Got very excited when I heard you mention the Town Doomadgee was really hoping to see some footage As I worked there back in the late 80s as a cook for a company penna and co- they were building a weir Back in the day there was only one shop which was a garage which sold petrol inside the shop you could buy food and there was also a butchers and post office. Id often go swimming down the creek with the locals it was not uncommon to come across a fresh water crocodile sunning it self laying on a tree branch stretched across the creek fond memories forever in my heart of Doomadgee and its people.
Sounds like a most enjoyable stay. We didn't go past the petrol/shop outside. But would have loved to have spent some time there... Thanks for sharing April.
well done guys, we are looking at doing Cairns to Daly Waters in march, great to see what we will be up for in relation to road conditions, we have subscribed and will continue to watch your travels. just for your info we did part of the Gibb in 2017 and it does look very similar conditions as that road.cheers
Hi guys. This is a great video. We are thinking of doing the trip this year. What is the name of the lagoon you stopped at just before Hell’s Gate? Was it Hang Creek or Hand Creek? Sorry but I couldn’t make it out.
This a dream that I will happen soon, tell the boss to shove it. A question please. Would it be from your experience to have a 4 wheel camper-van over a combination
A good quality 4x4 campavan at least, Amy. Many corrugations, razor edged sometimes, water crossings, etc. However, a 4x4 caravan for me though for those reasons we decide on caravans.
@@efozz1 I understand the $ side of things vs freedom. Also the cost of having a very expensive campervan that might site around for months without use good if you can afford it. Thanks for the reply.
Driven that road many times. The worst road users are caravanners, especially those driving up each other's arses in convoy and refuse to move over. Always stopped for on coming road trains.

Not sure Robert, maybe Branch Creek? Maybe try ringing the Roadhouse, they'd know.
Alamnya, jalannya, hutanya, serupa seperti di Merauke - Papua, Indonesia.
