- The Real Pro Mod Association (RPM) held their pre-season warm-up event at Palm Beach International Raceway March 26-28th, 2016. There is a $20,000 purse being posted by the track in a 16-car qualified format.
People put a thumbs down on this need to get a life this stuff is freaken awsome
been involved with NHRA for over 20yrs, and ya know. im getting so that I prefer to watch Pro Mod more than anything. no million dollar crew cheifs, just hardcore cars that look like cars. keep it up

I went to a local track to see a FUNNY CAR when they were first invented.
These pro mod cars remind me a lot of them.

Pro Mod is my favorite class. They remind me of the Fuel Altered cars from the 60's and 70's the way they use all the track.

these cars amaze me I've been not going to drags much last 15 years they just keep getting faster i absolutely love the supercharged cars they are bad ass in my opinion scotty cannon is one of the best of all time in this class i still think he could shake up the feild if he showed up in one of those bad ass blown coups he drove back in the 90s he wen't to nitro funnies and then disappeared he was one of the best and still could be with his technology

Seems like with top fuel, they're so touchy, you very rarely see a close race. One car usually spins the tires or breaks. These pro-mods go at it!
You still have to be pretty tough to be a NASCAR driver because the concentration at 200 MPH for 3 HOURS is something beyond comprehension. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE BOTH, and BOTH deserve respect when you are talking speeds at 325 mph. It’s insane to comprehend such a thing, but I believe both DESERVE and have EARNED RESPECT from us that do not do this week in and week out. Semper Fidelio, Captain T, U.S.M.C.

+Steven R I guess to a driver who really can't afford it im sure he will probably go for halftrack racing for $50 if that's true but as a fan it's more exciting to watch Real racecars run 1320ft rather than 660ft

Nice to see Bob Raihim doin good in pro mod,, Used to see him up here all the time in the late 2000s early 2010s here in Michigan at Milan in our Heads up series RWYB and then in the Pro Nitrous series in ADRL/PDRL
Amazing stuff!! These cars are faster than UK Top Fuel Dragster/Funny cars back in early 1980`s!!! Quarter Mile too!!! Love it. . .Would have been nice to see pit walkabout, look at engines n chat to drivers / crew etc Brill Vid 9/10....
love the sound of the super charged cars. They sound like pissed off P-51 mustangs at idle. turbo cars sound a bit like a 1920 biplane...

I still think blower cars sound better than turb/nit cars. The turbos seem to be edging out more wins and quicker overall ET's these day though.

I still love the pro stock class in NHRA. But if it ever gets replaced I wanna see these cars in that spot. People just wanna see brute horsepower running 1/4 mile is that to much to ask.

I remember watching Pro-Mods run in Huntsville, Alabama when I was little run the 1/4 and they would tear the whole fucking car up if they had to to get it down the track
At the 13:35 the window of the yellow car gets fogged up from the fumes and then cleaned by the flames lol

Love these bodies I haven’t been able to go see any drags sense I saw Doug Kualeta do 326 at Sears Point raceway. Probably didn’t spell his name right sorry but the NHRA drags are the best

Confessions of a gearhead wannabe: I am not a big fan of drag racing (sorry). But Pro Mod ROCKS! After watching the Sprint Cup clones, It's really cool to see all of this variety. Ya just never know what's going to pull up to the line.

Can someone explain to me why P/M does not have to run BEAD lock wheels ????
+davie biggions They run wheel liners that basically accomplish the same thing, but do so without the need for beadlocks on the outer edge of the wheels.

What the heck is the breather on the deck lid of the caddy STS @ 8:19 ? Never seen a juice valve back there. Interesting.
Glitch it is a vent for a puke tank that way it can displace air to make room for oil if needed. Ex an engine lets go

Rumor has it he does NOT want to run faster than 5.80 to not give Nitrous guys a harder time than they already have. Everytime someone gets under 5.75 regularly, the rule book guys come out with a hammer to level it. Right now the blower guys needs the hammer, but all 3 of them have dominated at different times.

This is an IHRA track, not NHRA. Two different associations.
1. This was PBIR which is now closed and yes it was an IHRA sanctioned track.
2. This was the NHRA Promod Winter Warmup run at PBIR by the RPM association. So all NHRA teched and legal Promods run under R.eal P.ro M.od. Even had the NHRA promod announce there as well. Now they run this at Orlando last I checked.
