- Опубліковано 8 лют 2025
- This 10 November marks the 244th year of the United States Marine Corps and is the day all who have earned the Eagle, Globe and Anchor hear the words, “Happy Birthday, Marine.” This 244th year is also the first to introduce a brand new birthday running cadence, born from Marines-brought forth to all Marines, to celebrate the proud lineage and bond to which all who have ever formed our ranks belong.

About the United States Marine Corps:
The Marine Corps defends the people of the United States at home and abroad. Within every Marine is the willingness to engage and determination to defeat any adversary, and it is this fighting spirit that allows us to fight and win our Nation’s battles.
The mission of the United States Marine Corps is made up of three promises: We make Marines, we win our Nation’s battles, and we develop quality citizens prepared to fight and win battles.
You don’t join the Marines-you become one, forged in the crucible of training aboard our recruit depots on Parris Island, South Carolina, and in San Diego, California, or through the dedication required of officer candidates at Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. Beyond the physical requirements, aspiring Marines must prove they have the honor, courage, and commitment to face and defeat any obstacle.
Today, more than 180,000 enlisted Marines and 23,000 Marine Officers serve in active duty or reserve forces on bases and in communities around the world, proudly carrying with them the core values of the Marine Corps.

I will never forget those stainless steel doors on Parris Island... or the smell of tear gas! Happy birthday Marines!
Lol Amen
@@owenmullen61 There used to be a foundry right next to the highway that I took to go to work. The smell that came out of there smelled EXACTLY like tear gas. I would get a shiver down my spine every time I drove past.
just boot thing lmao
Chris P thank you for your service
@@Dave-yb3ng Not even boot... but ok
I'm not a Marine or even ex US military but just having served i feel the pride, it's something special. Respect from a former Canadian soldier.
DJSbros - Thanks. And thank you for standing your watch for Your country, as well.
🇺🇸🇨🇦
You Canadian soldier guys are good to go,
You stood up for what u believe...so bubba your alot alike us...America just already has that alpha mentality then u take an 18 yr old and throw them in boot camp and like putting water on a gremlin u got a devil dog
And respect from an American Air Force Airman and Army soldier.
The Marine that yells out "he said!" Was one of my Drill Instructors, SSgt Kumah. One of the most intimidating and outstanding men I know
His name sounds Ghanaian though..
@@brightkumado-apodei1648 Not really sure where he's from honestly. He had a great accent though, none of us could place it but it definitely sounded African or Caribbean. Wish I could have asked him some questions but he transferred to some other billet a few weeks before graduation.
He's from Jamaica. Hes in Aviation and he was MY knowledge hat for 3037 back in Feburary. He was the guy IT'ing the FUCK outta me in the morning. He did ALOT of spitting in your face and getting into your grill. He was my favorite DI tho, and he you could tell he cared for the corps just by the way he taught us. I wanted HIM to give me my EGA so bad. And he actually did, and for the first time i seen him smile and it was the greatest feeling :) suuuuuper cool guy after we literally became Marines.

I’m in the army but I love the brotherhood of the marine corps
@@USMC-Veteran73-77 my grandfather was a .30 cal gunner on pork chop hill. But we don't forget the frozen chosin
Nuclear_King if only you knew how toxic people were and are fake to each other during celebrations
@@Slyfer yeah well there's nothing fake about the marines that fought at Guadalcanal, iwo jima, in Korea, hue city.....nothing fake about those men at all.
Nuclear_King But Army guys dont end up homeless.
@@USMC-Veteran73-77 yeah grandfather came back and gave all his guns away to his buddies and drove a beer truck for utica club for 40 years, was an alcoholic but went to church every Sunday...never talked about the war but one night when my dad first started dating my mother his car broke down and it was pouring rain so he was waiting on the porch for a ride... He said my grandpa was drunk and out of nowhere started telling him that he was carrying the browning .30 cal up the hill and his assistant gunner carrying the tripod and ammo got blown to smithereens right in front of him and he jumped in a shell hole and prayed to god that if he made it back home alive he'd go to church every Sunday and he kept that promise until he passed away in 2016...i remember when I was a dumb kid I'd ask if he'd ever killed anyone and all he'd say was I shot at them.... Very sad indeed :(
Navy Guy here, I've always loved the marine spirit and brotherhood, but most of all we all share that common trait of proudly serving our country! Happy birthday Marine Corp!
Marine Corps, even i know that and I'm doing Army Sniper&11B
Happy Birthday, Marine Corps and for my Dad, a USMC Vietnam Veteran, who passed away a year ago...Semper Fi. #marinesareforever
My Condolences to you and your family. Thank you for sharing that your Father was a Vietnam Vet . I stand in salute to his memory for serving our country.🌿🇺🇸🌿🌹🌿🇺🇸
Your father did not pass away. Just like my dad. He reported to a new command. Semper Fi
@@WilliamPickett75 I agree. My father past away 43 years ago. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. He is now guarding the gates of Heaven with the rest of his brothers. Thank you for your father's service. Semper Fi
I didn’t even see these replies. I came back here because I was listening to cadence and I loved this one so I listened again. Thank you so much for everyone’s thoughts and comments. My Dad was a proud Marine. I miss him all the time and I listened to this on the actual Marine Corps birthday because I remember crying over it. It was a month before I met my current husband. We got pregnant in February of 2020 and we had our baby on 11/11/20! I thought she was going to come on the 10th, the Marine Corps birthday but she came on Veterans Day instead and I felt so grateful believing my Dad had a hand in that. I laid there crying, remembering him not knowing I’d have a baby on Veterans Day a year later. I’m so grateful to that old Devil Dog. Thank you, Dad and to all of the Marines who have served and continue to serve this great nation. Semper Fi!

From an Air Force SP . OOH RAHHH. THANKS MARINES!
How could you not be motivated after watching that video. Even at 50 years old and being out almost 20 years I felt like flying over to Charleston or Savannah, renting a car...(one way) and finding the first DI I could and ask to be trained.
I'm an old Doggie and this givese chills.
Gotta love THE MARINE CORPS!
HOT DAMN...WHAT A MUTHAFUCKIN' START TO MY DAY!!!! OOHmuthaFUCKIN'RAH!
This isn’t on the birthday. But to all marines reading this. OOHRAH! You were the .0001% of the WORLD who has the determination, grit, and pure discipline to see anything through. Anything. OOHRAH!
Happy Birthday brothers and sisters. Where ever you are. Semper Fi
Absolutely amazing. True sound of feet hitting the deck in cadence and rhythm not some sound studio. The video montage added authenticity and gave the viewers a feel for what the Marines do and how versatile we really are. For about ten days now I have been using this video as a go to sleep song but in a good way. Takes me back down memory lane and can almost feel my self at Parris Island..
Happy Birthday and Happy Thanksgiving to all Marines and all military. As the cadence goes.....near and far...Happy Birthday where ever you are”. Semper Fi. I have been passing this video around at work to my fellow workers especially the Marine Veterans.

I been preparing my self since 2017 for this hopefully I can join this coming year 2020 I’m ready
Do a LOT of running. You are going to need stamina most of all. Get yourself up to 5 miles a day. And get ready for more stress than you have ever experienced in your entire life.
Lol
You ain’t ready lol
Just don’t go in there with a high and tight. If you do, you’re just looking for trouble. You ain’t a Marine yet.
Join up man. Im in the DEP right now shipping out to Parris Island Jan 13th 2020. The best thing to get you ready is to enlist and get into the delayed entry program. Your recruiters will help you get prepared.
It’s that time of the year

I must have bought the same kind of onions.
Excuse my tears, had a faulty mask while in the gas chamber watching this.

Can I use cutting a onion?
Enlisting when I’m 18, Happy Birthday Marines.
Did you make it?
Whenever this is played, R. Lee Ermey smiles down on America.
Watching this video six months later and still brings a tear to my eye. The montage of fleet life as well as training and showing there is WAY MORE to the Marine Corps than infantry even though that is the backbone and heart but other parts are no less flesh and blood or as important......Over 21 years later and I could still pick out the yellow footprints at Parris Island like it was yesterday!
From former USAF, a belated Happy 244th Birthday and much respect, Marines.
Yellow bird
Damn this is motivated af
Thank you so much for showing me what freedom really means
I'm Italian, I've never been in the military (but I'm a military brat). Thanks for this song, it kept me motivated and active after I haven't been confirmed on my job

Sgt Bolden is the kind of DI would have you laughing on the quaterdeck while he fucks you up. Or you'd be standing not pay attention, and feel his hand go right into the sleeves that you forgot to roll that day, and he'd just point to the quarterdeck. lmao
