May I ask how you are so careful with the thin metal ruler & the cutter to NOT accidentally cut yourself??? My husband has cut himself pretty badly & almost did but lifted my hand in time. I see you often do it so fast, clean, but never get cut? We are a clumsy household hoping for your tips master. Trulylve your channel & work. You should be charging what high designers do. But then you wouldn't be you 🫶😊
Two things, anticipate where the blade is going and use sharp blades. Sharp blades slide and do not need to be forces. Use a new blade everytime you start a project. I buy the bulk ones from amazon/China at 100 blades for 10 bucks. Don't feel bad about throwing them away and using new. Anticipate. Do not place anything you do not cut on the business side of the blade. Always cut away. Don't force it, get a new blade. A new blade doesn't need excessive force. When you are pushing too hard for 'one pass cuts' when it finally breaks through, your blade will go away from you quickly and uncontrollably. Take multiple passes instead of just the one to avoid this. Use a straight edge to cover the part you want to keep, that way if you push too hard (dont push too hard) and your thin blade bends, it won't be inclined to slip away and go into the part you want to keep. Cut away from you. Look up "boy scouts blood circle" for more about how to properly use sharp things
