What computer do you recommend / use Unfortunately I see a lot of video editor / tutorial channels sharing massive value and wonderful gems but skipping over the basic fact that we need to know what pre builds or custom builds are out there that can handle this business with ease and what YOUR computer path was and how and what you upgraded over time
I started of learning editing in Sony Platinum studio, but at the time I couldn't get my head around any of it. I then tried Davinci but same problem again. I then learned how to edit properly in Movavi spent years learning everything in that & now I've just invested in Premier Pro so I can start going freelance.

Nahh Davinci doesn't lack something.lmao. Davinci Resolve have everything that I need that Premiere Pro doesn't have. and as an added plus: Davinci Resolve is not milking me. 😉

Absolutely. Focus on creating a solid portfolio. Have a website to showcase your work. Pick a niche. For me I started volunteering filming artist at live music events. And editing my footage .

Loved the vid, im a 16 year old high school student with a big passion for making and editing videos, as being a video editor for UA-camrs and making my own videos is what i want my career to be, starting with school projects in 6th grade i was hooked on the process. I understand i have alot to learn in premiere and in general still before i really start looking for jobs and im willing to learn its just that i dont know what order i should do things and learn things to improve my editing. My perfect scenario would almost be like an internship under a more established editor and i dont know how i could find something like that, i know theres alot of routes i could go in learning new skills and practicing them but im not sure were i should take it from here, any advice?

Hey, just FYI, I grabbed my phone and started filming footage, editing, writing scripts and recording voice over for my footage. That was 3-4 weeks ago, I now plan my shoots, draft story boards and have a much better feel for my editing style. Literally just started but I've come a little way, get out there and edit, it's free if you have a computer and phone already 👍

There's lots of stock footage out there for free on websites! Or pick up ur phone/cmaera and go take some footage!

I dont think you could off a phone but a cheaper laptop defiantly. IMO macs are overprices and under preform

Everything really, cooperate, social, youtube but mainly ad creation. I now charge a minimum of 500 for a 2min video
