You made my day. Moved out of Jersey in 1992 and one of our last outings was taking the kids to Fort Mott. It was one of the places I loved as a kid. Thanks again.
Thank you for highlighting Rockingham State Historic Site! Your attention to getting the facts straight is also MUCH appreciated (a lot of misinformation out there). We will be looking much better after a 6-month renovation and will be reopen for tours later in the summer. All are welcome to come and see!
I grew up in Holmdel & drove by that thing never knowing it was more than a giant antenna or satellite dish. Knew kids who's dads worked at Bell Labs. Didn't know till recently it was built by famous architect Eero Saarinen.
Ya we moved to Florida in 1996 , to watch are grandkids grow up,,however i remember visiting fort mott in pennsville several years before we moved,,a good day spent at the site,,just drifting back in history!!!🎗🎗⚓⚓🏛

Unfortunately the horn antenna is no longer there.
No way, really!?!? Why would they get rid of that?
@@TheMickeyShuffle The Bell Labs moved. I guess they moved it as well.
@@michael7324 Wow, that kind of sucks. Hopefully, it is still available to see somewhere.
