Wow.. I thought I was dreaming about the more hair fall and a comb. I used the Denman and wet brush which was definitely less. Thank you!
My turbie twists were getting too small due to my long hair, so I made one myself, using a sports microfiber bathtowel. It's a neat hack. You fold it in half lengthwise, sew one end shut, and tadaa, there's your turbie. I just fasten it with a claw clip down my neck, and it works, and it is so light on the head!

I stopped detangling with a wide-tooth comb when the wet brush came out. I use dupes of it, but they work just as great and they are amazing (they were €1-€1.49 at my local "Action" store / Belgium). My comb used to rip at my hair, the brush glides right through and yes: less shedding!

Just patience and keep the scissors at bay. I only trimmed once or twice a year when I was still actively growing. My hair is over the bum length now (called classic length). I trim monthly now to "maintain" my style, but if you are growing you don't want to be trimming your growth off. Hair only grows 6 inches a year, so you very quickly lose that if you visit the salon frequently!

I have all those things. I ran out of the curl cream but I'll be buying it again. I agree they are must haves. I just bought a bonnet but I've had a silk pillowcase for about 3 years now. I started using invisibobbles and I really like them too. Plus I have to have amla oil because I use henna on my hair and it's been loosening my curls. The amla oil helps!
Omg YES absolutely love amla oil!! I’ve only tried Henna once but my mom is a big fan of that as well
