- In 1939 one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time was being uncovered at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk - the Great Ship Burial that's thought to be the final resting place of an Anglo-Saxon king. Now 80 years on, the story continues, as we countdown to an incredible new experience, coming this August.
This is roots, our identity, our joint heritage just as Mexico has the Azrecs and the Maya and Greece has Theropolyae and the Illiad. We must cherish this, Robin Witting

We visited yesterday.I live in Suffolk,and this was our first visit.We look forward to the new experience in August..We also look forward to a new perspective on the lives of our amazing ancestors .

Shame it's not Saxon.
they use the word Anglo Saxon to encompass the three tribes that came over. the Jutes Angles and Saxons. so its a generic term.
