Such a true pleasure and treasure to sit with two wonderful human beings this morning. The "Peace that passeth all understanding" flowed gently from this wonderful dialogue. Thank you.
Oh, thank you. What a privilege to be in the virtual company of two such eloquent, erudite and utterly compassionate human beings. Bless you both... this conversation even had a very welcome lightness of touch!
Dr. Bilimoria's distinction between mental transmission and permission was...mind opening. 🪷 He gave a brilliant summary en passant before mentioning Beethoven and the four worlds of Qabala; namely, that one can believe everything! 🙂
What an amazing conversation! Much of the content comports with my own thoughts, insights, and experiences springing from my own investigation during meditation practice. Buddha at the gas pump indeed! Much Love :)
I don’t get consciousness being described as an element. I suppose that is why Buddhism is not about a deity or doesn’t have a deity as what is perceived in Hinduism as a deity is here described as an element. I would not go with consciousness being described as being an element. It is ‘the hard problem’ for Western philosophy precisely because it is not seen as elemental.
Fantastic interview! I saw Dr. Bilimoria on the New Thinking Allowed Channel but the interviewer (Emmy not Mishlove) was horrible, giggly and unprofessional. I couldn't watch but am thrilled to find other interviews with him on youtube :)
Mr. Archer might remember from a past episode with Daniel Stone: Meher Baba believed that evolution is driven by the unfolding of consciousness. This consciousness evolves through various forms and experiences until it reaches a state of self-realization, or what he calls involution. Darwin's theory focuses on natural selection and physical adaptation, while Meher Baba emphasizes the spiritual progression towards unity with the divine. It’s a more holistic view that integrates the spiritual journey with the physical evolutiion.
I am surprised that we can now enter our comments on Rick's BATGAP pages. (Comments were 'closed'). When did this change? I'm sure I could not do this in the not-so-distant past.
Define "spiritual." Is it feeling some kind of way? We call that emotions in 2024. Is it thinking certain things? We refer to that as cognition. And the ability to self-reflect is a function of a self-awareness brain.
Question - DR Edi mentioned x3 elements. Body / Soul & Spirit. I wonder if you could explain / elaborate on this? What are the these three distinct elements?
Albert Einstein's quote : "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." ( I imagine(/hope) _religion_ meaning more _spirituality_ .. not a religious institution..)

The most profound statement made.

This was great! A part 2 would be good. 👏👏👏👏👏
The use of mindfully chosen words to describe the phenomenon of expansion of consciousness and evolution is appreciable.,😊
Nice. He speaks like J. Krishnamurti. Eye closing , British accent and all...
@ww9519: I thought the same thing; how much like Krishnamurti he sounds. Very interesting and thought provoking discussion.
Modern Day Krishnamurti, thanks!
The word "consciousness" immediately takes you from reality to something else rarely mentioned, a "force" innately human that drives us all
Innately beyond human I would say. The essential nature of everything.

What a dignified cat. I like him a lot.

If they become conscious, they deserve the same rights as humans.

Yes how are they distinguishing a difference between soul and spirit ?

Multiple galaxies, yeah but multiple universes? Ummm nope, just one 'Verse :)

Good one...almost missed the pun
such a limited view of science. It is just a method, a procedure of working that prevents fooling ourselves because of checks and feedback.
Thanks
