Beginner with 4900 points I’m sooooo close to intermediate now ! From 1 week Pete you’re the man! Thanks bro all the Knowledge, I just won Europe advanced caps no fog prog, a master and a expert a novice and a beginner, EVERYTHING short of a gm, I always used to lose prog caps because I wasn’t sure how to use my stacks and when to lock them in and cap stack and when open them, I got him card blocked, and he moved off the cap and gave it to me when I had 1100 to his 400 on the board, and he was stuck in Spain only holding Spain and noob corner cap, round 45 my longest game and 2 hours man! I was like be patient, be Pete lol sit back, let them fuck each other lol 😂 and red got fucking enormous, it came down to me black and red he had like 1100 at round 25-30 ish, and it was a and me and black had 700 and 400 so I threw him a heart and said attack red and we fucking nailed him, got him down to 700 and black was 400 me 1100 I was only attacking with my sets, and the rest just cap stacking) and back and fourth I would hit red then black and we would go back and fourth opening our enormous caps lol 😂 then black sued into red at the end cause it’s fucking 3 am lol and he knew he wasn’t gonna fucking win lol 😂 but red was fucking black in the early game so I was like bet I’m gonna keep him alive and we are gonna fuck red lol 😂 AND I WON perfect psychology Pete and I only guarded with 2s lol with 1000s of troops on the board lol 😂 kept it all on the cap and these fuckers kept leaving 30 here 40 there and I was just slamming them with 200 stacks and going positive I know they were fucking burning up inside lol 😂 maybe if they watched Pete they wouldn’t overextend and fucking leave 60 percent of their troops off caps lol 😂 in the end I wish I coulda have black second, but he had 4 cards and was 20 troops and the bonus was like 185 or something like that it was fucking huge and red was sitting on 1 card so it would have set him, so I had to black unfortunately, he fought well he was the beginner, two beginners took down a fucking master and expert, blue was the master red was the expert, we all leaned on blue lol 😂

For chess I do the same cause when playing shorter formats most of my losses come from lack of speed
or maybe he doesn't own a pc and only plays on phone, I do the same. chess is not as bad as risk in regards of speed, i was playing even bullet formats (1/1, not 1/0 to be totally honest) on my phone with no problem.

Very weird for Black to lay down like that. No better opportunity to try and hone your end game skills than in an end game.
It was over with the miss route and the blizzard blocking the route back into Germany. You can tell black realized their mistake with a pause when they hit the blizzard.

If black went through the middle of the board it would have been rough for then given their speed but not being able to break

They had a similar troop count but that error let pete go ~+40
I agree, I had two games like this recently. One where I stepped off cause I just didn't have the time to finish, also didn't think I could win anyhow.
The other I played out and beat a master rank player with a lot of the lessons I learned from the prior game.
I only started playing RGD a couple weeks ago, but I've learned a lot just by playing out losing games that I had time for, already almost at expert
He had nothing to learn, he realised his mistake and understood that it's over.
So what did we learn today class? 🤣

I think maybe 1st and 2nd place was locked in when the cap positions were chosen as long as you did fight eachother.
Just had a game where a player stopped playing, then become a bot, then joined again and played as a bot: waiting till the end of the turn, adding random troops to random regions.
Then when I killed the other player, he suddenly starts emoting and proceeds to kill me.
Genuine question: is this objectively considered cheating? It feels like it is so I reported but I'm not sure if it is officially considered cheating. In any case, worst sportsmanship I have ever witnessed in a game haha ;)
