Well done Mark. It galloped on a bit more than when I last watched it. I think you used some decent gauge steel. Plug welding is the safest and I seal over it some state using seam sealer and clamp/weld. But you have achieved what you set out to do, it runs and it’s safe. I must get one of those bleeders- more convents the easy bleed I had that needs a old tyre air supply.

@@CoatsandGaiters That Focus, with a few hours and a tin of black hammerite and wire brush will do someone a good turn. Remember, my Mini was only £400 and over 2 years later, its still my daily run around...although i probably only drive once a week, prefering th bicycle , for sheer cost and convenience!
@@patrickjmorgan I’m planning to keep it for myself Patrick as a way of cutting costs and then aim to probably try and get a diesel mini again with that £20 road tax. This focus is still £240 a year tax I think.

Hi Mark great job 😉 loved watching that press machine working. I have a question though I always thought the outer sills were not structural but the inner sills were🤔. I have just been removing the rust on the rear and the front of the outer sill on my ford c max 2008 .
I found that the front of the sill under car is pretty rusty at parts but I was thinking it would be ok for mot as it's the outer sill ?
Thank you Alexander. Sadly the outer sill is structural I believe as every time I had had a small hole it failed an MOT and needed welding. I think my Fiesta had a small inch square hole and it was immediately failed. You can hide it like many do with fibreglass and filler but if the MOT guy clocks it he will probably fail it.
