The blue (purple? Looks blue to me lol) keys do look sick I can’t lie. But then I thought the grey would work better with other videos. The grey is a tricky one to light when filming though!

So they’re semi-weighted but they’re the best feeling keys I’ve played on a midi controller. My last synth was a Roland Juno, also semi-weighted and those keys felt ever so slightly better to play but i ended up getting rid of the juno and keeping the Komplete kontrol s49 mk2 i had at the time. It feels great to play.
Is there an info about the plastic it's made of? I thinking about getting one but if that board's gonna get yellow over time then I'll better stick to the classic version

Hmmm I was wondering about this. I’ve played for years and have no problem at all but maybe this is why. I think maybe for learning the actual notes, the two different colours help, but once you know your sharps and flats I don’t think it would be an issue. Put it this way, very early on in my playing, once i had learnt a song, I could easily play it with my eyes closed. You rely less on the colours and more on the distance between notes. Same for blind pianist and people that play fretless instruments, double bass etc. But again, I’m someone who has played for a long time so I can’t say for sure how you’d get on with it.

Hey, all of the S-Series MK2s have always had aftertouch. The S49 and S61 have it too like the 88. But in answer to your question, there’s no new features just the colorways.

I noticed on NI website it says it has aftertouch. Only 88 usually has aftertouch. Does this have any other upgrades/improvements?

Komplete Kontrol software (better call it KONTAKT wrapper) is total piece of garbage. PERIOD !
For me it makes finding sounds a breeze. Though it is quite buggy on the M1 Macs, which is all I can speak to. What are you main issues with it?
