Kinneil House is a delight of Scottish architecture and a rare historical gem.
Absolutely. Definitely need to get back there for a look inside/
G’day from Australia. I was born in Edinburgh and came to Australia as a teenager with my parents in 1961. I fondly remember the ferries which provided transport between North & South Queensferry - scenes of the three bridges are very artistic. Dad was the organist at Grangemouth parish church, and some times drove through Bo’ness. His father also owner the bakery at Elie. The family house is now a hotel. As a child I was always intrigued by the flames from the petroleum refinery - I suppose they were burning off impurities or waste gas. I will be interested to see we’re you take me - perhaps on a trip of nostalgia.
George hope we can show you some familiar scenes- thanks for your interesting comments.

Me too. Loved the word of the day, but at first I thought you weren't going to tell us how to pronounce it!😉But you did. It was a beautifully fitting word for the weather! I'll get a lot of use out of it too, we get a lot of dreich days around here! Wishing you all success with your channel.👍🤞
Here watching the first video. From Kentucky in the states. My dream vacation is going to Scotland.

You’re welcome.
I look forward to watch more of your videos. For my summer vacation I hope to drive up all the way from Germany.
Hi. We did it in the opposite direction last September. Scotland to Koblenz then down to Rudesheim before heading home. So many amazing castles!!!
We watched few of your first videos today. We looked you up when you helped Willie and Sarah with their electrical work.
We’ll have to revisit some of those places we went originally, now that we’ve got a slightly better idea what we’re doing.
Great video! Came here from Skye Life, and glad I did! I especially loved the "word of the day" feature, and the great history. I hope this channel grows beyond all expectations!
Thank you!! It's already gone beyond anything we could have hoped for after only a few weeks.
Hi there. What a good idea for a channel, " Cost effective Scotland " The husband and I are retired and our sons all grown up, but for a lot of families things must be very difficult at this time, so we'll done you.
Just a note, when we had our dog that went everywhere with us, we found it hard sometimes to find places that would allow dogs, even some beaches. With that in mind it might be a good idea to add that. Sorry if you already do. Cheers to you both / all Millysue
Hiya. That’s a really good idea about dog friendly places!! We’ll definitely add that in future.

Was nice to meet you over at the Skye Life 🙂 So far I’ve only made one brief trip to Scotland, I visited Stirling and the university. I’d really love to go back there one day.
Stirling is beautiful. We're heading back there soon for a more detailed look.
@@scotlandonashoestring I look forward to your video. I wish I had known when I visited that Stirling Castle was associated with the regiment my paternal grandfather fought with, it’s another reason why I would love to visit the area again someday.
on a nice day, past the pertochemical works, you would have a nice view of the Ochils.
We'll be exploring a bit further along the coast soon, lots to see there.
Nice get plenty of dreich days in Skye 😂👌
