@@carlgolec2884 I bathe my cat every ~6 weeks or so with an oatmeal shampoo, but he doesn't have diagnosed sensitive skin so I'm not sure if what I use will be of any help to you as it's not medical grade the equigroomer definitely helps with the brushing tho

I bought the Equigroomer from your store almost a year ago. My initial reaction on opening the package was "I just spent $40 for a painted block of wood with a metal plate?" After the first brush out of my collie mix during shedding season, I decided I would have gladly paid double. Our Equigroomer comes on every walk with us now!
I've seen complaints that "It is just a stubby bi-metal hacksaw blade in a painted chunk of wood for $40!!" here and on Amazon. As a person who makes nice things out of wood and metal for a living, with a fully-equipped production shop including spray-finishing equipment, I'm not sure I could profitably make these for public sale at the asking price. Oh, I could have bonked one out for myself in thirty minutes or so (tick tock, time is money), but eight colors and two sizes, ship anywhere? Nope.😀 I was perfectly happy to buy one from the inventor & support GWTD's channel in the bargain. The older cat really does enjoy it. The new kitten is still learning "A brush is not a toy; please do not bite or bunnykick the Equigroomer."
Our cat absolutely LOVES the equi-groomer we got from you! She actually begs for it, and her coat is incredibly soft and shiny once we use it. It's a deceptively simple device, but it is super-effective.
I'm new to your channel. As a dog owner, I find it wonderful how much compassion you have for each family's pet that you groom. 💓 I unfortunately had a Groomer that was a nightmare, but have since found Penny who is compassionate about pets like you❣️
It's a great brush. It helped so much with teaching my rescue that brushing was not something to be afraid of, and also when she shed for the first time (here with me) this summer. She even comes right up to be brushed when she sees it now and turns so I get all the "right" places. Thanks so much for introducing it to us.
This is a great product! One of my cats LOVES the equi-groomer and the other won't tolerate it at all. The one who loves it is the one who gets hairballs, and the incidence of hairballs is much reduced with regular equi-groomer sessions. One thing you need to know is that the loose hair that the equi-groomer collects does NOT get caught in the teeth of the comb at all. This means that, as shown in the video, you have a ton of fur being pushed along, and if there is ANY breeze, the hair flies all over the place! If you can use this outside, do so! Otherwise, you will have clouds of fur trying to float away. I generally put the cat on a fleece towel and continue the strokes of the equi-groomer to the end of the cat's body and then push the loose fur onto the fleece, where it sticks pretty well and I can gather it up later to throw away.
I recently purchased two of these brushes, one for my cat and one for my parents. Our dog at home has such a short, coarse coat that other brushes and combs were ineffective. The equigroomer works Great on her! My own cat lives it too 😻

I bought an equigroomer because of how you deshed the huskies and I am so happy with it. My husky looks much better because when they are shedding they look disheveled but now no matter what, he always looks good
I ordered an equigroomer from you and my dog (Australian cattle dog/pit bull mix) LOVES it. Literally the love affair of the century. I pick it up and he runs over, lays down and starts giving me kisses. I think he sees it as family grooming time 😂
Have gotten one myself, for my older black cat who would always be shedding a *lot* - now I groom her every other day with this and the excessive fur problem is *way* better. Thank you for posting this, I never heard of it before your videos! )Nyssa thanks you as well, with a head-bump and purrs)
This channel, once you groomed an australian cattle dog, stirred me to get my own equigroomer for my ACD. She *loves* it and practically falls asleep as I brush her. She thinks it's a fabulous massage coupled with bonding and I have a slightly less fuzzy dog leaving said fuzz across the house. Win win!
Absolutely, yes, 100%! My husband and I recently adopted a greyhound, and I just got an Equigroomer for him after seeing it on your channel so many times. It does wonders and my dog (who is generally easygoing anyway) enjoyed being brushed with the Equigroomer and so much came off of him that I didn't expect!... Or perhaps I should have expected it after seeing it so many times on your channel. For all of the business you have given Equigroomer, they should give you a percentage of the company, or at least a sponsorship. 🙃
Thank you so much for featuring this brush and talking about it so much, it's been a life saver. I have a rabbit and they have very thin, sensitive skin and he would not tolerate any brushing, this tool is perfect because it doesn't have to touch any skin, just gently removes the loose undercoat, I love it!
I just got the equigroomer recently. My cat is 13 years old and I've tried so many different brushes over the years and he's hated all of them. Not only did he actually let me brush him with the equigroomer, he came back for more when I was using it on my other cat. Absolutely amazing.
I have two Minpins and my younger guy Peanut is constantly exploding hair all over me. (Minpins don't usually loose a whole lot of hair, but man, he is the exception!!) I've tried a few grooming tools but had minimal results. I got the Equigroomer after watching your channel and was shocked how well, and how much, I actually got out of my hairy little monster!! So happy with this tool! Thanks so much for sharing!! ❤
I just got mine yesterday and it's already made such a difference! My longhair did fine with a regular brush, but his brother couldn't stand it! Gentler brushes didn't do much good and whenever I'd pet him a little cloud of fur would go flying. He's still getting used to it (he seems to like it, it just confuses him a lil), but this morning I pet him and no fur flying off! It's even made such a difference for the long haired cat too (and also he ADORES it already lol)
I bought one of these after watching a whole load of your videos and it's so good! My cat (now cats plural) didn't mind it which was the first brush I'd found he liked, and now it's a staple and I've even recommended it to other pet-owning friends
I actually bought an Equigroomer when I first started watching your channel! It has been an absolute delight to have, and my cats adore being brushed by it. They will walk over, plop down, and look at me like, "Well? Are you going to groom me?" 10/10 would recommend.
HOLY F*** is all I can say about the Equigroomer. I recently discovered your channel and I LOVE it. I was immediately curious about the Equigroomer when I watched videos where you used it, especially on short coat dogs. I have a pit mix and I’ve always groomed her myself. With every kind of brush I’ve used she wiggles and wants to shake off like it tickles her, and I could never seem to get much hair out of her. This tool is a GAME CHANGER. I feel like there are a million different grooming/deshedding tools for long hair dogs and not as many for short/fine haired dogs. I could not believe the amount of loose, fine undercoat I got out of her!!! And not only that she sat still and even looked like she was gonna fall asleep while I was using it. It is so gentle on her and I even had fun using it. I left a 5 star review on Amazon and had mentioned your channel since that’s where I originally saw the product and why not because you are AWESOME!!! Loretta and I thank you for opening our eyes to the Equigroomer. I will be recommending this tool to every pet owner forever from now on. Thank you Girl With The Dogs!!!
I can vouch for this, as I have bought an Equigroomer straight from your website. My cats love it, practically beg for it, in fact, and I can attest to how smooth and shiny their coats are now. However, despite my best efforts, I sincerely believe that my computer hates the Equigroomer with every ounce of it's being. As no matter how well I think I have cleaned up the fur from every other room, I'm still able to remove at least 1 & 1/2 cats from the fan's filters every month. 😆
The equigroomer is so simple but so amazing. This thing is just a saw blade (for cutting metal actually) in a wooden grip. No plastic, no funny mechanisms or pretty designs. Just pure functionalism with the easiest materials ever... I could build this thing at work (I'm a carpenter). The simple design of this thing shows itself on the price. It's half of the costs of any other high end deshedding tool that actually works. I have a dog with long coat, that sheds like he wants to go naked. I have to brush him every day thoroughly or I'll be drowning in in loose dog hairs at home. For about 50€ I bought a Furminator. Link is bearing a deep hatred for this thing. It's always a big drama using it. And then I found your channel and saw the equigroomer for the first time. I immediately bought it. Link absolutely loves this thing. No drama, no biting and no loose hair fleeting around...
I bought one during the summer after seeing you use it. My more sensitive cat appreciates it way more than the furminator. Both my cats don't want me to stop brushing them with it sometimes!
I bought one after watching your videos. My cat, hated being brushed, I tried regular cat brushes, those glove things, and this was the only brush she'd let me use on her. She loves it now.
My short-haired cats and dogs love this. It's gentle on them, but it works great at removing loose hair. I decided to try it on my wool rugs when I saw a layer of fine hair that the vacuum didn't remove completely. Phenomenal!
I've got to give kudos to Cheryl for discovering that a hacksaw blade rubbed sideways works so well. An ergonomic handle and good marketing have made it easy to use. My Calico even tolerates it to some extent!
Because of your channel i tryed it and bought equigroomer, as my akita hated any grooming tool i used on her and for equigroomer she stops moving and finaly let me groom her without any protests and shenanigans she usualy did any other time. So thank you so much you realy helped me and my akita. You are a lifesaver. 💯😉
Thank you Girl With The Dogs for recommending and displaying the use and effectiveness of the EquiGroomer brush! I just recently ordered one for my 1 y/o long-haired dachshund that I recently rescued from a small shelter over a week ago and I can't wait to use it on him when it gets to my door! 😄🥰🐶
Thank you SO much for showcasing this amazing grooming tool!! I have a medium haired domestic cat and come spring and fall it's a furnado in my home. I brush her everyday (she likes it), but during "shedding season" I feel like I can't keep up. I just purchased the Equigroomer and OMG. So amazing - unbelievably satisfying to see the layers and layers of undercoat come out. Thank you!
I got this brush a little over a year ago. Our cats, a short haired flame point and a long haired tortie, hardly tolerate any brush but they will the Equigroomer. Tried it on my parent's dog too and even he loved it. Never going without one as a pet parent ever again.
My cat is very sensitive about brushes, but she's got such long, fine hair, it takes forever to get her coat clean and untangled with her preferred pin brush. I'm taking your advice and crossing my fingers the picky little lady will approve 🤞
@@ppleeatpple She did like it! She enjoys it very much, far more than the defurminator deshedder we tried. It's great at pulling hair out of most of her coat. Unfortunately, it's not very effective at deshedding all through her undercoat. We still rely on her other brushes for that. But for a cat with a less ridiculously thick fur, it would probably work extremely well. And she really enjoys it, she'll flip over on her own to let us get all over which she's never done before. Very good for sensitive and nervous cats like my silly Sylvie 👍
I got one of these because of your channel! I have a very opinionated 13 yr old cat that has HATED any other brush, but she loves this one so much she drools when I use it on her. It also removes a ton of hair in a very satisfying way
This brush will be my dog's Christmas present because he's a mega fluffy Aussie and his long coat requires a lot of maintenance to keep it clean and mostly mat-free. This brush seems much softer than his shedding rake, it's be better for a daily usage. I'll also get one for my personal need as a horserider.
I got one & agree 100%. Best grooming tool ever! My dog has short hair but I was amazed at the undercoat hair that came off her. And she stands still, so it must feel good to her.
I use the equigroomer for my horse. She really loves it especially whilst shedding in the autumn because it is not irritating or scratching to the skin. 🥰 Also my American Akita tolerates it🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I just ordered one for our husky. I am hoping she will like this better than the rake she hates. No matter how careful and gentle I try to be she really seems to be bothered by it. Although, she is a husky so any attempt to 'steal her floof' is just horrible torture! Thanks for your awesome channel, really enjoy your content.
I bought one of these after seeing you use it and it's both disturbing and amazing how well it works. I swear I get enough fur when brushing my cat to make another cat. 100% worth it.
Finally got one of these for my corgis. Love, love, LOVE the Equigroomer. My younger corgi hates having his pants done with the Furminator, but he has no problems with this near his tender parts. So much comfier for me to use, too. And the immediately noticeable smoothness of the coat was great.
I bought this brush after seeing it on your channel some time ago. It's the first time I've bought something recommended by a youtuber but you can plainly see the brush doing a tremendous job in all of your videos. My cats love it, except for the one that hates grooming but there's always one isn't there? It's weirdly hypnotic to watch all that excess fluff come off. Brushing my kitties now is as relaxing for me as it is for them.
One of the best purchases Ive ever made, period. My dog is such a sensitive little princess when it comes to anything touching him, but with the equigroomer, provided he's sitting still for a change, I can groom him without him thinking he'll surely die from the mistreatment
We bought one on a whim and man oh man do they work! Long hair, short hair, cat, dog....I was skeptical at first but it legit works just like she shows it in the video. Well worth the $
The equigroomer is the single greatest pet grooming tool I've ever gotten. It is the only thing I've found that actually works on my dachshund's smooth short coat and does a great job for my long haired Chihuahua mutt thing.
I actually bought one of these from your shop, and it is fantastic. My kitties are still not super keen, but they tolerate it better than anything else - and I always get piles of fur.
All our cats (including the neighbor's cats) all love getting brushed with the equigroomer. In particular Pumpkin, our neighbor's very fat orange tabby, comes running whenever they see either me or my mom brushing any of the other cats and will literally wait in line for their turn. It is nice that it is very easy to clean and sanitize since we do use it on so many animals.
I bought one after seeing you use it a while back, and it actually works pretty well. This video did make me laugh a bit though. That lady actually said to herself, "Hmm my horse is sensitive, what can i use to brush him? I know, a hacksaw blade!". It is literally just a hacksaw blade attached to a wooden block. Again, I'm not saying that it doesn't work, and my dog seems to like it, but it does seem funny to me!
I have bought equigroomer because of your channel :) and this is my favorite tool. My cat has very thin and light fur, so every other brush causes the little hair flowing everywhere… including my nose and mouth. With equigroomer it falls nicely on the floor. And my cat tolerates it :)
Hacksaw blade in wood….it is ingenious and it does work well. After close inspection of it it’s a hacksaw blade embedded in a block of wood. $.50 for a hacksaw blade and you only roughly need a 1/3rd of it so if ya need one but don’t have the $20 ish dollars you can make one for around a $1.
I just ordered one a day or two ago, after watching you use it for a year or so! Cannot wait for it to come in the mail!! 🥰 (By the way, I love your videos and recommend them to everyone, lol)
The thing is, the only thing unique about it is the rigid shape. I got my first shedding blade for my horse over 25 years ago, and I'm sure they existed long before that. The difference is the blade is flexible, and has handles on each end along with a way to attach them together. You have the option to use it in a sort of teardrop shape, or as a long strip that moulds to the horses curves. They are insanely effective, and a life saver during shedding season. I would also like to point out that the equigroomer isn't the only one on the market. I felt that the equigroomer was too large for my little kitty, so I purchased a smaller version from ebay for $15CAD. It is beautifully made, with a gorgeous wood handle. I quite love it! Q
The Equigroomer is nice, and it works, however I was a bit surprised when I got mine and it's literally a fine-tooth hacksaw blade glued in a piece of wood. It's not quite as refined as you might think
I ordered one from your site when I first started watching your channel because I was amazed at the amount of hair it takes off! I’m a dog bather so I bought it specifically for work, but I was told I couldn’t use it because the “blade” was specifically tailored for horses and would damage the dogs’ coat and was told I couldn’t use it anymore 😔
I get that for a business standpoint. Always gotta mitigate risks. However it's a great tool for any animal and even makes your job easier. You may be able to change your employers mind by getting a similar device marketed towards dogs and cats or show them with evidence that it doesn't cause harm to the animals. Maybe by showing them comparisons between the equigroomer and ones tailored for other animals. Or search up the origin story of the equigroomer and how it made it to market for more animals other than horses. It legitimately is better on the cat or dog and even makes their coat smoother and healthier when used regularly. Maybe you could even convince them to order their own supply for however many stores they have. That rake looks painful so I can understand people's apprehension, but the teeth don't drag the skin of the animal like a brush would and could be beneficial to those with sensitive skin. If you approach things with facts, evidence and the goal of easing the worries and perceived risks of the product you'll usually go far. Or do like I said and skirt the rules with one made that is marketed towards dogs and cats lol
It's a fine-toothed hacksaw blade in a block of wood. Unless the coat is super thin, the teeth are nowhere near the skin to cause issue. I bought the 5" model marketed for dogs & cats from their site a couple years ago. My dog only complains when I get too close to his nethers.
Yep, our two cats love this. One is a long haired sooky darling who loves any grooming, the other is a short haired little (ginger) firebrand who does not want groomies, ever, unless I use the Equigroomer.
I just bought one the other day. I LOVE THE EQUIGROOMER. Thank you. My dog and 2 cats are loving it. Thanks to you educating me on the "Girl With The Dogs" UA-cam Videos. :)
I just ordered one for my “shedding machine”… hope it helps. I groom her short coat at least 4 times a week. She sheds non-stop all year-round….I get a full vacuum cup of hair every time I vacuum..fingers crossed. Thank you, love your vid’s and always wondered about that shedder tool ❤
My cat goes absolutely crazy for the equigroomer. I cannot recommend it enough! Just do not be surprised at how much undercoat comes off. It is unreal.
Awesome sauce. In the near future I will be purchasing an equigroomer for my kitten Requiem (because we know kittens grow fast) and most likely a happy hoodie when I blowdry her. I just adopted her 2 weeks ago.
This video was honestly so satisfying, I use two different grooming tools, but as I own a golden retriever it takes only two days for his fur to start shedding again🥹
I'll definitely give this a shot!! My old lady isn't as nimble as she'd like to be and has lots of excess fur and dander, so hopefully something like this can help her stay clean.
Even the neighbour’s cat « Jack » comes over for his grooming session with the Equigrooomer! My cat’s fur is so much healthier! It also helped with getting affectionately closer has Opie is a rescue!

My cat does NOT like being brushed and will actively REQUEST the equigroomer. He has actually brought it to me. It's absolutely incredible.
I bought the Equigroomer for my cat after finding it on your channel and I've been recommending it left and right since. Best purchase!
😆
Also it's such a satisfying process 😍
Oh my gosh seeing that fur come off the gray cat was sooooo satisfying! Holy moly so much hair! That has to feel so good for that kitty
And I "fell" for your ad and never regretted since. Best tool.
I ordered one from your site and it’s been a game changer!!
My cat hates brushes, but I saw you using this and got one. He loves it! Thank you
Thank you Girl With The Dogs for recommending and displaying the use and effectiveness of the EquiGroomer brush!
Any updates?
It also removes a ton of hair in a very satisfying way
I appreciate you promoting this just because you love it. I’m definitely getting one for my fat cat and my sensitive puppy dog.
My black lab LOVES this brush. I’m so happy we bought it from you. She will sit so nicely and let me groom her. 10/10
I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude at all and I couldn't help but laugh at "chihuahua mutt thing" lmao 🤣
Best description of a dog i’ve come across in ages 🤣
I actually bought one of these from your shop, and it is fantastic. My kitties are still not super keen, but they tolerate it better than anything else - and I always get piles of fur.
All our cats (including the neighbor's cats) all love getting brushed with the equigroomer. In particular Pumpkin, our neighbor's very fat orange tabby, comes running whenever they see either me or my mom brushing any of the other cats and will literally wait in line for their turn. It is nice that it is very easy to clean and sanitize since we do use it on so many animals.
Thank you for Loving them.
I bought one of these and it's the most amazing brush I've used for my cat.
Bought one of these for my black lab. She did not do good with deshedding brushes. She loves this! Thank you!!
YES! I bought it for my crew (dogs and cats) when I saw how well it worked on your channel. I love it and have recommended it to friends as well.
I use an equigroomer on my pet rabbits! It’s great during their shedding months
Liked so much I bought 4 more for other pet owners in my family. Never had anything a cat tolerates so well
I have bought equigroomer because of your channel :) and this is my favorite tool. My cat has very thin and light fur, so every other brush causes the little hair flowing everywhere… including my nose and mouth. With equigroomer it falls nicely on the floor. And my cat tolerates it :)
I took your recommendation and purchased one and it works perfectly! Thanks!
I got mine today and that’s literally what it is lol.
I bought one last week after watching your videos. My cat loves it.
I bought one from your site and it makes my cat so soft. She likes it.
I finally ordered one, it is superb! I also like the undercoat rake! This shop offers top notched tried and true products!👍😀💕
I just ordered one a day or two ago, after watching you use it for a year or so! Cannot wait for it to come in the mail!! 🥰 (By the way, I love your videos and recommend them to everyone, lol)
I have a black shorthair cat. When I use the equigroomer, I polish her right up and she gleams. It's so satisfying.
I bought an Equi-groomer after watching your videoes. After a few sessions, my dogs get super happy whenever I take it out.
I got one for my friend. His dog LOVES it. You pick it up and he comes running to get brushed.
This is my favourite brush to use on my horse during shedding season, it’s amazing.
The Equigroomer is nice, and it works, however I was a bit surprised when I got mine and it's literally a fine-tooth hacksaw blade glued in a piece of wood. It's not quite as refined as you might think
Looks deceive, what matters is that it works
My cat passed away last Saturday, and we had one for her. Her fur was so sleek, and i miss her so much. :(
I’m so sorry for your loss
@@poppyonline4034 Thank you, and its okay now. I'm moving on and this meant a lot to me!
Thanks for the vid. I have just bought an equigroomer. It is the best brush I've ever brought.
I immediately ordered one, the first time I saw you use it and it really is the best brush for both my cat and dog🙏❤️🐶😻🤗
My cat goes absolutely crazy for the equigroomer. I cannot recommend it enough! Just do not be surprised at how much undercoat comes off. It is unreal.
So satisfying to watch the fluffy babies get brushies ❤
LOVE my EquiGroomer! Best tool ever for shedding Australian Shepherds!
Awesome sauce. In the near future I will be purchasing an equigroomer for my kitten Requiem (because we know kittens grow fast) and most likely a happy hoodie when I blowdry her. I just adopted her 2 weeks ago.
I've been using it for about 5 months and it's the best, my cat and I love it. It's literally as effective as it looks in the vids😁😁
I bought one of these a month or two ago, and my cat LOVES it!!
Thanks for all your advice! My dogs and I are very happy!!
Thank you for sharing the tools you use! Best tool for my shedding Chihuahuas :)
Been using it for a year now after seeing you use it. My cats love them too!
I had an equigroomer for my horses. Thank you so much for showing me I could also use it for both my dogs and cats!
I ordered one for my little Princess Snowbelle.
cant wait to recieve it 😍
This video was honestly so satisfying, I use two different grooming tools, but as I own a golden retriever it takes only two days for his fur to start shedding again🥹
My cat climbs right up on my lap if I bring out this awesome de shedding tool! And it is so satisfying to me to use!!!!
