STP caught a lot of unwarranted shade for whatever the reason. Maybe because they weren’t from Seattle or people thought Scott was an Eddie Vedder knockoff? The irony in this is Eddie was living in San Diego when auditioning to be part of Pearl Jam, and SD is where STP was from? Scott had nothing in common with Eddie as a frontman after looking at their body of work. You should react to Atlanta from STP, such a great song & Scotts vocals are very haunting… Scott was an iconic front man, and despite his illness, better than Eddie (and Eddie is brilliant)
One of my favs from STP .. great album Core ….Dead & Bloated , Crackerman , Piece of Pie , Wicked Garden , Creep , Where the River Goes ..all good stuff . Acoustic version of Plush is prob my fav from them . ua-cam.com/video/xnWGJoPvQ5U/v-deo.html ..Their Purple album pretty good too Vasoline , Unglued , Meatplow , Interstate Love Song , Kitchenware & Candybars , Silvergun Superman . Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart my fav from their 3rd album , Down is prob my fav off their 4 th album . Great band , big AiC fan and fan of this era of music
Oh my goodness, I love Atlanta!! Scott has a wonderful voice and it really comes through on that song. We will definitely add that one to the list. Thank you !
Stone Temple pilots were never a "grunge" band. They were from San Diego. Early on their sound got them often compared to Pearl Jam, but they were clearly very different if people listened closely.
Yes that’s true, but subject matter withstanding,it is a good song instrumentation wise and Scott gives a great vocal delivery. Some of the best songs in rock were about some shady subject matters in rock history.
STP…. My favorite band ever

They didn't seem aware the true meaning of the song's lyrics.
Those angry chords still give me chills.
