyle
the jig 2 on the 4 bass drums had me dead
That's why we heard sirens.
This man is a menace to society.
I disagree, this man has inspired many, including myself and others in my drumline, even freely sharing his own cadences for everyone
Can't be hatin on someone for being creative and goofy 🤷♂️

@@keys-I agree, I think it’s a joke tho man

Putting the black heads on the spockenspiel is brilliant
"I'll get you Gadget!" I hope the audience appreciated playing melodies from 80's TV shows as much as I did! Good stuff
@7:14 I was immediately reminded of my Junior year in high school. All of our music was for a 3 bass drum line. We could never get a third drummer. I found some spare snare drum carrier adapters in our drum room and with a little creativity and use of my dad's tools, I made mounts to fit the smaller drum on top of mine, the larger one. It ended up with near perfect balance. I think we were halfway through the football season... our first home game we marched out to the stands with that bass drum standing tall above everyone else. When we played our halftime show, the crown was the loudest when we began rocking our drums. As a kid figuring stuff out for myself, it's one of my happier successes.
Lets go Wiggles!!! Ben and Eric's duet was so cool to see in person! Proud to say I march with Ben and call him my friend! 💙⚔️
Amazing work Eric!!! Congratulations. It it’s duck a shame to see DCA and the I & E go away! I can only pray the DCI absorbing DCA strengthens the activity. But honestly, it just took away my desire to join an all ages Corps. I know that a trip to Indiana is out of the question for me. That’s a lot of time off of work.
last night they said dca will still exist with its own rules under an “all age class” and I’m also pretty sure they said I&e was not going away
they said that I&E are still going to be a thing when DCA goes under DCI All Age
They have a hole since the killed I&E for those under 21 and marching a corps. So this could be their way to bring back I&E.
It might open up dca to be in other parts of the country though
@@zaccsonofjohn1132DCA has always been open to other parts of the country. There have been corps all around the USA in CA, WA, TX, CO, OK, and beyond including corps from Japan, Germany, and the UK.
Which was harder, actually pulling off that blazing tenor solo or being stared at by the guy in the red jacket?
Also, when the guy said "click the like button" I obeyed like a good minion.
@@alsdrumhangI would have cracked up laughing if someone said my line like that
Your talent and skill are insane! Im sure most musicians would practice for years and years for just one single performance and you did all these??? LEGENDARY!!!!
The way they paused before saying "...snenors" - I still love of the sound of these. But... I laughed my ass off the whole way through the bass stack performance. That just looks so ridiculous! 😂
This was awesome, I love how you take silly concepts and refine them to such a point where they’re actually impressive and exciting!
I was the dude who said “wowwww” in the video because those singlets were CRAZY and god damn ur truly amazing EMC! Much love!
3:14 the Spock roll was….. CLEAAAAAN
I never realized there was so many things that could be done with snenors, I’ll try convincing my band director to add snenors to the drum line next year
12:20 that ditty remix with those snenors was absolutely 🤌
What to add after this astonishing demonstration ?!? Here you develop all the possible and imaginable vocabulary of SD with a mastery, a technique, a velocity and a musicality rarely equaled. Not forgetting an elephant's memory ! Thank you for this incredible video that I could watch over and over again without getting tired of it. (Friendships of a 65-year-old Parisian who, despite years of practice in TG, notes with spite the chasm that still separates him from your level.... 😥)
Way to go, brah.....seriously though....I like yourself have been in band/corps perf. arts my entire life and I was seriously blown away by your creativity both musically and artistically. Very approachable to even those who may not be around the arts all the time, as well. You didn't just go out there and shove as many notes into the alloted time as possible. I too thought that you knocked it silly on the quads. Lets GOOOOOO
GG ON 300K ERIC HOORAY
It's interesting, Eric's splits are even more impressive when he does them live. Guess it eliminates the excitement dulling that comes with the possibility of editing.
How do you transport all that equipment. Truck? Van? To be able to memorize all those routines is amazing.
tbh the memorization part prob is the easiest part
Transported by SUV. These are about 60% memorized and 40% improvized
@@EMCproductions "Thanks, Dad!!!!"
Closing in on 300K!!! Been watching you for years and you definitely deserve a million already. Good job winning 5 medals, that duet was killer!
He’s now at 300k 😃
Of course, I don't think anybody is going to win if Eric is in the competition lol. He's WAYYY too great!
Shout out to this guy 15:18. Also Eric, what type of puffied do you use for your tenor drums and where can I buy my own pair? Also, amazing recovery after dropping your stick in your snare solo! I love you abd your channel❤
I’m glad you uploaded your solos, since i had to miss one of them because of my own I&E performance. Great job on all of your solos!
Congrats on another year of awesomeness!!! I shared this with my drumline kiddos (of course) so it might inspire them to keep peckin’ 🥁🏅
Extremely challenging and entertaining as always! Your chops are absolutely fan-dan-tastic, so keep up the amazing work you do! Can't wait to see what you come up with for next year!!
13:25 the jig 2 fake out 😂
Such cool stuff, and somehow my favorite thing was during the duet, the assisted/2 person roll when you leaned over on the snare. Not easy to pull off and very neat!
Edit - The 4 + 1 snare tenors were amazing.
Edit 2 - Your pure snare solo was really great as well, and the ending was tremendously terrific with the single stroke drum set sticks... but it just felt a little lacking to end like that. I'm sure you already felt this and is about the only criticism I could find their entirety of your solos. I love your relaxed feel, the content and vocabulary was mixed very well, and a special flavor of uniqueness is refreshing to see.
Thanks to DCA for allowing Eric to be a goofball. I doubt DCI will.
I loved the spockenspiel, and the sneror solo was super cool
Well done man! You're chops are so clean. Great work!
Congratulations E. CARR.
Love the musicality, nursery rhymes, classical music, was that a video game song I heard too? All brought to percussion. Thank God you entered.
Snare solo was the sickest thing ive ever seen 🤘🤘
Wow Eric!!!!! Great job dude. Love the channel and love this content.
That tenor solo where he went into false hype was awesome lol
YESSIR ERIC! 💚💚🥁🥁💚💚🥁🥁
I recognized your trademark 💚 emoji as I came back to read the comments. 😉
Love the duet with Pauly Shore.
you're ready for this?! DU DU DU DU DU! awesome! congrats on the hard work and awesome chops!
Congrats Eric!!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Great Job!!
YES YOU FINALLY POSTED 🥳🥳🥳
Amazing job eric. i wish i was there in person
Yeah Man awesome energy totally crushing it❤😂🎉
Champion 🏁⭐🏁
CONGRATULATIONS and thanks for sharing all these fun solos!! Super enjoyed the duet too!
Sick chops
love the inspector gadget on the spolenspiel
love it!!!
9:07 the police came after they heard jig 2 (I’m dying😂)
you got like... 2 or 3 records, a massive name in your field, and now apparently almost all of the medals XD
good work
Your snare solo was very buddy rich influenced. Loved it
Go Ben!
Nice work.
I know that duet guy, go Ben
That duet went hard
SPICE MON!!!!!!!
The tenor solo reminded me of Tim Jackson's I&E tenor solo from 2004.
I liked this alot. I seem to detect Shelia E, Steve Gadd, and even a bit of John Bonham influences in your drumming. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🥁
ERIC THE BEAST CARR!!!
I hope K. Manley of Atlanta CV uploads the winning snare solo so people can compare.
Jesus! Well done!
El Esta.... who ? You are the truth my man !! This is amazing stuff !
Bring the typewriter next year! And some sort of translator for it 😂
bro just can’t stop
I love how you put the Couch Lick in the duet it was sick!!!
shout out to the guy who said "click the like button" during the stick click solo
yes!
You are a master at what you do. I've played drumlines, but mostly HBCU style, except for a few competition exceptions. I'm a pro sax player. I didn't know what was celebrated at these types of things. And may I say I've never seen so many people excited by so much LACK OF GROOVE, and musicality. PURE TECHNICIAN stuff is getting them so pumped! amazing to watch!
I recant, The Snare Work is great especially your Latin Clave work, but it still doesn't grove much.
4:30 was that inspector gadget 😂
Let's go!
Try not to crush the diddles on snare. It took away from the performance. Pretty sure I heard an inverted Lesson 25. That was my favorite part! All kidding aside, I loved this. Respect!
I saw this man’s ridiculous drum Corp drum set during mini corps.
Can't wait for him to post that video! 😉
Been a while‼️
300K soon⁉️⁉️
that do re mi spockenspiel thing is so weird because i just rewatched the sound of music 😭😭😭
Good morning!
Nice.
Love your videos man best of luck on your UA-cam expedition
Wow he actually played traditional grip on the snenors.
Mornin
was that the peanuts theme I heard in the spockenspiel?
Good morning and this is video number 195 of asking for marchable bass drums, set up in a tenor formation. I.e. benor drums.
PS: custom backbar may be needed
always gotta get Jig 2 in there somewhere
THE COUCH LICK RETURNS
Congrats from life-long guritarist who whishes he was a life-long drummer.......
YEAH WIGGLES
1st performance is giving Tim Jackson vibes
No wonder he hasn’t been uploading he’s been at dca
eric looks like he’s flipping his off at 16:01
That is too many medals. He will be drunk with power now!
Lez go
Me patiently waiting for DCA ranked
When you did the snenor solo, how did you manage to make that silver drum sound like a tenor
And now you somehow do it to the other three drums, how
Everybody dance now! 1:40
3:12 but there was one in the previous sweep passage
🙌🥁🎵🎶👍
