Total 100% agree. I was in China first time and had opportunity to enjoy Chinese New Year. I stayed in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. I love it. After come back , I miss it and want to travel again to see other places in China. So much to see and learn. Agree with both of you ❤. I subscribed 😊 I’m new just found you. Thank you for the video.
Hi. Cash still accepted at most places (some smaller shops may not). During our entire stay I didn’t touch cash once as I found AliPay convenient. If you’re able to try another credit or debit card. I did have to verify my AliPay account at one point as a security check. I found their chat support also quite helpful when this happened.
@@R4TR thank you so much. As for convenience, which is better? Wechat or alipay? And how does transportation work? Do we have to top up to our virtual metro card then get it scanned? Or everything is automatically deducted from our credir card? Same questions for octopus HK Card.
I had both Wechat Pay and AliPay available, most places accept both but I only used AliPay as I found it user friendly and don’t use Wechat to communicate. With transportation once you commute it will take the payment from your nominated card - you don’t need to add funds and have it come from that - it will take the charge out automatically. Octopus HK card - I actually read recently this might now be accepted in Mainland China. With this card you top it up and as you use it, it comes off the balance. Hope that helps and you have a great time in China!

Chinese BBQ is fantastic
So do China still accept cash? Because i cannot seem to link my local credit card to alipay. I would prefer cash if it is still accepted
