Wtf - watching that right now - feeling of nostalgia. And I see, at 5:14 "Your Friend Braviet has left a war2 game". I USED TO TEAM UP WITH BRAVIET ALL NIGHTS LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@13Sol46, that's actually incorrect. There were differences between the humans and orcs. The blacksmith upgrade prices were different, and from Castle/Fortress stage on each race played differently. Ogre Magi and Paladins, Mages and Deathknights. These are all drastically different and game changers.
As an sc2 player, my initial question is why not more production? So much money in the bank. My feeling is you could be producing 18 knights at a time instead of 6.
Being a Starcraft player, I never understood W2 players macro. Of course Viruz play is stellar, but why on earth would you stay on 5 barracks when you have 6 or 7 bases? Why not 12, or 15? It's not absurd, he was floating at 30K gold at the end. Then you would just have to attack move, because if your opponent really stays on 4 or 5 barracks, he will get obliterated by sheer number.
as i remember there was no big difference between humans and orcs. All the difference was in their looks, all the stats were exactly the same. But still it is a great game with an interesting story, music and gameplay. Even graphics looks soft and satisfying. Maybe beacause it is cartoonish
+13Sol46 Ogres/Paladins and Mages/Death Knights had different spells. Rangers and Berserkers had different upgrades. Human blacksmith upgrades only cost gold, while orcs cost gold and lumber. Generally orcs are considered op because they have bloodlust while paladins don't have anything comparable. Human strategy tends to revolve around clutch invisibility plays.
negative. orge magi has massive advantages with that bloodlust. try healing during battle ha. its should have been auto-heal to counter the pre-battle bloodlust prep.
Bloodlust is without a doubt extremely good spell, but I wouldn't say this makes orcs OP. If you're a reaaally good player, healing might be a very good tool (Ogre mages are still slightly better). Also human's mages are generally stronger than death knights, I think this fact makes the game kinda balanced.
nuke zuke IIRC they're exactly the same. The big differences between humans and orcs are Paladins/Ogre-Magi, Mages/Death Knights and Rangers/Berserkers.
Only 15 minutes in, I have no idea who wins but I've never seen Blue (Viruz I think?) play so good - the defense is so damn good it becomes an offense.
This guy playing on 8 cans of RedBull!
+csl11ab88 The average Stacraft2 speed.
Wich is why I stopped on starcraft: not healthy.
@@Scarletraven87 True this game can give seizures from all the micro. Starcraft 2 is much healthier and easier than this.
:( i freaking like these old games when i was a very small kid
Blue has this map so down. Amazing strategy with the mine control and blocking the passages with a mage guard hiding in the trees.
You know its an old video when someone has to go answer their door.

my childhood good times
Viruz is awesome haha, watching him as a human player has made me start playin them
I played wc2 for quite sometime when I was a kid, but never really learned how to build those concrete barricades he did next to the gold mine.

DID YOU JUST @ SOMEONE INSTEAD OF REPLYING TO THEIR COMMENT WHAT ARE YOU DOING
No, he @ SOMEONEed 4 years prior to this comment.

This is a true Tier 1 player. Prime Viruz would smoke u8.
1:28 Wait are you building walls? How? Is there a keybinding I didn't know about?
B W
I can not believe what I just saw, this guy is amazing
This game is so old now warcraft 3 I still play

Implying wc2 was/is as competitive as starcraft. That said, floating 30K gold is like floating 3K minerals in sc.
We are under attack !
Damn good game. So many poor dead peasants.
AlexhandrDenthanor yeah but they are the ones you should be going for. Take away your enemies ability to make gold and lumber and you will have him.

+13Sol46 I'll necro this but - the difference was in Paladin/Mage and Ogre Magi/Death Knight spells

+Brandon Pack orcs are op on land. humans op at sea.

If He had played Orcs, game would have finished in ten minutes: so is the power of Orcs compared to trash tier Humans in that game.
what is better dragon or this human bird rider I forgot how it is called I haven't played this game in ages
nuke zuke IIRC they're exactly the same. The big differences between humans and orcs are Paladins/Ogre-Magi, Mages/Death Knights and Rangers/Berserkers.
Orcs can cast bloodlust and haste on their dragons, which makes them extremely efficient killing machines for 20 seconds or so.
is war2combat available for mac?
yes
Wheelsmcdeals ace
I didn't see a link for a mac download at server.war2.ru
war2.warcraft.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=437107&highlight=mac#437107
Wheelsmcdeals ace Thanks! Not sure I want to burden my mac with vmware though. I'll hold off for now.
Hah, those proplayers never waste time on Footman and Archers later in the game...
axers + bloodlust are pretty good at killing dragons
Simon Huus Kristensen so let me get this straight ,even when the horde had ogre Magi in the long run they, LOST the second war?
Ermmmm yes? I think that should be pretty clear by now... :P
Вот это я понимаю контроль и блок проходов. Ну короч профи, что тут сказать.
