what genre is this???? i just got into this with other artist like mass of the fermenting dregs, my dead girlfriend, and lamp. can someone please tell me the name of the genre and some recommendations?
Honestly this is more dream pop than it is shoegaze. If you look up shoegaze you’re gonna find stuff like my bloody Valentine and slow dive and that’s probably not what you’re looking for… this has shoegaze elements but this is a really specific blend of dream pop and shoegaze and stuff that has been really growing over the last decade. Look up the album Saturday’s = youth by M83, specifically that album. The album Peripheral vision by Turnover maybe. And the album Nocturne by Wild Nothing. But uchu nekoko is really unique.

I mix 2 universe nekoko albums with some LSC (lovely song collection by lovely summer chan) songs, soutaiseiriron songs. The problem is their song are so high energy compare to universe nekoko so it hardly fit 100% (you got jumpscare from changing song) but it works
