This video is excellent. It is concise, well presented and does a great job. Thank you! It explained exactly how to adjust and replace our toilet seat. Brilliant!
Amazing video, thanks so much for taking the time to prepare this, told me everything I need to know, and really appreciated the steps on being careful when installing the toggle zip. Made a worrying job seem very easy, many thanks again.
I was about to remove my toilet from the wall and found this - excellent! Brilliantly explained - I am very grateful. What an ingenious thing a toggle zip is.
Thanks from Germany, you saved our dinner tomorrow. I have to change the seat in our guest toilette and after unboxing I thought, this will need a long time, but then I discovered your Video! By the way, I changed the seat from a keramag, same procedure, thank you😁😁👍👍👍👍
Similar to other comments, i was fearing the worst, i.e. a struggle or toilet removal. This video is brilliant and explains the process so well, now life is simple ! thank you
Nice instructions. One question: How do you adjust the height of the seat, so that all four pads touch down on the top of the toilet? Sometimes the two pads in the rear tend to be too high and therefore not making contact. Then most of the weight is taken by the hinges.
This was very useful, thanks. The instruction that are printed on the plastic parts bag are completely unreadable! I had problems removing the old bolts, which were obviously corroded. I solved the problem by first squirting some WD40 done the hole and left it to do its magic while I had lunch. Then I forced a thin, long flat-bladed screwdriver done the hole next to the bolts to hold the nut still while carefully undoing the bolts with a decent ring wrench. They were still stiff but yielded eventually! No more cleaning this toilet with bathroom cleaner, soapy water only in future.
A client asked me to look at their loose seat, the hinge set up looks slightly different to your video. Do they all work on lift up principal? These hinges look more like a horizontal barrel, all white.
Hello, I live in an Arts and Crafts 1918 bungalow; I own a Villeroy and Boch Strada 2-piece toilet in Biscuit, which matches the style of the house nicely. The toilet came with a plastic seat that V&B makes exclusively for that model, as they do for all their toilets. My question is, can you switch the V&B plastic toilet seat out for a regular elongated oak wood toilet seat which would look much better? Is there some type of conversion kit available to do so?
A first class video but - however tight I made the fixings the seat still slid about due to the offset pivot.. Now I'm going to try some mastic. The previous seat was a much better design as it had a bar right across. The seat then slid onto the bar and was secured by two tiny screws - very easy for removal. However the soft close didn't last long and doesn't appear to be repairable
Surely it's a damn sight easier to fit the seat before the plumber fits the bog, cos surely you can get behind and under it before its fitted to the cistern, if you know what I mean
I am unable to remove the fixing on mine ( on either side). Using screwdriver the screw come loose but do not come'up' . Presume the part it is screwed into is loose. Any ideas how I can remove?
Very nice presentation. But whoever made such a complicated thing out of something that used to be simple and straightforward should be locked up in the Tower for life. I just went in to install my new bidet seat and found the old seat won't come off and it's bolted underneath out of sight, like the one you show. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. Maybe I should just build a bloody little outhouse and be done with it.
WTF! toggle zips. These are the best invention ever. Also, toilets with no access are the worst invention ever, UNLESS YOU HAVE TOGGLE ZIPS! WHERE DO I GET THEM!!!
Easy to install, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.
Thank you! Had a loose toilet seat and had no idea how to fix it. You helped me fix it in 5 mins!

Welcome back to another round of "why is this a recommended video" 🤣
Thank you for this great video! The instructions that come with the seat are sh*t, without this video I’d have to pay someone to fit it.

THANKS FOR THE INFO, BUT i DO NOT THINK THIS IS A USER FRIENDLY FITTING.
