- A Love Letter to Girlhood: a personal essay, visual diary, and short film that features a few letters sent to me through out my life and explores the bewilderment of growing up.
With imagery inspired by a Grimm's Fairy Tale "Briar Rose" and a stream of consciousness that was ignited during my reading of Virginia Woolf's novel "Jacob's Room".

your work as a writer and filmmaker is so beautiful and inspiring. the weight of discovering our past selves within us is unmatched to any other. i loved your use of the tale of sleeping beauty and placing it as a frame on your own life; i recently did a research presentation on reception history, which is the concept of why ancient stories stick with us and are told and retold throughout time. i think your film is a great case study in showing that briar rose speaks to so many girls about the bewilderment of growing up. never stop making art

this is such an underrated video, i can't believe it only has 6 thousand views (at the time i am seeing it). i watched the whole thing and i found it very touching, unique, and beautifully made. unfortunately, i find that a lot of content regarding "girlhood" focuses too strongly on aesthetics, or caters too much to a specific niche audience (mainly in its visuals) - but i found the words and your message to be very strong in this and the visuals were not overwhelming as the obvious spotlight of the video. loved it, actually.
As someone who has always been a sentimental person and observer in this world, I truly resonated with the part of the video that captures the feeling of being insecure and shy as a young girl. I always felt like I was unable to express what lies deep within me because I was so fixated on what people would say or do, and being deemed as different in the way I see the world. However your beautiful and moving words brought everything to surface in a way that now makes me realise how normal it is to feel this way growing up. I want to thank you for creating such a captivating piece of work from the words, footage, music and overall cinematography. This made me cry! Thank you for sharing something so personal and beautiful. The cinematography and writing is very well done, and I love that you included those precious letters. "Growing up is simply the easiest way to get lost" really touched me. I was always shy and loved to read and tell stories as a little girl, just like you, and I am learning now as an adult how important my voice is, and that I shouldn't make myself small out of fear. What you are doing with your writing and these videos is art and it speaks to the world. I'm so glad I found your channel. You have something special.

Another absolutely stunning video as always! I honestly wish I could’ve heard some of these words back when I was 14.
