@@cbigclarke A warning ticket is better than a “Ticket” - I have an excellent “explanation” for no front plate in case I get stopped- Of course I can’t divulge it here 😁
Texas DPS Troopers will most definitely get you for no front plate, a minimum 25% tint on driver & pass side & any Plate Cover, I had my plate on my dash, visible & I still got stopped. I've grown up in TX South of Houston. In the 90s, I was in LE & I rode with TX DPS DWI task force. They target trucks, especially older models, hot rod loud mustangs, chargers, etc. They also park & hide out across from anywhere alcohol is sold like a dance halls or bars. The minimum they give out is a warning paper ticket so that you are now in the LE System Computers. They have a mandatory pull over if your doing 5% over the posted speed limit. They don't play around.
I'm a retired state trooper and I totally agree with you about the requirement to have a front license plate. States with a front plate requirement could save a ton of money if they only required one plate. Most cars today look awful with a front plate on the car. I have a BMW M4 and when I watch videos from Europe. They require those huge ugly black and white license plate on the front of the car and it just ruins the looks of the car.
It makes perfect sense if you think about it. On the internet, those that wish to harm you only need your license plate to find where you live. The people around you don’t care about your plate because if they really wanted to, they could just follow you home.

Wow California must not have any problems if they have the time to give you a ticket for no front plate. ;)
Running over 3 years in NJ with no front plate lol
Only thing is the license plate will be so dirty that it won’t be seen..so when you wash the car don’t forget the plate
