Well David and Pete both said he wouldn't return to Morbid Angel because Pete being a reborn christian conflicted with what Morbid Angel were about... I guess Pete either got over it or money was too good. Pete did that last Terrorizer album after leaving MA, so his back must have gotten better.
@@Gregbaltzer I only read David say that. I don't recall Pete ever stating any conflict with playing with MA. With that said, playing MA on drums is a whole another level than playing Terrorizer. I didn't know he could do a full set like this, but he can!

You know what FUCK u. I, a guitarist myself, who love trey s talent and acomplishments with morbid angel, i can take this band for what they are with David, and more importantly with Pete over the new line up the real band has. Pete is that crucial when it comes to morbid angel s music all the way. I love Steve Tucker, i fucking love trey, but as far as talent on the death metal guitar craft realm, all i can say is: he's no god damned Shaune Kelley. I started listening death metal with morbid angel and possessed, but when i found Ripping Corpse, trey got outplayed in his realm. This i am morbid line up, although they oughta play the riffs more accurately, is a gig worth the price of admission since Pete s playing on. Much more the real thing than Trey s thing, if i wanna see trey i go see him with Tucker and co. If i wanna see morbid angel tunes in this day and age for the thrill, this band is the gig. The set list is nuts. Much better death metal gig than the morbid angel one. And a credit for David, his band Vltimas made some awesome music. If Trey s morbid angel were touring some heretic tunes and more dangerous formulas tunes i d go see them without thinking a second about it. But no, the last album isnt that good. History sucks, no matter how manny effort trey put thru the years, his work and legend is undeniable, but his present is upstaged by this gig if u ask me.
I'd go the other way and say without Dave and Pete there is no Morbid Angel. Not being mean but Trey is an utter wreck at the moment. I'd much rather see this side of things.
WTF. There is no reason Trey shouldn’t be up on that stage with Pete and David. Pete owns these songs. This shit just breaks my heart. These guys are sounding great…
The reason is just because Pete turned into christianity. I agree with Trey, Morbid Angel was really another concept. Pete is a great drummer but he's fool for himself. He ought to look for a christian band instead.
He must have lost his religion eh? He is still awesome though. Seen some footage of him playing with terrorizer that was pretty awesome. It was footage that was not very old.
