- Just some scenery and sounds from the 2021 Du Quoin Street Machine Nationals. It was good to be back after the 2020 show was canceled because of the China Virus. Rain may have held a few back, but there was plenty of awesome rides cruising.

I was there! for my 40th took off the bad years after 2002..back in 2013. Where was the sponsors? It was empty except for General Tires and a handful… hope 2022 is back to the Great Days..My favorite was always Springfield IL. It was crazy!! I remember everyone using the Car Craft Goodie Buckets to get nice chlorine water from the Hotel pools for the long line burnouts on the main strip. DuQuion was just wild period!! Til they shut us down in 1998..but we’re back since 2013..DuQuin lost of lot of money from 1999-2012… their fault.. see you in 2022.. if they don’t stop this house arrest virus….
My car was not judged and there were several other areas where the judge never came around. Big shows have a team of judges not one guy! Several complaints on facebook/instagram as well. Most unfair judging I have ever seen in 62 years!

Appriciate it! I didn't get to stay for after hours due to other obligations. Seemed like attendance was down this year, rained Thursday and most of the day Friday so figured it kept some away. I'll be posing more vids as car shows seem to be ramping up.
Springfield IL was always my favorite The managers at the hotels hated us empty Buckets of their pool water to do burn outs off the main strip. The goodie bucket was good for one thing…we always had a convoy of 7 cars heading down I55 from WillowBrook IL. 1985 sucked at the race track outside St. Louis IL side..after DuQuion 1986-1998. 2002-2003 in Indy sucked 2nd year have the Indy Fairground was being renovating. I liked the KISS cover band though..I’m still going! 2021 was good.but big absence of sponsorship not like the heyday everyone from Accel, Edlebrock to Ziebart was there…
