Tihota is definitely one of my favorite vanillas is all time, along with Vaniglia by Mazzolari, Vanille Absolu by Montale and Vaniglia Del Madagascar by PdF. I’m always constantly exploring for new vanillas (and caramels)...Nothing beats Tihota though, the best vanilla scent ever made! Thanks!

Loved the review as always! The fact that Francis Kurkdjian is the nose behind this fragrance really has me intrigued. My current favorite vanilla fragrance is probably TF Tobacco Vanille, but I have a feeling I really need Indult now 😂
What I liked about this review is that you both described this perfume as a TRUE vanilla, which is what I am looking for! Tihota sounds great to me because it sounds like it will make my search for my favorite vanilla come to an end ! My favorite vanilla fragrance that I own is a discontinued Vanilla Oil from The Body Shop (they re-made it but it isn't the same).
I am obsessed with vanilla fragrances, and I found it really interesting to hear your comparison of Tihota and SDV. Besides Tihota, I would say Vanille West Indies is also up there with my favorite vanillas that I have sampled. Would love to have a full bottle of Tihota! Thanks for the review!
I truly love all the subtle little notes that stand back to the pure and delicate vanilla. When I tested it I loved the little smokey burnt note, like scraping the burnt parts off a pan of crème brûlée. Just heavenly.
Okay now for my entry. What I liked about his review is of course hearing A guys perspective female fragrances. If I must be honest, that is about 80% of the reason that I subscribed LOL. I also liked the mentions of other notable vanilla scents that are often recommended when speaking of Tihota. I would say believe it or not my favorite vanilla is Jessica Simpson‘s Fancy. LOL not the most expensive, not a niche fragrance, but it gives me exactly what I look for in a winter vanilla. Which is a vanilla that packs a sillage and some powder.
Ashley was an excellent, excellent addition to the video. And it doesn’t get more convincing than you both placing it as the best vanilla of all-time. Currently, my favorite vanilla is Perry Ellis Black Vanilla. (Commenting from FL, USA)
This is my favorite vanilla frag as well! I've been on a vanilla hunt for ten years now, way before I started getting into niche. When I got a sample of this, I knew it was the vanilla I've been looking for. I've sniffed a good amount of really nice variations of vanilla, but this was the penultimate. Best vanilla, hands down. Great review Sebastian! I'm a nut for any fragrance with vanilla in it and especially cooking type vanillas! My current favorite I own is Un Bois Vanille, but this one sounds insanely good! Cooking vanilla brings back great memories of my Mom and Grandma baking in the kitchen together. They both passed away back in the early 90's when I was young, so stuff like this holds a special place in my heart! ❤️
What I liked about this review is Ashley's passion for Tihota and for perfume. Tihota sounds great because of its apparent trueness to cooking vanilla. My current favorite vanilla perfume is basic -- Black Opium Nut Blanche.
I think there are 2 real vanilla dominant perfume I really like. They are LOVANN by Santi Burgas and Havana Vanille by L'Artisan Parfumeur, also intriguing and little weird is Dead Sexy by Tokyo Milk Parfumerie Curiosite, but I like it as well ;-) Great review and as always the description of the smell of the scent is great. I loved that you guys described this Tihota as a true Vanilla fragrance, just Vanilla and Musk! I have been looking for a true vanilla fragrance, because I am always put off by some vanilla fragrances that tend to smell synthetic and if this one smells like something you can bake with, and true pure vanilla, this may be the fragrance I need to try! I do not have a favorite vanilla fragrance yet. I live in the USA!
I’ve never really utilized a vanilla frags as I’m fairly new. There have been a few frags like jazz club that to me have a hint of vanilla though. Also, I think using this as a layer with a good deep Boozy scent would be awesome to! I’m still learning here, love that you do these educational for us non aficionados! :)

This was a revelation on vanilla...always thought vanilla brought me back to my childhood and is very calming good to wear before bed. Pure vanilla scents are hard to come by without being mixed with other conflicting notes...and by the genius creator MFK. WOW. Shalimar is classic for me....USA citizen
If connoisseur like you , and future perfumer are both really impressed by certain fragrance, no doubt this fragrance should be a winner. Musky vanilla, sprinkled with chocolate, rich and deep smelling. Tihota checks all the boxes. Hypnotic Poison Dior is one to the best vanilla fragrances out there , but lately I’m obsessed with Vanille Fatale Tom Ford. Smells so so good I sold my 50ml bottle, and bought 250ml decanter. I have been a huge lover of Farmacia SS Annunziata's Vaniglia del Madagascar for almost ten years because of its natural, warm, long lasting, sink into the skin pure vanilla with just a tiny hint of something more but just discovered it's been discontinued 😥 This will be the first replacement I'm about to try. I'ts easier for me to say what I didn't like about this review... I mean... Come on... Vanilla with bozzy and creamy, musky nuances?... Please send it in my way haha. I LOVED everything about this review... From the fragrance drydown description to the individuals interpretation. That definitely got my attention and made Tihota sound just delightful to me. I'm a vanilla lover, so it's really hard for me to pick one favorite, but at this moment the best one I've been using so far is Angélique Noire, by Guerlain. I liked the soft focus of the video. Ashley knows her stuff. I have a bottle of reve en cuir from Indult, a beautifully crafted gourmandic leather, but I haven’t tried anything else in the line. My favorite vanilla fragrance is a dry chypre from L’Occitane called Eau de Baux. Great price, and fun to wear when traveling!

Hands down I loved every detail on this review. For one I'm really not familiar with this house. But I certainty do love the vanilla note. I was even more intrigued that it also has a chocolate/cocoa vibe to it. Kinda sounds like a gourmand which I absolutely love. My current fav vanilla scent at the moment is PDM Layton. What I like about this video: you make it very clear that Tihota is the greatest Vanilla of all time (no beating about the bush), plus Ashley. What makes Tihota so great: it is simple (vanilla plus musk) but nothing compares to its delicious smoky sweetness and purity. The dry down of Dulcis in Fundo (Profumum) I have found is the closest in its smoky vanilla sweetness, although Dulcis starts out citrus. Vaniglia del Madagascar (i Profumi di Firenze) is just a straightforward vanilla without the musk that makes Tihota complex. TIHOTA is not only my favorite vanilla of all time but my favorite scent of all time. I have been living off Lucky Scent samples and Ebay decants over the last three years because it is so expensive. I would love to win a bottle! Sebastian thank you for this video as well as the Animalic one with Dahlia, where Charlatan was number one (Charlatan may be my number 2 favorite). Both videos spot on!

Great to see Ashley again! Years ago C.O. Bigelow Elixir Black was my signature scent. I like its Vanilla note and would get a lot of compliments when I wore it. I don't currently have a favorite vanilla fragrance. I own PDM Layton, but I haven't been wearing it.

Great review guys. I love vanilla but till now I feel that I haven't found "The One", so I'm really excited to try this one. Currently, Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee is growing on me and I think it's my favourite. I liked that you typed the other fragrances you mentioned in the video, great job.
But SDV comes off so divine on my skin!!! It's been my fav ever since I dropped Eau Duelle and thanks to that strong rum. Mmmmmm - hard to find a vanilla that tops it IMO; but if Ashley's right.... definitely gotta try this one. Totally agree that Un Bois Vanille smells syrupy btw - almost beeswaxy to my nose - which is a bit of a turn off. Really wish FK would include a vanilla in the Collection des Essences for Elie Saab, as the Amber is freakin' amazing. Loved seeing Ashley again. Her insight is always warranted! NC
What I love about this review is that you two were able to describe it so well that in my head I was able to imagine how it really smelled. This is really hard to do. Being able to describe a smell is a talent and you both have it. I love how passionate both of you are about the fragrances and I can feel genuine love for them. That is why I think this channel gives good quality reviews and is the first place I check if I am interested about a fragrance. One of my favorite vanilla fragrances is Eau Duelle from Diptyque. Indult Tihota sounds like the best Vanilla fragrance in the world hands down based on how you guys describe it. A sweet, creamy, and boozy Vanilla with great projection and longevity. My Vanilla experience unfortunately is limited to designer fragrances, so I will say it is Jean Paul Gautier Ultra Male. I didn't know Francis Kurkdijian created Tihota or the other fragrances you mentioned prior to his fragrance brand. I haven't tried Indult Tihota or anything from Indult. I am from the USA. There is a word for something "representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class." That word is: "quintessential". It is a term that should not be bandied about, but if you are sufficiently informed -- and I suspect you both probably qualify -- by all means, use it. I loved at the beginning after your intro when Ashley couldn't wait any longer to get started and just clapped her hands, smiled and said Okay... as if to say enough already let's get going. I am intrigued how two simple notes can be put together to create such an amazing creation. I am a fan of PDM Layton and I recently discovered Commodity Gold but am interested in trying more vanilla scents.

I love Ashley's great enthusiasm for this one! I really don't know why I haven't yet ordered a sample of this from luckyscents, because I'm constantly seeing it mentioned as the best vanilla, and as adventurous as I'm trying to get with unusual and different fragrances, vanilla will always remain one of my favorites. Also I'm quite a timid person who loves my cozy, musky, powdery scents (I'm kind of wishing it was autumn right now!) My favorite vanilla fragrance at the moment is By the Fireplace. I agree about Serge Luten Un bois vanille is woody and more than just vanilla. It has been my go to for vanilla. As well as Orchid Vanille. Ashley is so determined that this is her holy grail. I would love to try this! Tihotia sounds like a pure vanilla which I have not smelled as of yet. If the longevity and the sillage is decent as Ashley said this is a gem. Thanks for the review! USA
Hi Sebastian, Irish subscriber here with a local USA shipping address. Great review, interesting to listen to Ashley using her perfume academia here, i remember when she had just started her studies. I already purchased a sample of this from Lucky Scent as they highly recommended it on their site. Tahota is definitely the reigning Queen of high quality linear vanilla perfume. It's rich like really good white chocolate. My other favourites are Jovoy Remember Me, Montale Intense Cafe and Molinard Vanille Patchouli.
My favorite part is Ashley duhhhhhh 😊 I like her as a guest on the channel. Also hearing Sebastian say "delicious". I am working on my impression of that. My favorite Vanilla is eau de shalimar. What I liked the most about this video was that you've pointed me toward one of my next purchases - probably second to next, and what I believe will be one of my perfect fragrances *because it is so pure vanilla*. I am going to buy a sample from Luckyscent this week. A powdery vanilla with some musk... oh my god. I am very excited. Your descriptions of it have me chewing the insides of my cheeks. As for my favorite vanilla scent, I have two, one of which is a gourmand, and the other not: the gourmand is Bond no. 9's Lafayette Street, and the other is my main fragrance, Bond no. 9's West Side, which most people smell as predominantly rose, and it perhaps is, but it is heavily vanilla, and I would say when you're new to it, you smell both equally - I did, and when I'm away from it for more than a week, I do when I go back to it. I hope the contest is still open!
I am fairly new fragrance exploration, so I don’t have a favorite vanilla fragrance yet. Now I want to take Ashley’s advice, not torture myself and go straight for the best. :) I liked this video because you wrapped good information in a playful and charming package as you always do.
Indult Tihota is AMAZING. I agree that there is so something hypnotic about this vanilla fragrance. I’ve tried a million vanilla fragrances and this one has left an everlasting impression that stays with me. It is so addicting and sexy. I about lost it when I saw you were doing a giveaway. I had to watch twice to make sure it was for real. I do believe there are also notes that have not been disclosed. Mr. Kirkdjian really out did himself with this one. It’s so pure and simply beautiful. While this would be my favorite, Vanille by Mona di Orio is another beauty in it’s own right. Thanks for such a great review and a giveaway to die for. Great video and review. I don’t know Tihota yet, but definitely want to try it after watching you and Ashley. What I loved about the review is that I could perfectly imagine how Tihota smells, projects and kind of feels on the skin. Thank you for the cooking comparisons - very useful. I am looking for the vanilla fragrance that is pure and not too sweet - you feel the vanilla but it isn’t overwhelming. Currently I am testing Armani Privé Bleu Turquoise - which is sweet vanilla but with a hint of salt and incense. I am currently in Miami so I find it a good vanilla option for a warm climate.

I've been on the hunt for a little gem like this! I'm a gourmand fraghead I lean more towards vanille fragrances. Also marshmallow. Yum. I've bought tons of fragrances based on your reviews. My favs so far are Mugler Muse, feve d dior, Serendipity 3 Serendipitous, SDV Guerlain, I love them all so much! Definitely need to get my hands on this one! I just started to follow your reviews and so far it's been a great, different target, and a ton of different scents houses, personal taste change, and even when the budget is a bit limited it's always good to learn about it, this particular scent should be fantastic for a date night with your loved one, you can be the dessert!

I have a sample of Tihota that I got few months ago but it didn't got my nose that much to be honest, it reminds me of some Sylvaine Delacourte in her samples that I got last year... To my nose, so far, the BEST Vanilla fragrances are: Vanille Exclusive - Mancera and Vaniglia - Mazzolari :) But as we're all humans and change my nose can change too to appreciate more this fragrance :D :D

Tihota is definitely one of my favorite vanillas is all time, along with Vaniglia by Mazzolari, Vanille Absolu by Montale and Vaniglia Del Madagascar by PdF. Loved the review as always! The fact that Francis Kurkdjian is the nose behind this fragrance really has me intrigued. My current favorite vanilla fragrance is probably TF Tobacco Vanille, but I have a feeling I really need Indult now 😂
What I liked about this review is that you both described this perfume as a TRUE vanilla, which is what I am looking for! Tihota sounds great to me because it sounds like it will make my search for my favorite vanilla come to an end ! My favorite vanilla fragrance that I own is a discontinued Vanilla Oil from The Body Shop (they re-made it but it isn't the same).

I truly love all the subtle little notes that stand back to the pure and delicate vanilla. When I tested it I loved the little smokey burnt note, like scraping the burnt parts off a pan of crème brûlée. Just heavenly.
Okay now for my entry. What I liked about his review is of course hearing A guys perspective female fragrances. If I must be honest, that is about 80% of the reason that I subscribed LOL. I also liked the mentions of other notable vanilla scents that are often recommended when speaking of Tihota. I would say believe it or not my favorite vanilla is Jessica Simpson‘s Fancy. LOL not the most expensive, not a niche fragrance, but it gives me exactly what I look for in a winter vanilla. Which is a vanilla that packs a sillage and some powder.
Ashley was an excellent, excellent addition to the video. And it doesn’t get more convincing than you both placing it as the best vanilla of all-time. Currently, my favorite vanilla is Perry Ellis Black Vanilla. (Commenting from FL, USA)

This is my favorite vanilla frag as well! I've been on a vanilla hunt for ten years now, way before I started getting into niche. When I got a sample of this, I knew it was the vanilla I've been looking for. I've sniffed a good amount of really nice variations of vanilla, but this was the penultimate. Best vanilla, hands down.

Great review Sebastian! I'm a nut for any fragrance with vanilla in it and especially cooking type vanillas! My current favorite I own is Un Bois Vanille, but this one sounds insanely good! Cooking vanilla brings back great memories of my Mom and Grandma baking in the kitchen together. They both passed away back in the early 90's when I was young, so stuff like this holds a special place in my heart! ❤️

What I liked about this review is Ashley's passion for Tihota and for perfume. Tihota sounds great because of its apparent trueness to cooking vanilla. My current favorite vanilla perfume is basic -- Black Opium Nut Blanche.
I think there are 2 real vanilla dominant perfume I really like. They are LOVANN by Santi Burgas and Havana Vanille by L'Artisan Parfumeur, also intriguing and little weird is Dead Sexy by Tokyo Milk Parfumerie Curiosite, but I like it as well ;-) Great review and as always the description of the smell of the scent is great. I'd love to try this one! Although I live in Poland, but I have an address in Huston, TX
I loved that you guys described this Tihota as a true Vanilla fragrance, just Vanilla and Musk! I have been looking for a true vanilla fragrance, because I am always put off by some vanilla fragrances that tend to smell synthetic and if this one smells like something you can bake with, and true pure vanilla, this may be the fragrance I need to try! I do not have a favorite vanilla fragrance yet. I live in the USA!
I’ve never really utilized a vanilla frags as I’m fairly new. There have been a few frags like jazz club that to me have a hint of vanilla though. Also, I think using this as a layer with a good deep Boozy scent would be awesome to!

This was a revelation on vanilla...always thought vanilla brought me back to my childhood and is very calming good to wear before bed. Pure vanilla scents are hard to come by without being mixed with other conflicting notes...and by the genius creator MFK. WOW. Shalimar is classic for me....USA citizen
If connoisseur like you , and future perfumer are both really impressed by certain fragrance, no doubt this fragrance should be a winner. Musky vanilla, sprinkled with chocolate, rich and deep smelling. Tihota checks all the boxes.
Hypnotic Poison Dior is one to the best vanilla fragrances out there , but lately I’m obsessed with Vanille Fatale Tom Ford. Smells so so good I sold my 50ml bottle, and bought 250ml decanter.

I LOVED everything about this review... From the fragrance drydown description to the individuals interpretation. That definitely got my attention and made Tihota sound just delightful to me.
I'm a vanilla lover, so it's really hard for me to pick one favorite, but at this moment the best one I've been using so far is Angélique Noire, by Guerlain. A green, spicy and delicious vanilla, with a woody/musky undertone.

I have a bottle of reve en cuir from Indult, a beautifully crafted gourmandic leather, but I haven’t tried anything else in the line. My favorite vanilla fragrance is a dry chypre from L’Occitane called Eau de Baux. Great price, and fun to wear when traveling!

Hands down I loved every detail on this review. For one I'm really not familiar with this house. But I certainty do love the vanilla note. I was even more intrigued that it also has a chocolate/cocoa vibe to it. Kinda sounds like a gourmand which I absolutely love. My current fav vanilla scent at the moment is PDM Layton. What I like about this video: you make it very clear that Tihota is the greatest Vanilla of all time (no beating about the bush), plus Ashley. What makes Tihota so great: it is simple (vanilla plus musk) but nothing compares to its delicious smoky sweetness and purity. The dry down of Dulcis in Fundo (Profumum) I have found is the closest in its smoky vanilla sweetness, although Dulcis starts out citrus. Vaniglia del Madagascar (i Profumi di Firenze) is just a straightforward vanilla without the musk that makes Tihota complex. TIHOTA is not only my favorite vanilla of all time but my favorite scent of all time. I have been living off Lucky Scent samples and Ebay decants over the last three years because it is so expensive. I would love to win a bottle! Sebastian thank you for this video as well as the Animalic one with Dahlia, where Charlatan was number one (Charlatan may be my number 2 favorite). Both videos spot on!

Great to see Ashley again! Years ago C.O. Bigelow Elixir Black was my signature scent. I like its Vanilla note and would get a lot of compliments when I wore it. I don't currently have a favorite vanilla fragrance. I own PDM Layton, but I haven't been wearing it.

But SDV comes off so divine on my skin!!! It's been my fav ever since I dropped Eau Duelle and thanks to that strong rum. Mmmmmm - hard to find a vanilla that tops it IMO; but if Ashley's right.... definitely gotta try this one. Totally agree that Un Bois Vanille smells syrupy btw - almost beeswaxy to my nose - which is a bit of a turn off. Really wish FK would include a vanilla in the Collection des Essences for Elie Saab, as the Amber is freakin' amazing. Loved seeing Ashley again. Her insight is always warranted! NC

What I love about this review is that you two were able to describe it so well that in my head I was able to imagine how it really smelled. This is really hard to do. Being able to describe a smell is a talent and you both have it.

My Vanilla experience unfortunately is limited to designer fragrances, so I will say it is Jean Paul Gautier Ultra Male. I didn't know Francis Kurkdijian created Tihota or the other fragrances you mentioned prior to his fragrance brand. I haven't tried Indult Tihota or anything from Indult. I am from the USA. I am a fan of PDM Layton and I recently discovered Commodity Gold but am interested in trying more vanilla scents.

I love Ashley's great enthusiasm for this one! I really don't know why I haven't yet ordered a sample of this from luckyscents, because I'm constantly seeing it mentioned as the best vanilla, and as adventurous as I'm trying to get with unusual and different fragrances, vanilla will always remain one of my favorites. Tahota is definitely the reigning Queen of high quality linear vanilla perfume. It's rich like really good white chocolate.
My other favourites are Jovoy Remember Me, Montale Intense Cafe and Molinard Vanille Patchouli.

Favorite vanilla . Just went through a bunch of stored perfumes and found an 18 ml of Vanitas. I spritzed away.
What I liked the most about this video was that you've pointed me toward one of my next purchases - probably second to next, and what I believe will be one of my perfect fragrances *because it is so pure vanilla*. I am going to buy a sample from Luckyscent this week. A powdery vanilla with some musk... oh my god. I am very excited. Your descriptions of it have me chewing the insides of my cheeks. As for my favorite vanilla scent, I have two, one of which is a gourmand, and the other not: the gourmand is Bond no. 9's Lafayette Street, and the other is my main fragrance, Bond no. 9's West Side, which most people smell as predominantly rose, and it perhaps is, but it is heavily vanilla, and I would say when you're new to it, you smell both equally - I did, and when I'm away from it for more than a week, I do when I go back to it. I hope the contest is still open!

Indult Tihota is AMAZING. I agree that there is so something hypnotic about this vanilla fragrance. I’ve tried a million vanilla fragrances and this one has left an everlasting impression that stays with me. It is so addicting and sexy. I about lost it when I saw you were doing a giveaway. I had to watch twice to make sure it was for real. I do believe there are also notes that have not been disclosed. Mr. Kirkdjian really out did himself with this one. Currently I am testing Armani Privé Bleu Turquoise - which is sweet vanilla but with a hint of salt and incense. I am currently in Miami so I find it a good vanilla option for a warm climate.

Stephan Thienel Shalimar Parfum is by far the greatest vanilla I’ve ever smelled followed by SDV but Shalimar is still worlds above it.
I'm surprised to see Ashley in this review instead of the guest you normally do yummy reviews and list with.
Vanilla is my absolute favorite note and I've been dieing to try this, I did not know he created this one cool to know! My current favorite vanilla id spirituese double vanilla by guerlain.

I have to try this! I’ve never heard of this before and I love Francis Kurkdjian as a perfumer and I absolutely love Guerlain Double Vanilla. If this is any better it’s a must have for me. I’d love a shot at the giveaway. Thanks again for the review and the opportunity to give this a try. PA
You both have me so intrigued by this review! I love vanilla fragrances but I have never found a "true" vanilla scent. This one sounds so beautiful and elegant. The only vanilla fragrance that kind of comes close for me that I have purchased more than once is Hanae Mori Butterfly. I live in Pennsylvania.
Francis Kurkdjian is a fragrance magician , i love vanilla , so i expect something great from Tihota . A bit spicy , a bit boozy , really sweet true vanilla . I'll try to get a sample.Both of you praising it to some cosmic level degree intrigues me a lot.
My favorite vanilla fragrance is Noir Pour Femme Tom Ford .

I've been on the hunt for a little gem like this! I'm a gourmand fraghead I lean more towards vanille fragrances. Also marshmallow. Yum. I've bought tons of fragrances based on your reviews. My favs so far are Mugler Muse, feve d dior, Serendipity 3 Serendipitous, SDV Guerlain, I love them all so much! Definitely need to get my hands on this one! I just started to follow your reviews and so far it's been a great, different target, and a ton of different scents houses, personal taste change, and even when the budget is a bit limited it's always good to learn about it, this particular scent should be fantastic for a date night with your loved one, you can be the dessert!
I always love to hear Ashley’s take, you guys work so well together! Still searching for my perfect vanilla, SDV didn’t wow me, but I think this one might do it for me 😉 The closest thing to my favorite “vanilla” right now would probably be Love by Killian
I have a sample of Tihota that I got few months ago but it didn't got my nose that much to be honest, it reminds me of some Sylvaine Delacourte in her samples that I got last year... To my nose, so far, the BEST Vanilla fragrances are: Vanille Exclusive - Mancera and Vaniglia - Mazzolari :) But as we're all humans and change my nose can change too to appreciate more this fragrance :D :D
