I began looking at UA-cam videos to research the different bags and help make my decision. I love this bag! I got mine back in 2010 on a trip to Paris. After almost 4 years, 2 cracks appeared on the top where you had mentioned. I contacted LV and I will be getting a replacement. The downside is that my 4 year old bag has a beautiful worn in color which takes time to develop. I would keep it even with the cracks but I am afraid they will spread. I was told by LV to NEVER use any conditioning lotions or creams on these canvas bags as that causes cracking, also if you live in a cold climate the temp changes can cause cracking. Personally I think they should fix this issue with the seams to prevent this from happening to $1600 bags.

I finally got my Artsy MM (old model without the new trim) pre-loved and I’m loving it. I watched your videos and the other UA-cam videos for years and finally got it. It’s a 2011 but it was in excellent condition like it wasn’t even used with blue tape still on rivets. Your videos are always so helpful and I missed them. Not sure if you’ll see this but I just had to share 🤗🥰! All the best !!

No, the Damier Azur is still available. Its the Artsy GM that's being discontinued. I have tried to find that bag and its not available. The MM is also available. The GM is huge but I am settling for the smaller one like you have. Love it.
I love my Artsy. I've had mine almost a month now and I just think it's so effortless and versatile( and it's so huggable:). I guess I lucked out because mine is made in Spain too(not crazy about the cloth tag idea). I hope you enjoy your bag as much as I love mine:) Sandy

At LV store now, and I'm pondering about the purchase of the Artsy MM. I, too, have been told by one of LV customer service reps that wearing deodorant would stain the bag. She also told me, that LV has made the bag with a new softer material due to several customers complaining about the bag cracking. When your paying this type of money one should not have to encounter such issues.

I wear all my purses over my shoulders. I have a Speedy and 2 other top handle bags but I always go back to shoulder bags. Is the artsy difficult to carry over the shoulder? I think with the new look one cannot put the bag on the shoulder as the vaccheta will get damaged as it goes close to the arm put. If you hang on a door know it will crack

As of next month I will be prepared to purchase my Artsy GM in the Damier Azur print and carry it a lot in the off season for break in time so that hopefully my handle and leather trimmings will have a beautiful light shade patina by my spring vacation. I sold mine because it seemed to be hard to get into and the inside snap pocket never stayed closed. I was just curious if anyone else had this issue. I sometimes regret selling it. I personally prefer the Delightful. I sold the Artsy, because I just didn't reach for it as much. It is a bulky bag, not as easy to get in/out of. BUT there is no discounting it is a beautiful bag. I loved the sound the handle made (like a creaking saddle). LV is releasing new Delightfuls in Azur and Damier Ebene and Monogram with colorful linings in April of 2015. I still look at the Artsy and maybe it will rejoin the collection someday.
The inside of my artsy says Made in Spain, so i am not seeing that cloth tag. I just picked mine up a few days ago. I also cant find my date code in the pocket like you mentioned for the spot. Help!
The date code is ghost imprinted in the lining along the seam in the pocket on the opposite side of the d ring. You have to look close to see as it is ghost stamped. Hope that helps.
Gotcha. I will defiantly look there. I can see it on my insolite but was having issues with the artsy. Also...was there suppose to be the material tag and the sticky tag that you see in the small leather goods in the artsy as well ? I didint have one and I could have sworn those came with it. Btw..I wanted to thank you when you and I spoke a while back about this bag. You gave me some good pointers that lead me to choosing this bag. Next purchase I will be getting the speedy. It truly is personal preference. Personally, I prefer the Metis - overall more functional for me. But I get that the Artsy is a very appealing bag for many people because of the look. I just reach for the Metis much more often.

Continued... Everytime I've held the bag in the store, it's stif obviously, because it's new and empty. With weight applied to the handles, does it make a huge difference? In terms of the handles/straps staying on your shoulder without sliding down constantly, which is better, sully or artsy?
Is the artsy a newer design or palermo? I'm using it as a everyday bag, I'm afraid that the artsy bag is without zipper and does the artsy appearance looks "fat" when I carries many stuffs. But artsy is a gorgeous bag :)
Yes i saw the revieuw on the keepall strap. Looks realy pretty. I want the keepall 50 also, because the 45 seems to small en the 55 to big. Do you want to make a review on the keepall or not? Well as of today the Louis Vuitton website still offers the GM Artsy in both prints for sale. But not to totally discard your claim. I will have to look into it because in the event that is true whatever the website is offering could be the last of them and I may need to put a push on getting mine soon.

A ghost stamp is a date stamp that is stamped directly into the lining.

I have 4 and all are made in the us, but I thought maybe when I buy my next one I should ask if I could have one made in Spain or France. Do you know if they can/would do this?

I purchased on pre owned and unfortunately there is a small tiny mark (eyeliner maybe?) at the bottom of the bag, do you have any tips on how to clean alcatara? Thanks so much for amy advice.

It truly is personal preference. Personally, I prefer the Metis - overall more functional for me. But I get that the Artsy is a very appealing bag for many people because of the look. I just reach for the Metis much more often.

Continued... Everytime I've held the bag in the store, it's stif obviously, because it's new and empty. With weight applied to the handles, does it make a huge difference? In terms of the handles/straps staying on your shoulder without sliding down constantly, which is better, sully or artsy?
Is the artsy a newer design or palermo? I'm using it as a everyday bag, I'm afraid that the artsy bag is without zipper and does the artsy appearance looks "fat" when I carries many stuffs. But artsy is a gorgeous bag :)
Yes i saw the revieuw on the keepall strap. Looks realy pretty. I want the keepall 50 also, because the 45 seems to small en the 55 to big. Do you want to make a review on the keepall or not? Can't decide which bag in MONO is better for everyday use? I don't really like big bags but sometimes I need to care a lot of stuff with me... Yes, I have seen it in the new TUILERIES. I find it much less offensive than the large cloth tag (JMO).
Well as of today the Louis Vuitton website still offers the GM Artsy in both prints for sale. But not to totally discard your claim. I will have to look into it because in the event that is true whatever the website is offering could be the last of them and I may need to put a push on getting mine soon.

I found 5 cracks inside my artsy mm bag i got mine at Saks Fifth Avenue in 2011 in January 17 i took it to the store the lady took
picks and told me that it will take 2-3 weeks I'm still waiting all this money this is how we are treated i just want my replacement.
