Intimidator 305 is more intense than Twisted Timbers but NOT as fun. Plus, I can no longer ride the the Intimidator 305 due blacking out of the first bank to the right. I was fine for 10 years until 2022. Interesting you brought up heat. Can you provide a source that explains that a bit? The only thing that I absolutely love about the 305 is the height and angle of the first drop. I heard the volcano(empty lot) is getting replaced in 2025. LASTLY, don't dis the "Scooby Doo" Woodstock Express. It is a minni "Rebel Yell" and happens to be the very first coaster I ever road back in 1978. There is a reason that thing is still here. :) Great vid.
Totally don't blame you, I actually blacked out on it AGAIN recently but even worse this time. The rides def not for everyone. I think the best explanation I have for heat inducing blackouts is that 1) roller coasters tend to run faster in higher heat causing the grease in the wheels to be slicker I think? (That's just a guess). But either way, coasters run faster/better in the heat and 2) if you're dehydrated from the heat you'll def black out haha. I have also heard the same about that Volcano plot. 2025 is the park's 50th anniversary so hopefully they go big. And yeah I like woodstock express's layout, I'm just too big for the train. For some reason I love flight of fear way more than the average person and enjoy it a lot, I love the launch and the dark and just the general atmosphere of it. I also dont really care for dominator because I just dont like floorless coasters, they are intense but they all feel the same to me and I just dont care for them.
I’ve been on every coaster here except for Backlot Stunt Coaster, but when I rode Grizzly, the first half was so smooth. However they did not retrack the second half, so the second half beat the crap out of me. It’s a good ride now, but it would be better if they finished the job they started.
Agreed! Yeah I went back this summer and they def should've retracked all of grizzly bc the difference is noticeable. Also finally got a chance to ride the other side of racer too!

Was just there a couple weeks ago. Love KD. Just a few things Flight of Fear was built during the Paramount years and themed to Outer Limits when it opened. I wondered why you had Apple Zapple so low until you mentioned being over 6' yeah I could see that being an issue. Dominator looks odd not being over a lake since they didn't really modify the queue from Geauga Lake. I flip the top 2 only slightly, Timbers air is just that damn good. But I do love the parts on I305 that they learned from Maverick how to do quick side to side transitions. I305's are so much better than Mavericks

And yeah apple zapple just wasn't it for me haha. Good comparison to Maverick, another one of my favorites, and totally respect timbers as #1 in the park, it's very close for me as well!
You could also go to Carowinds (though intimidator isn’t newel6 as good in terms of theming and probably ride experience (haven’t been on the one at carowinds so take my word with a grain of salt)
It depends on your height, Dominator has a 54" height requirement and Timbers has a 48" requirement. Timbers is definitely more aggressive than Dominator but more fun IMO. Based on height requirements, younger kids can ride Timbers but have to wait till they're above 54" to ride Dominator. So maybe like 10 years old? I don't have kids so I'm not the best person to ask haha.

I hated grizzly and was absolutely terrified. But it is something you should ride as a first big coaster and something to somewhat overcome your fear of roller coasters and hights
Please fix the title 😁. First time seeing one of your videos and it was great! I’m grateful that BG and KD are my home parks (only live a couple hours away), been to both a LOT. Personally prefer BG over KD but going to have to go this summer so I can add tumbili and twisted Timbers to my log.

FYI RE: south side Racer 75... They open it when the line gets to long which is cool because they time the start of the coasters to race each other. Spoiler*** YOU road the slightly faster side. The North ALWAYS wins by almost a full length of the coaster.
Haha nice! Good to know. And I actually returned to KD a couple weeks ago and they were FINALLY running both sides even when the park wasn't busy. So now I have ridden both sides, and I think you're right.
I actually really like the Grizzly, I think the roughness makes it more fun and intense. Grizzly was also the first roller coaster I ever rode so it holds a special place in my heart
It was fun when one side of Rebel Yell faced forward and the other side went backwards.

Idk if they slowed the lift hill down, but if the speed remains the same, you will be at the top in only 20-30 seconds
The first half of Grizzly was well done and improved the ride experience greatly, but the second half is still as painful as ever lol

Anaconda is best ridden in the front seat. It's a great ride. Everywhere else on the train is meh.
I don't think I've had the pleasure of sitting in the front so I'll have to try it out.
Twisted Timbers makes my shins feel like they are going to snap. It's not for tall people at all.

Dominator will always be my favorite floorless. Rode it as Batman back in the day and I blame it for getting me hooked.
