Elvis regresa al Madison Square Garden de Nueva York en Junio del 72 donde no actuaba desde los 50 y salio por la puerta grande.Un Elvis glorioso que no escatima en esfuerzo vocal y deja patente que sigue siendo el mas grande a todos los niveles.
Pone todo su sentimiento en esta canción con la que en parte se sentía identificado.
La canción es excepcional en contenido y música;eso unido a la voz de Elvis la convierten en una joya.
Por algo seria cuando fue elegida como banda sonora de la película,"El hombre de la Mancha".GOD SAVE THE KING
