@@bawilson999, I agree that's the case, just not most of what those two talked about.
When Chris said we're in a "Republican versus Democrat" mindset, he was incorrect; we're in a "are you pro-Trump or anti-Trump" mindset. And on the anti-Trump side, it doesn't matter if you're wrong or right about the facts; it only matters if you're anti-Trump.
And this "philosophy" has rendered us dumber as a society. And the fact that so-called "Democrats" are advocating censorship, pro-war, and pro-intelligence agencies when they have historically opposed those three things tells me just how _dumb_ all of this is. Again, though, that's because of the TDR they suffer from, as there doesn't seem to be a vaccine that kills that virus.
Also, people like Chris and others who put labels on others bother me; labels like "far-left" or "far-right," while of course, designating themselves as "moderate." 🙄
The fact is, after nine-eleven happened, both political parties moved the political goalposts on all of us. Besides, so-called _moderates_ have always been a huge part of the problem, as they fall asleep for three and a half years and only decide they want to tell us all how things are right before a major election happens.
And no, I'm not a Trump supporter either. I never voted for him the first time and won't vote for him this time. But that's hardly the point. And I _used_ to be a Democrat. But after the past two decades of their BS, I decided to leave that defunct, corrupt political party.

@@Silence_Duder_Gooder people do NOT have to pick a side in this mess. You are highly mistaken. I am center/independent/moderate... we do exist and we will not be forced to pick a side between the left and right. The right has some extreme folks just like the left. And those extreme people, on both sides, are totally full of themselves.

    • @Silence_Duder_Gooder

@@bawilson999, and they did address that in the interview-the part about how people are afraid to express their political opinions-but I view that as a form of cowardice. Especially since we're being squeezed by this bipartisan government more and more.
And don't allow the media to gaslight you about third-party candidates, either. That's their flawed schtick, and it's always a lie. I researched it for myself. I checked the 2016 election totals and gave Hillary all of the Independent, Green, and "Others" votes, while giving Trump _only_ the Libertarian votes.
And what I found was, Hillary _still lost;_ she lost with the electoral college and those close battleground states as well. So that "if you vote for" candidate C, "you're giving your vote to" candidate B thing is a bad joke, as the media is attempting to control people's voting habits through fear.
What their faulty metric presupposes is that those people who voted for candidate C would vote for candidate A if not for candidate C's inclusion in the process, which is not measurable, because they're not mind readers. The fact is, most of us who will vote for candidate C will never vote for _either_ of the other two mainstream political parties anyway.
We'd either vote for candidate C or not vote at all. I've asked people like me that question, and that's the majority of the responses I got from them.
And sure, some did say they _may_ vote for candidate A, but half of them also said they may vote for candidate B, but both sides also said they "weren't sure about that," though.
      So that's a wash.
And that sample size was around fifty people, with eight of them who weren't sure.
      So, there you go.

      @Silence_Duder_Gooder 10 місяців тому

@@sireel, they didn't say anything that most of us don't already know. And the issues we're experiencing currently aren't solely that people talk over one another without listening; they're _systemic._
And unless we soon get into the streets by the hundreds of thousands and start making them listen to us, we're all screwed. But then again, the media won't cover that protest march, as they are part of the problem, which is the ironic part, because Chris doesn't seem to understand he's part of that overall problem.
I'd say the biggest story of our lifetime currently is the Julian Assange case. Yet, where is that story on this and other networks? Yeah, silence. And that case is especially important right now because of what our government, including the Supreme Court, is trying to do with our speech. And you would think "journalists" would care about that case, but since these people aren't actually journalists, but instead sycophant stenographers, they won't cover it.
So, yeah, sure, I get their point about communicating, but they're trying to put a band-aid on a gaping neck wound that's spurting our life's blood all over the filthy floor. And what they mean by communicating is that we agree with _their_ take, because they're self-labeled "moderates." And everyone else who isn't them is "far" this and "far that. And that's why we can't speak to them, because that label is bloody bollocks.
Plus, Dr. Phil may just be one step above the My Pillow guy as far as integrity is concerned.

@@justmeandthethree Well, let's start with Tacitus and just keep going. In all seriousness, I like works based on extant documentation, and I'm a huge NPS fan. If you're in NYC go to the African Burial Ground, it's really worthwhile. I've gotten good information from Eric Foner's "Reconstruction" as well as Harriet Beecher Stowe's "A Key to Uncle Tom's Cabin" - the novel is problematic, but this is her nonfiction work compiling documentation of the atrocities of legalized enslavement in the South. I can recommend visiting the National Voting Rights Museum in Selma and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, as well as The King Center in Atlanta and the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis (tragic, and I have my own opinion about the assassination, for information about that I would recommend reading the King v Jowers civil trial verdict in addition to people like Garrow. I don't like the way he talked about the King family. Anyway). I can also recommend visiting the New York Historical Society in NYC and the NPS site in Lexington/Concord. Kingsley Plantation in Jacksonville, Florida is an eye-opener in terms of the site itself. I can also recommend Gettysburg, the entire site, as well as places like Winterthur in Delaware and Ventfort Hall and the Edith Wharton House in Massachusetts to get a feel for the 19th century from the wealthier peoples' perspective. Hildene in Vermont is interesting.
      That's a start.

When you stick with mental health, you are strong, credible and fact-based. When you veer into your own BS, you lose a lot of your former fan base. But hey! You are trying to ride it both ways. Careful you don't hurt yourself. I used to be a big fan and am still a fan of the mental health side of things but all the other slimy stuff? No. You have become grossly right wing and so partisan. Why don't you support women's rights to abortion? Student's rights to protest against universities making money from arms sales? I never hear you say anything about native Americans or hate speech and how vile and violent that is. You never discuss the rants of MTG and Boebert. ALWAYS, you want to point to cancel culture as "left." Who is really doing the cancelling, Dr Phil? You the one with the network and influence stretching back decades.

    DR. PHIL: & ACCOUNTABILITY - 2024 $$$$
All are accountable to the judgment of time
And when we die without truth our sadness never ends.
By the deepest longing of our heart, mind and soul
We serve our Lord, homeland, family and friends.
With accountability we apply life’s wisdom
Guidelines to promote a moral life.
We receive our fame by our demeanor
As we struggle through ridicule and strife.
All through history up to today
Our chronicle of life is accountability.
Evil is a beast feasting on souls
Corrupting man with greed, hate and disability.
Always stay mindful of what must be done
With purpose, determination, prayer and accountability.
Giving our best to protect and preserve
A life of freedom, faith, love and stability
    With honor we obtain uprightness
And by love and compliance we gain grace.
    Integrity gives us proper goals
Improving the standard of our race.
    By Tom Zart!

"This country was founded on and built upon meritocracy. Where talent, hardwork, added value is rewarded." No. No Phil McGraw. The country was founded on capitalism.(and racism for that matter) If hardwork is rewarded, then it wouldn't have taken a Civil War to free slaves. Hardwork would've set them free.
