We have a drink similar to this in Bangladesh with soaked basil seeds. Instead of strawberry syrup we use rose syrup milk and sugar. A great drink during ramadan that energizes people after they fast all day.
We use rose syrup and rose colouring to make another version.Almond syrup and green colouring are added to the almond version.The Vanilla version(one of the most popular) is now sold topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream!All yummy!
I too would love a video for Elderflower cordial or Dandelion & Burdock, proper homemade though with real plants not the synthetic flavours used in the supermarket soda versions. Both of these drinks remind me of spending holidays with my Gran when I was a little girl.
