Amazing video for being the first video to cover vsrg patterns to this extent despite excluding other subgenres from pattern terms, they didn't really need going over nonetheless and were mentioned anyway. It brings me joy living through the new depths that people explain something until it's released as a documentary in a random ass video many wouldn't expect to see when living through and seeing the people that did what they had to aspire them to accomplish it, and scripting/researching/using your brain to explain the full importance of it, the patterns etc defines that as much as potential goes. When you next want to make a video, I'm happy to suggest doing one about the importance of LN, I have nothing against it being rejected and do not mind if it's documented or not, after all, it could be somewhat controversial since there are a lot of opinions people have, games people began on, and complexity people find it that make people hate about LN. However.. people often forget that there are only two types of notes, and one being LN, choosing to be one sided with normal notes would virtually limit their quality of being a true vsrg rhythm gamer, and because LN exists anyway, there's simply no point in pretending it doesn't and being that one sided individual, no matter how much you ignore it, you will always come across it either way, it makes you a pussy to decide to forget it. To quit playing if you know it's wrong for you is a different thing altogether, but to quit playing LN because it's too hard for you is unreasonable. Again, sorry that this turned out so long lmao, at least there's no denying that I am a devoted rhythm game enthusiast 😅 you could say this comment documented LN, but there is a lot more that needs to be said than what I've said to back it up that I'm just gonna leave for the video, if there is one.

People need to understand key counts! Some people don't know the different between 10k, 4+6k, 5+5k! Also 18k, 9+9k, and 10+4+4k! and it isn't only for high key counts! 4k maps and sections can have these key counts... -**2+1+1k** (can be tricky to identify sometimes... not explaining here) usually used for jumpstreams, this is an advanced key count -**2+2k** almost always chordjacks, mostly double notes, that require both hands (assuming DF-JK controls and normal playing) also "elim" charts are technically 2+2k, this can have streams -**3+1k** (through the fire and flames intro) -**1+1+1+1k**, not good but still seen (hitsound difficulties and some tech) -**4k** Usually handstreams and tech and other patterns, very common and seen in almost every 4 key chart. -**3k** One lane left empty, can also be split into 1+1+1k and 2+1k ANY lane can be removed! -**2k** two lanes left dormant, can sorta be 1+1k, but I'm not sure if 1+1k exists. -**1k** not common and stupid
I’ve never seen 3+1 2+2 2+1+1 layouts before. How do they even work? I’ve yet to see a mania chart that follows these layout formats. I’ve seen 7+1 and 6+4 and 6+2 aswell as 5+5 before. But never 2+1+1 and so on.
First run in with some of these patterns (Mostly using the Hardest Difficulties Charts from watching others play years ago) Long Jacks (Which I learned the named of from this video) - Beast and The Harlot (Main Rift) Guitar Hero 2 (And any follow up charts for any GH/RB game) Chord Jacks, Quad Jacks. Jump and Hand Streams - Stricken and Before I Forget - GH3 (Those charts are some some of the earliest chord tech I could name) Noodles - Uprising (Intro. Chorus 1) - GHWoR Trills, Staircase - TTFAF (Twin Solo) - GH3 Rolls - Uprising (Bass) - GHWoR (Also Guitar Solo D from the RB1 chart of Constant Motion deserves a mention as a FC Killer)
for me personally they are a great way to test endurance, especially if the map is prolonged. Though the drawback is being close to getting carpal tunnel
Imo, everyone who likes LN maps are devils. Have always despised them, somehow I can play 4.5 star maps even some 5 star maps with like 90-95% accuracy. Then I play a LN 3 star map, and I fail it. It literally breaks my mind every time I see them
Honestly, I am still playing vrsg for about 3 months and got really good in a fast rate, but I gotta admit sometimes idk its jacks or tech or something because I get confused xD
It's more like which ones do you wanna play, no one's pressuring ya to play all of them. If we're talking mapping, then if you feel that the song can be mapped a certain way, you put a pattern of the ones mentioned in accordance.
