I think Ford deserves a shout out as well for continuing to build these amazingly S650 Mustangs. We have yet to see the full potential of the Gen 4 Coyote Mustang, but a 9 5 is an impressive start.
The dealer installed my Whipple Stage 1 on my 24 s650 Premium on a Friday, Sunday I tore off a 10.14 with only 93 octaine fuel and a set of Street Et's! I'm STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. It took 8 grand in add ons and a tune on my 23 Redeye Challenger to get into the 10.20s. I'm amazed at these s650s performance with a simple Whipple kit.
That conservative Whipple tune is pretty good. The average Joe/Jane doesn't need much more power than that. The hardcore racers will just have to wait to see the full potential of these new S650 Mustangs. I especially want to see the max potential of the Dark Horse with an aftermarket tune on E85, because it got some the engine internal parts from the 2020-23 Shelby GT500 to make it stronger and more durable than the Mustang GT.
Exciting video, StangMode! I think we need to give Ford some acknowledgment as well. They're smart enough to offer the Whipple with the 5.0! It's a combination that works! 👍

Thanks Stangmode again for another video showcasing that the s650 GT is just a s550 2.0 , it’s nice knowing that outside of cosmetic changes and interior changes and minor other changes that the S550 GT and Mach 1 are just as fast as the new car, stock for stock and mod for mod. I should be thanking ford for making an updated car no faster than the previous generation car. We get to choose between a locked ECU car and a not locked ECU car. Same performance regardless. Nice to know that i can have a s550 GT or a S650 GT and they will run the same times.

The Whipple tune is adaptive up to a certain point, so you're not getting the absolute optimum output running race gas compared to an aftermarket tune from one of the top tuning companies. Race fuel blend also adds safety since octane in pump gas can be inconsistent and don't want to play around with that on a forced induction vehicle with high compression.

He is just running 30% E85. All you need to do is take 30% of the gas tank capacity and fill with E85. The stock & Whipple tune dump enough fuel to allow E30. You can do this on a stock 24 Mustang also.

They didn’t quite making them because they were shit they quit because they can’t keep a 2 valve high performance v8s emissions friendly they are also larger in displacement. Dodge was screwed by stilantis and the epa. Camaro I have no idea but they still make the vet. It’s not a good thing ford now has no competition because make no mistake they are some cheap bastards who won’t get any better if they don’t have to. And the only reason they are bringing it now is because nobody will contend with them so they wanted dodges power records after they called it quits. Just so happens they had the emissions credits a 4 valve v8 and added 2 carbon traps on it locked it then said hey whipple you want a contract they couldn’t even do their selves 🤣.

Amazing time. However, a few things need clarification. On the list, it states "Full Interior," but at 2:27, it really looks like it's missing the passenger seat. Another thing you mentioned is that it passes emissions. Can you confirm that it still has catalytic converters or not.
Black Mamba had an aftermarket tune on E85 with more mods, so you have to put things in context or perspective. This is impressive for a conservative Whipple tune. I can only imagine what kind of numbers this car would run on an aftermarket E85 tune. The Dark Horse received some engine internal parts from the GT500 so you should be able to push it harder than a stock engine S550.

GT350 is still going to be faster on the top end due to extra displacement and high revving flat-plane crank, but the Dark Horse would be quicker from a dead stop in drag racing due to the power curve (power coming in sooner). The Dark Horse would be a better daily driver because it make power sooner in the powerband compare to GT350, which you have to rev the engine above 5k RPM to feel anything. I believe GT500s were getting up to 1300 rwhp on stock internals, so the Dark Horse (similar engine internals) shouldn't be to far behind that number once aftermarket tuning and other forced induction options are available despite being down in displacement .2L, but it does have higher engine compression than the GT500 which is more beneficial when it comes to making more power with E85 or race fuels with less boost.

Hellion needs access and there needs to be a race tune that is scaled and set up for return style fuel system so it can be turned up.they can have the same emissions coming out with return style fuel system that has more head room so smaller pullies can be put on

I had always heard this too, but on these modern boosted applications, I've never seen 2" headers NOT out-perform 1 7/8" under the curve on the dyno.
