What's the verdict on the Laguna Drum Sander? I was going to get one, but Daniel over at Unquendor Guitars has sent his 240v one back a few times for fixes and apparently he says there's some quality issues in the EU version vs the US version.
To be honest with you I’m not totally sure. I know Brendan hasn’t had issues with his one at all. He’s had it for a number of years now. I guess if it’s a power supply issue it could be the quality of the supply being sent to it. A lot of workshops have old power lines which most of the time aren’t really suitable for heavy load equipment. But like with all machinery like this, if you take care of it, keep it clean, keep it well maintained then you shouldn’t have any issues! Brendan couldn’t do his job without his drum sander so I’d say that statement is a good enough review that it’s a good bit of kit!
@@EntropiaGuitars no problem at all! I personally haven’t had experience with the Laguna drum sander but I’ve seen them in many smaller workshops. Their size is really good. They’re not overly bulky but they can manage full size guitar body dimensions. So I guess that’s why I’ve seen them often. Many thanks for watching the video too!
