Hi, thank you for watching and your comments! This Krautfest is one of our favorite festivals, so we were very much looking forward to the first one in three years :) Have a good night!
Thank you for this video. I've been to Echterdingen four times but not in October. Three times in September and one time around Christmas 🎄⛄ and New Years. But One day when I visit Germany I will make the effort to be around this festival.
Thank you so much for watching :) We'll do our best to make another video that you will enjoy! (Please wait a little longer for the Heilbronn video that you have requested🙏)
You where there VERY early. Really not many people there. We went sunday at about 2 PM and it was just stuffed with people. But that "Fest" is really great. As a local I love it because it´s actually very german for the present time. Of course it´s about making money but this is really mostly local companies, kindergardens, clubs or NGOs like the red-cross or the ASB with those dogs or the local volunteer fire-fighters, soccer clubs and so on. And also those partner-cities like the hungaren stand, you should have tried that saussage ;-) And try the Deie from the "Landfauen" ;-) And many of us born and /or grew up in that area really visit that Fest eveery year to meet up with people we grew up with, old friends. But it does also represent modern, open germany with all those international friendship clubs involved. Like all the partner cities, greeek and turkish frindship clubs next to each other (notice the small details), and even a german-american friendship club. I´m glad you had a great time and if anyone is going by car I reccomend parking in Stetten and taking that free shuttle bus. ;-)
Hello, thank you for watching and your comments! You are very knowledgeable about this festival. Thank you for sharing so much about it :) Yes, we were looking forward to visiting this festival as it is one of our favorite festivals. (Which is why we arrived so early.) If we can visit again next year, we'll definitely try what you recommended. One last time, thank you! Schönen Abend noch :)
@@JPUSJourneys IIt's just the real "swabian thing". And I'm glad you liked it. Also some cringe stuff there like Kraut-weighing or "Krauthobeln" but we germans love cringe stuff (why else would we llove David Hasselhoff? 😁😁😁) We had some conversations with expats there and I think we as those cold germans even made some international friends this weekend. At least some email contact to some Americans we translated for at a Turkish sales booth ;-) But in context: this area of Germany is very international due to companies like Mercedes, Porsche and most important in history of inernationality IBM ;-) so many people here are connected to NY State in some sort. I lived in Poughkeepsie as a kid a couple of years for example.
So interesting to know about the culture of each country and region! We hope one day, if we have the opportunity, we'll be able to be involved and help with such events, not just observe them :) Thank you for all the information you have given us. Einen schönen Tag!
Just joyn the FFW - freiwillige Feuerwehr - the volunteer firefighters . Youll be "germanized" from the very first second! 😁 It's Kind of like serving in the army in the US. Europe is just very different in some cases.
