Today Sports Dissected is welcomed back to Fayetteville by the Arkansas Football brass for a tour of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium and its surrounding areas. The recent renovations include a new locker room that mimics that of the Dallas Cowboys’ locker room (thanks to alum Jerry Jones) and eye-popping branding throughout the entire facility. “Our goal is to win championships, and in order to do so, you have to have championship-level competition venues,” says Arkansas Football reps. Agreed. Have to maintain top facilities to even be competitive in recruiting in the SEC. Was pleasantly surprised with the finished product. I’m sure Jerry Jones contributed a boat load of money.

@@Arkansas4lifeWPS I forgot about the Walton family. They’re huge in Arkansas and I heard they give to a ton of causes. But if more alumni and state businesses put more donations in. Arkansas could have a top 5 athletic/football facility. They’re basketball complex is pretty cool too.
Truth is Arkansas has had amazing facilities for over a decade. But with the worst to ever do it (Chad Morris) nobody knew it.

That dude literally gave his blood sweat and tears to play for Arkansas, and his story is inspiring, the retired number 77 should have a place in the new stadium. (At least in my opinion he should)
His locker and jersey is in the front lobby of the building where the public enters its protected by glass. They just did not show the lobby at all but he does have a tribute

@@PawPawGreg Oh ok. Thats an amazing but also very sad story. I found the movie online, and read the description, thought it sounded interesting so my wife and I watched it. I had no clue (initially) that it was a real story.
So after watching it, I was intrigued so I researched him a lot online. Brandon is proof that hard work and dedication will get you anything you want.
Yeah, gotta give probs to Arkansas…these facilities are elite! UK did great but damn….these are next level. Definitely the best Game day locker room I’ve seen in the SEC.

I watched Arkansas beat my BYU Cougars. Oh well it happens. I love seeing this. It's really nice facility. I hope to make a trip next year for the BYU game in Fayetteville. Pitman the coach is so cool. Loved how he is as a coach from what I have learned.

Great video, learned a lot about the Arkansas program.
Arkansas did a great job! Amazing facility no doubt. 160,000,000 is a lot of money. I'm sure the student athletes will love it. I looked at the Razorbacks football record over the past twenty years... The fact that a team that is average and was capable of building this I think helps other programs show if they can invest, they can make their program attractive. I hope this helps with recruiting and gets even more programs to follow their footsteps. If football programs do what Arkansas does it's going to be pretty hard for a recruit to pick one place to go to if all the facilities look like this. Good luck to Arkansas in the coming season.

We need to stop bringing up the Waltons as donors. They have no interest in athletics since Bud passed. Their money goes to higher education: primarily business, agriculture, and art.

The University is not going to screw up their relationship with the Walton's when the Walton's donate $300M for a new Business, Agriculture, and Arts center. UofA athletics has Jones, JB Hunt, the Martin Family (out of LR) and the Foundation which fundraises $10s of Millions for each cycle. There are more that keep their donations private of course.
I see these incredibly EXPENSIVE looking lockers for these college athletes. And I think to myself, WHY CAN’T THE NCAA JUST PAY THE STUDENT ATHLETES!!!????

The wasting of money on athletics like this for an institution that is supposedly for education is fucking ridiculous. The top university in the state of Arkansas is meant to educate its populace not be mediocre in the sec. It’s interesting how all the poor southern states have their top universities do this. Great leadership, priorities are definitely in the right place.
When Jerry Jones, the Walton's(Walmart), the Tyson family (Tyson chicken), and J.B. Hunt (The largest trucking company) all within 20 miles, you get some good stuff!!!

As a Hogs fan, you grow up loving the Razorbacks. We don't really have a pro team other than the Cowboys, so the Hogs are THE team in the state of Arkansas. It makes us pretty unique.
