Join me as we explore the fascinating realm of radio frequency management! By the end of this video, you'll gain valuable insights into the role of RLC filters and how to tailor them for specific frequencies, noise reduction, and more.
Discover practical tips on selecting the right components and optimizing RLC filters for real-world applications. Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just curious about the world of signals, this video has something for everyone.
also in this video, you will get answers to the questions below
    What is a filter?
    What is a low-pass filter?
What are 4 main types of filters?
How to interpret the frequency response chart?
    Why radio signals don't mix?
    What is a high-pass filter?
How to select right values for the capacitors and inductors in RLC filters?
What is the role of inductors, capacitors and resistors in RLC filters?
How can radio players select and play the signal from the desired radio station?
Is the order of components important in RLC filters?
What is the difference between real and ideal filters?
What is the role of resistors in RLC filters?

What an epiphany! Absolutely obvious that all transmissions would be mixed together but never saw them that way. Thank you, filters make much more sense now. Thank you

Honestly, this is such a great video on filters. It's the best one I've seen so far that explains things so clearly. Thank you again for all the effort you put into your videos. This channel needs more exposure, it's by far the most informative electronics channel on UA-cam. I love the practical examples, its makes things so much easier to understand. Please keep them coming.

the video was fantastic. last week i made an EKG meter, using op amps to make the differential amp, the band stop filter, and the low pass filter, then displaying my heart wave form on my scope. now im trying to make the filters using passive components. this vid was invaluable.

Not to complicate things but how much of the differences between "real" and "ideal" components is due to phase shifts? The effects of capacitance and inductance always seem to be working against each other? And then there is resonance to further complicate designing a circuit. Thank you for your helpful insignts, appreciate the effort you invest in these videos.

Very well put together video. Well though trough. And a good explanation. This video is more worth then hours of EE study. As a maker of YT videos myself, my compliments I know first hand how difficult it is to filter (pun intended) out all the information that only makes things more complicated. Also I always like an immediate practical of theory just explained.
Just want you viewers to know this is also works for audio as bass and treble controls.

    • @Noconstitutionfordemocrats1

@elewizard My understanding of the universe is mixed up. The current can't change instantly through an inductor - how does it light up an led instantly, say, in series? I understand it would have the 2 volt pre-requisite instantaneously for the led, but how does that provide enough current to light it up? Is an led like a transistor in that there is a depletion region and such?

    • @elewizard
      @elewizard  6 місяців тому

Yeah, current can't change immediately though an inductor. But we are talking about nanoseconds or microseconds. You can't sense that, you have to use instrumentation to see that
