This should include Tabernacle Of Joy in Singapore. Since the UPCI is not allowed in Singapore, TABJOY is only affiliated under the umbrella of the UPCI. All it's ministers are credentialed through the UPCI/PI, or the UPCI Philippines.
Why doesn't Singapore allow UPCI? any specific reason?
Singaporean government… so instead of being listed as UPCI they are listed as Apostolic.
I’m not sure by the by-laws etc. however I do have a question. I am surrounded by UPCI churches . one of these churches I visited . as a lady, I knew Pentecostal ladies only wore dresses and skirts however, when I went to the church, I was the only one with a skirt on.
Then we went to another and they looked Pentecostal at church but same thing .. there was no outward appearance of Holiness These churches say they are UPCI ( it’s on their sign) but they don’t look it.
How is this not confusing to new members?
Yep! It’s very confusing
Thank you for explaining the differences in affiliation
Hi brother Bernard, could you talk about the subject of adopting a child. What does the bible says about this?
Galatians 4 speaks of how we are adopted. The Bible is pro-adoption.

I believe in Jesus. He’s the only way. ☺️

It still sounds like the people don’t get to truly choose because you’re having all these meetings and everybody else is deciding and choosing except for the people
The church members are the ones voting in the meetings Dr. Bernard referenced. - Podcast Production Team
Excellent presentation
Listening.
Very good 🙏🏼
What are some of the reasons people don’t get affiliated? It would be interesting to know that.
politics
Yea, And AMEN! 💯👍🎇🔥
So when it really comes down to the root of it, it is about the property in the building and money
We're not sure what you're talking about. You must have misunderstood what Dr. Bernard said. - Podcast Production Team
Why are you triggered? He is not wrong
There is no other reason to be affiliated to UPCI than administration
Please reply,
How can congregants get a copy of the UPCI’s Church constitution, articles of faith & Bylaws ?
If you do a Google search for UPCI Manual, you will find some older copies. They do not sell it to non-licensed people. If you are looking for a local church, you'd have to contact them directly.
If the local church is in control that gives pastors too much power, and they lord the heritage of God this is happening a lot
I believe you are mistaken. A LOCAL CHURCH in this discussion, is The Local Body of Elders, laypeople voting in pastoral leadership, & dealing with church discipline With, the pastor & board.
living in today's America we are extremely independent minded, however each & every person has the FREEDOM to visit , Attended, & join the fellowship of their choosing.
It is both a privilege & can be problematic as some will simply go church to church picking ,& choosing a place that fits THEIR beliefs, rather than humbling & submitting & supporting a fellowship that seeks to follow as close as possible, healthy , Christ centered , scriptural sound, Apostolic discipleship.
@@richardburton-777 I had been part of a church that was independent it was PCI, but the PI did not own the building or the property. They were under the banner of the apostolic faith in the United Pentecostal church international. But it is very much governed by the pastor what he wants to do, and how he wants to do it.They often grab a hold of the richest people in the church and they’re the ones that run the church. Very bad experience with this. That was the reason I believe that a pastor can have too much power.
I’ve seen pastors bully the congregation in their own church to ‘vote’ the pastors will or ‘they must not have heard from God’. It’s shameful and must grieve God. 😢
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Could please explain the passage 1 Peter 3:19-20 and 1 Pete 4:6
Thank you and God bless you as you serve the Lord
I will never go to a UPCI church ever again. Most of those churches focus on the organization than what written in scripture. I don't need a "license" just to be a minister. I am happy that I go to an independent church that preaches holiness and the word of God
Have you been to most of the churches. I mean most of 45000 is a lot to attend.🤷🏽♂️
@@revamp6612 No, the only real issue I have with the UPCI is that they water down holiness and allow beards and rings on the platform. the most liberal church in the AP that I have been in
@@blakeheisman8198whats wrong with beards?
@@blakeheisman8198 that's a broad generalization. Sure, the organization at large might allow it but certainly not most local churches
The main comment here is so common, such foolishness & unnecessary, in 2025 America one is totally Free of course to visit, attend & fellowship in any " church fellowship" they desire their is far to much slander & criticism of this organization. They do a lot of good, if you don't agree with them simply go somewhere where you will be happy ,,& can support Godly, scripturally sound Christ centered doctrine & teaching. Have the JOY of The Holy Ghost. & Help share the gospel of Jesus Christ. ♥️🙏
Has one or the other weighed heavier on the UPCI meaning, has one Avenue of this cost them (UPCI) more money than the other? And is there a preference? To be hierarchy, affiliated, or to be independent?
There is no charge for church affiliation. - Podcast Production Team
Great video! Wasn't expecting bits in the comments lol
Thank you for the feedback. - Podcast Production Team
So it’s a financial cap top and bottom, meaning it boils down the money. Meaning men pay more than one tithe? Where is that in the Bible?
What?
Does affiliated mean that the church receives money from the UPCI by definition?
No. Affiliated churches do not receive money from the UPCI, nor are they required to send money to the UPCI. - Podcast Production Team
Clarify the second one you talked about where they help and you emphasize help make the decision who makes the decision? Be very clear because it sounds like they can help but if we don’t like that, we’re gonna override it. Do they make the decision or not?
We are not sure what you are referring to. The UPCI cannot override the decisions of a local church. - Podcast Production Team
@@DavidKBernardUPCI referring to voting if the body votes for something they don’t like do they override it? Meaning the UPCI organization?
@@sherigoodremont3823 No, the UPCI cannot override the decisions of a local church. Dr. Bernard made that clear in his response. - Podcast Production Team
Why did Victor Jackson leave the UPCI!! I heard there’s some issues with racism within the organization. Not exactly sure if it’s true or not. But Victor Jackson is no longer apart of the Upci anymore.
Not racism, he just let his ego get to him. Plenty of different ethnicities in upci and in leadership!

This is no platform to speak negatively about another brother or sister. In fact, the words we speak are to edify one another in the church body. Please be mindful that words do hurt and at the end of the day we are responsible for every single one spoken from our lips.
Racism and favoritism to those who have money,
After you step away for a few years and observe how the pastoral gets passed down from son to grandson or even son-in-law it just blows you away. Can't let let that money leg get away from the family.
100%
That’s what causes splits in churches
The only issue I have with UPCI is that they allow their churches to get too big. Church you should never exceed more than 200 to 300 people. Once the church gets to be that size the leadership should reach out and start new churches in the area rather than one big church where unity in the church becomes non-existent because very few people know each other.
That's an opinion, one I do agree with to some degree .
That is the self-governing they’re not really self-governing
All UPCI churches are self-governing. The UPCI does not have the infrastructure or resources to govern each of our member congregations. - Podcast Production Team
@@DavidKBernardUPCI i’m sorry I thought that he said that there are some churches that they do do that? He spoke of three different groups under the UPCI.
