He didn't reach his prime. 22 years old as an MVP, he was still an up and coming youngster at that age. People just thought of it as his prime because of how good he was. But actually prime age in sports ranges between 25-28 years of age, and after that your accumulated experiences would also play a factor and enhanced your overall skills set. He was unfortunate but still lucky to be able to play at a high level player for the bench. And I believe he could still be a solid starter but he's known to have low durability so he's suited as a backup PG.

Watching these highlights brings me to tears ngl. Came from the rough neighborhoods of south side Chicago, recruited by his local NBA team, becomes the MVP, then falls back a ton after a series of tragic injuries. He may be a shadow of his past in terms of physical capability, but he has been reborn a much more wiser player & man than before. One of the wisest players in the league afaik. Pouring out gold in all his recent interviews.
Now in 2023, he’s in the same team with Ja Morant, who is the polar opposite in terms of upbringing, but shows similarities in his plays. A master and disciple scenario that I can’t keep my eyes off of. Let’s all see how the torch gets passed down.

By the time he fixed and maintained his back issues, his shoulder went, the knee. ALLL IN HIS PRIME YEARS. From 24-28 years old. Dude had back problems while averaging 32ppg on one of the weakest supporting cast a superstar has ever carried in the playoffs. Literally no other go to scorer, not even a defensive stopper. The messed up part about this is... This is considered "Prime Rose" . This wasn't even suppose to be considered his prime years because he was still young and only getting better at a rapid pace. We call this his prime only because he's been injured a bunch of times... If you have been following rose since the beginning you would know he still has highlights similar to these post injury.... If you have been following him he still can give you 18-20ppg if the refs wasnt on any bs with the foul calling. He has also put up 20plus point games and 30 point games since hos injuries. If you have been following him since his injuries you would know he still gets up for the good teams and star players and sometimes outshines them .. Its so trash how its the popular thing to talk about his knee injuries cause this dude is still an above average players. They dont give him a chance to show case what he still offers UNTIL the ball in his hands. Its the popular thing to say nowadays that rose is trash and most of the time the people that are saying it doesnt even watch him... Rose is my favorite player so I'm riding with him regardless

So many insane plays that they don't even have the game winner IN Golden State WITHOUT Butler in OT
Or the Halloween game winner in Chicago against the Knicks, over DPOY Tyson Chandler
His double clutch, in-the-air pass to Taj Gibson IMO is even better than the Noah pass against the Pistons too. I believe it happened against the Sixers, trap came at half court and it still couldn't stop D Rose. Hands down the most underrated passer/playmaker in the history of pro basketball. This dude is not "just a scorer." The best offensive weapon he ever played with was an old Pau Gasol. Give Prime D Rose some horses to run with & watch him shine even brighter

He didn't reach his prime. People always talk about how good he was on his prime. But listen, he became the youngest MVP at the age of 22. That age is still an up and coming talent in sports who still needs development and experience. Prime age in sports ranges from 25-28 years old. And as you gain experiences and development, your overall skills sets would increase dramatically. If he reach his prime age, OMG!
