The “best” social media platform is UA-cam cause it s very educational. It doesn t feel like ur using social media when ur on UA-cam cause ur always learning
Without a doubt. With Instagram, u really have to try to not scroll passively. A lot of ppl just scroll passively. Also, providing value to the table is important on Instagram like leaving insightful comments

Jeana de Guzman I’ve now deleted all my social media, never felt happier! Living back in the real world is very peaceful and empowering. Fb has just become a site of endless arguing, it’s a toxic scourge upon society
Los Torres If you are still interacting _WITH_ others, regardless weather what platform you use. That in it of itself is considered _SOCIAL_ Media. If you are using or browsing the UA-cam comment section, then it is accepted as being social media weather you like it or not. The UA-cam comment section has approval mechanisms such as the like ratio, and also a subscription feature which people abuse as a substitute for "friending."
Agreed. I got rid of my Facebook account a month ago. And it feels awesome. Sucks that I can't message my old friends anymore, but in all honesty, I just wanted off FB for good. Now if I could just get off Instagram since it's owned by Facebook as well. I keep it because of funny and cute posts I follow.
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Idc what other people are doing and other people probably don’t care about my 10 hours a day on my pc so I don’t use any social media lol
I stopped using social media 8 months back and life is so much better now, I'm a lot happier and I have a lot, a lot of time for other things which I wasn't able to do before. Life's better :)
I also deactivated my all social media account and you know what life became more social and productive.😇 Everyone should give it a try it is damn beneficial.
Da Bossman without social media and not without phone mate. Social media is more time waste. Social media is an addiction which makes you feel that you are social but in reality it makes you more unsocial and far from society.
I quit Twitter 28 days ago. I just got up one morning and decided I'd had enough and deactivated my account. It became a "job", feeling obligated to tweet, like, comment etc. and I probably spent 4 hours a day on there. Plus I felt it was making me narcissistic, like I was so important that I actually thought people cared about what my salad looks like. First 2 weeks were hard because I was really addicted. But now I feel free! Never going back. I'm a lot happier and my brain feels clear and focused. Good decision.
I quit Instagram and Twitter Only look at fb a few times a week for Ten minutes or so Not all day & half the night like I use to I have gotten alot done& feel better
What were you doing with your entire life where you would look on your phone so much that you never had time for anything else. I don't get these social media brakes or quitting social media like maybe just look away from the phone or delete the app and not care so much goodness
I feel really good knowing that someone is doing the same as I did. On the the 3rd of February, 2018, I'll be completing my " A year without social media" experiment; if we don't count UA-cam as social media. 😅 It's safe to say that the more you get away from social media the better life is. More productive, more happy, more focused, less drama, and more time reading useful things rather than filling our brain with junk. Really glad to watch this video. 💛
Mrs. John i agree because i am kind of introverted, but when i deleted all of my social media i started to notice that I've had more time interacting with people
I had over 1,000 Facebook friends, no longer use Facebook. No one knows I’m gone. People are self centered, it’s all about them! I have so much more time for me!
I did the same thing 8 months ago and now my daily schedule is changed, definitely recommend you to do it, whenever you will do that you will see there are just a few people will keep in touch with you which are real and you don't need to make everyone happy and satisfy!
I only have snap and Instagram. I’ve been off both for 2 weeks. The benefits are crazy! My brain feels less all over the place I feel more focused when studying. I have more time so I’m more productive. And I don’t have the constant urge to keep checking for notifications, I feel so clear headed. It’s so great and shows social media is just a waste of time.
This video makes me realize that I need to stop this social media thing. I spend around 12 hours a day on Twitter.. which leads to weight gain due to stress, anxiety, loneliness, and depression
I deleted my twitter back in 2011-2012; Instagram in 2015, and deactivated facebook since last November. Its been great; keep up the good work! #socialMediaisPoison
We all know that we don't need social media because we have actually lived the majority of our lives without it unless you are really young. We just need to get out of this habit that we have slowly crawled into of going on it all the time.
that's cool. i am quitting fb and i want to ig but part of me still wants to hang on to it. your righ theres no going back. does youtube affect you at all in wanting to go back?
I have fb and Twitter but haven't used them for years, just logging in a few times per year "just to see", and haven't even tried Snapchat, Instagram and whatever. Basically because I have very little social life (heh...), but besides that, if you don't have any of these it's like you don't exist for most of people. But when I see them opening insta and scrolling, liking, scrolling, liking... Seeing like 50 pics in 5 seconds and liking them almost automatically, mostly from girls seeking attention and stupid trends and filters... It's when I know I'm glad I don't have them, and don't feel like trying them at all
It’s hard to quit in a sudden action. First you should turn of all the notifications. Then you will feel great. After 1 or 2 months it will be easy for you. Try it. It’s worked for me.
Permenently deleted Facebook, instagram & snapchat yesterday. The problem for me was i was looking on everyone expect my own self and it took me in so many directions in life. I was looking for validation becorse the back bone of my soul is weak. How pathetic!

I deleted Twitter a few months ago, didnt realise how much of a toll it took on my life before I quit. I would spend so much time on it I'd get headaches, stay up all night and I genuinely believe it contributed to my depression. Quit it. Its not worth it.
100%! I've been off my personal FB for over a year. Totally deleted IG today after not being active for a year. Deleted Twitter. Still on YT but that's it. It is fricken amazing what it has done to focus, energy etc.. Also, have you guys watched the Social Dilemma? A friend let me watch it on his Netflix (no tV for me).....you won't want to continue. TOXIC! Much love to you.
Yep, works well, I was using Facebook and Instagram, then shit happened in my life, well I basically made shit happen. So I decided it was time for a change, and a few months later, I can say I became way more productive, I've read a whole lot more, I've worked multiple jobs, I nlw do engineering school plus work at an engineering firm part time. I also used to play video games quite a lot actually, one day, a few weeks after I stopped social media, I decided it was too much of a waste of time, I sold/deleted everything. Steam account, Origin accounts, sold gaming monitor, now I don't even think about playing anymore. Also, all the shit caused md to lose the people I was closest too, I got to meet new people, I make more money now, I am becoming a much better person, I have goals, I've learned so much from reading/listening to books. Main person I think everyone should read is Thomas Sowell, amazing man
last year I took a break for 6 months it was part of my new year's resolution and I realized how much stress being on Facebook caused me. I then got back on to try to get my business going but instead of getting business I got caught up in old friends and family all of the things going on in their lives without having them in my actual daily physical life. Yes it was nice for awhile but then yet again I have felt like it has become too much and taking up alot of time that i could be using on other things in my daily life that actually could use and deserve my attention so I have decided to not get back on for awhile if ever again because it is extremely exhausting. I miss the way things use to be where your friends are your neighbors and you actually know what is going on with your family and friends by actually sitting down and having a conversation, where you are not occupied by who liked or didn't like something you post, going outside for a walk is refreshing being glued to everyone's issues that you may or may not be able to control can become mentally and physically unhealthy as well as draining. i think sometimes a break is neccessary
This is so true, when i see waiting lines now a days. They look down and scroll on their phones. It makes then less creative in dealing with time in doing nothing. Ever since i quitted social media, life has become more meaningful, the point is that you are not needing all of the information people keep on posting. If they invite you to a party, your REAL friends will message you through your cellphone number.
I did that for a year only to stay focus on my school for final exams to go in college. The first one-two or three weeks are hard but you're gonna like. Try it just once. If you want. Quit it forever
I deleted all social media’s, except UA-cam, (bc I still wanted to watch videos) for all of last years summer. It was worth it and a lot better than with social media. I really recommend people do this.
This is so true! As a teen it became so difficult to suddenly change my ways of fitting in and knowing everything at every moment. Social media was an excuse to relate to people and appear social but have no real relationship with true values, this easily became a visible problem as I began being more judgemental, depressed and lonely. I’m also a believer of Christ and I felt like social media had become an idol so I bravely decided to let it go and OH MY FRICKING DAYS MY LIFE HAS SO MUCH PURPOSE AND FREEDOM a lot of feeling delivered was actually on reasons I never thought that social media was the fault for, like my falling grades and insecurity. As a youth in the current age TRUST ME it’ll make everything change for the better 😄
I have already done it. It does feel like I changed. More determined to pursue my goals. Everyone should mind their own business and not seeing what others do. That’s why mental diseases appear in young people.
I've been off Facebook now for two months. You may have urges to go back. I encourage people to just deactivate. Technology in general has taken control of us. I actually went old school and purchased cds. In some ways, its driving people crazy.
I have found that social media doesn't really make us more social. but instead robs of us the better option of communicating in person. In my 3 weeks off of social media, despite my social anxiety, I am able to communicate so much better in real life and approach people without stuttering. I am now able to experience real human connection and as a loner, this is pretty exciting. Best decision of 20/20.
This is so relatable it's been a month i have deleted my Instagram account yes,it is so relaxing now my thoughts are unambiguous and I am more productive in my life than ever🥰 it feels great.
For me, youtube is the video equivalent of google search. You get to learn legit infos not rumors nor hearsay. (well if you're on the right place in youtube)
I quit social media two years ago and It's the best thing. I have finished reading upto 25 books in this time - it's more than 2 books a month and everything's changed in a better way. I am calm and relaxed in almost any situation and people end up wondering how I am doing it Lol. Everything is amazing and more meaningful now. ☮️
Really. That is just awesome. Live in real life, not virtually. If u don't have guts to quit it. Then u must watch: THIS IS OUR WORLD BY STEVE CUTTS.👍👍👍. Plz do watch this. This will surely help.
I tried it for a month but I felt very isolated from the rest of the world and my thoughts were killing me because I deleted it due to some personal conflict with a dear one. So it did not really work for me
I mean you can always turn off notifications. I find that helpful especially for apps like instagram. I just post a pic, no caption, no filter, no tags and no notifications. It's not as addicting.
The best thing she says in this video is how mindlessly scrolling through social media makes us fail to deal with ourselves and our emotions. It’s a cope out from having to deal with ourselves. That’s gold
@@tylerhorton8537 good for you and same goes to me.seriously i dont care abt social media anymore(execpt yt lol)..i noticed my life more comfortable when i quitted social media
I did a 6 month social media fast myself. The first couple of weeks were hard but after that it was smooth sailing. I ended up not even wanting to get back on but I did with new intentions.
I like chess and all, but it’s a little too slow paced for me and I typically lose, probably because I’m impatient and make my moves too quickly. I love Video games.
I never started with social media.... But as a 20 year old, it's tough!! This is helping me stay strong!! Thanks a lot!! Keep the mind sharp and stay fun!!
And I quit everysocial media for forever, and believe me it's so relaxing only use WP and Yt and it's almost an year now and it's peaceful and this "forever" will last for forever 😂😂😂,
I have about a month and a week since I’ve used any type of social media and it feels damn good honestly! After my break up with my ex of 2 years and 7 months I decided to cut off all social media cause I just felt like I needed a fresh restart in life. I feel like I’m more productive in my day and there’s more time to get things done. I’ve gone back to the gym, stacking up my money, and becoming a better version of myself. It feels good interacting with people and meeting them face to face. I hope I can continue keeping this up cause I don’t want to plan on returning to social media.

I deleted Twitter a few months ago, didnt realise how much of a toll it took on my life before I quit. I would spend so much time on it I'd get headaches, stay up all night and I genuinely believe it contributed to my depression. Quit it. Its not worth it.
I’m a week away from social media and I feel happier already to be honest
It's been 53 days since I have used social media. Feels great .
UA-cam is also a social media if you think about it
@@ujjwalmk ohhh...Accha...aise hi bhi hai kya
Been away from facebook for years now, no instagram. My life is great, and more meaningful, with real people around me.
I quit social media for 1 year. I recommend others too quite social media. U guys will have more time to
Concentrate on ur stuff.
I'm gonna quit Snapchat; it's kinda crap😑
Micah Taylor Exactly.
I quit Snapchat 2 years ago. I still don't regret it.
Calling it now...
Lets start a movement to quit social media the garbage of communication.
#BreatheAgain
I’m in 👊🏽
I have already done it. It does feel like I changed. More determined to pursue my goals. Everyone should mind their own business and not seeing what others do. That’s why mental diseases appear in young people.
I'm two weeks into my cleanse and I feel great! 🤗
I've been off Facebook now for two months. You may have urges to go back. I encourage people to just deactivate. Technology in general has taken control of us. I actually went old school and purchased cds. In some ways, its driving people crazy.
Day 1 without social media.
Focusing on good.
I deleted social media around a month ago I fell so much better every body should do it x 🖤🙌🏻
Good for you! I did this four or five years ago and never looked back. I rediscovered books. I literally only use my phone for texts or calls
It’s only been a week and I already feel less anxiety 💚
Does UA-cam counts if I would try to quit social media for a week?
I second that! 👍
No
For me, youtube is the video equivalent of google search. You get to learn legit infos not rumors nor hearsay. (well if you're on the right place in youtube)
If you browse the UA-cam comment section, that is Social Media. But if you don't use it then you're free.
I mean I took a break from UA-cam but now I’m doing it for Facebook & Instagram I have Twitter & Snapchat but I don’t use them often
already quit social media , just watching to stay on track ...😅😅
Kinda ironic we’re watching this on social media
It's not actually a social media but a video creating platform 🤗
I quit social media two years ago and It's the best thing. I have finished reading upto 25 books in this time - it's more than 2 books a month and everything's changed in a better way. I am calm and relaxed in almost any situation and people end up wondering how I am doing it Lol. Everything is amazing and more meaningful now. ☮️
Really. That is just awesome. Live in real life, not virtually. If u don't have guts to quit it. Then u must watch: THIS IS OUR WORLD BY STEVE CUTTS.👍👍👍. Plz do watch this. This will surely help.
I've been free and clear of all "social media" for over 6 months now and I feel so much better these days. This video is spot on!
I tried it for a month but I felt very isolated from the rest of the world and my thoughts were killing me because I deleted it due to some personal conflict with a dear one. So it did not really work for me
mysterious lass same thing happens to me right now ...
Then you probably shouldn’t go back
Aayushi Singh u feel isolated bcs you dont have a hoby or a goal you aim for in your life!
I deleted my instagram after listening to her. Believe me it is 5th day and i do not miss it at all . I have ample time in my day now.
I ll try
I mean you can always turn off notifications. I find that helpful especially for apps like instagram. I just post a pic, no caption, no filter, no tags and no notifications. It's not as addicting.
Who needs social media when you have UA-cam
The best thing she says in this video is how mindlessly scrolling through social media makes us fail to deal with ourselves and our emotions. It’s a cope out from having to deal with ourselves. That’s gold
Day 5 of social media cleansing. Let's see how far I go.
Well done keep up the good work!
Congratulations
Myleen Pang I quit instagram because I don’t care about using it
@@tylerhorton8537 good for you and same goes to me.seriously i dont care abt social media anymore(execpt yt lol)..i noticed my life more comfortable when i quitted social media
I did a 6 month social media fast myself. The first couple of weeks were hard but after that it was smooth sailing. I ended up not even wanting to get back on but I did with new intentions.
Never downloaded Social media apps and don’t like videogames. Only chess...
Madness Jack what's ur rating ?
Kalpana Rajesh 1500 points average. Best of my highschool. Going in tournaments to get my fide. Hbu
lichess.org
Marti Mtz yes!You play?
I like chess and all, but it’s a little too slow paced for me and I typically lose, probably because I’m impatient and make my moves too quickly.
I love Video games.
I never started with social media....
But as a 20 year old, it's tough!!
This is helping me stay strong!!
Thanks a lot!! Keep the mind sharp and stay fun!!
And I quit everysocial media for forever,
and believe me it's so relaxing only use WP and Yt and it's almost an year now and it's peaceful and this "forever" will last for forever 😂😂😂,
Quitting social media since last month ,and experience the more consciousness and improve productivity and find best of oneself .
i am 17 and i dont even have a phone, not that i cant afford it,just because i dont need it
Don't even have a Nokia?
@I miss Mama It's called a computer.
I also did it and now I find a lot of time for gym and to study new things..
There is a college humor sketch designed exactly about people like you.
I'm actually on my 4th day now and it still feel so weird but I'm loving it 😂
Sounds like a great idea tbh.
Yes it does but...
do u no da wae?
My only addiction f social media is UA-cam… it can be beneficial as well as harmful
I don’t use social media for 2 years tho 😂 😂
How's the experience?
I have about a month and a week since I’ve used any type of social media and it feels damn good honestly! After my break up with my ex of 2 years and 7 months I decided to cut off all social media cause I just felt like I needed a fresh restart in life. I feel like I’m more productive in my day and there’s more time to get things done. I’ve gone back to the gym, stacking up my money, and becoming a better version of myself. It feels good interacting with people and meeting them face to face. I hope I can continue keeping this up cause I don’t want to plan on returning to social media.
