- Shakey Graves performs in Room 125 at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas for our twenty-eighth "Classroom Sessions" on October 1, 2013. Filmed and edited by Lawrence High School's film/media students. Part 3 of 3: "Roll the Bones" and conversation.
Awesome awesome awesome. This teacher who puts this together should get an award.
Although Shakey is young, he has meaningful experience of men twice his age. His music proves "processes are more important than chords or measures." The young adults in the class were fortunate, very fortunate.
I would have killed for this in High School haha.
Wow. Do we really need another school shooter?
Oh my gosh, was it an assignment for them to ask questions? I'd be like, "UMMMMMMMMMM SO WHERES DROOPY WEINERS??"
too underrated
Im more interested in the Spooky Wagons
I'm all, "what other possible affectation can this dude acquire" and then he's all "hold my beer" and breaks out the one man band drum/tambourine combo. Genius.
that retune in time at 1:07 is gold
damn lawrence high school you guys know your music
He just talked about Star Wars and Troll 2 in the same interview. I think I'm in love.
This guy rocks my world! I love him so much!
Wow I didn't want it to stop
ive been addicted to this dude, bully lament is another great tune
Very talented young man! Thank you for sharing his wonderful sounds. :)
every time i watch live vids of this man performing i get so blown away by his abilities. like hes playing guitar and singing and doing the drum/tambourine? its unreal except he exists. i love him. 😭 why did i ever think i was a lesbian again?
How awesome for him to come to your school and tell a bit! Super style. Lets see a bunch of artists do that! wish i had that experience when i was in school
I wish he would come to my school
i'm so proud to be American, because of You !
Brilliant performance and music !
the music. then the style. man.
Great guitar....
this is why kansas is the best state to live in
How many cameras did y'all use to film?
so good
Good music 👍🏴👊
Are you shitting me?! I live thirty minutes away from this high school and had no idea! This is seriously one of Kansas's few redeeming qualities lol
Ok I live in lawrence and I never heard about this, that upsets me.
Lucky....fucking....kids....lol, I would have given anything to see this here at my school in Texas. >_
Wish I went to that hi school
What guitar is he playing it sounds so good
It’s a hollow one. Gives it that cool haunting sound.
I think it's a Loar (hollow body).
Did all the kids run off with the mike, or what happened?
Hey, this is the dude from Friday Night Lights, wtf!
+Sean G. Yep! He was in Friday Night Lights and played a few other small parts in films.
Nice
the proper response is to freak out
hes singing way too quietly
It was his voice vs. an amplified guitar, which did you think was gonna win? Lol.
Reed Scott Nohrenberg He's also in a carpeted classroom which is not an ideal place for a musical performance. The walls do not resonate sound, that's why he sounds so flat and faint.
nah i just think his projection is gone from all them smokes
Reed Scott Nohrenberg lol . no
I like this song but one thing that always disappoints me is he never plays the bridge of the song like he does in the actual track. you know why? because like all musicians, he used auto tune
So what??? If it sounds good then fuck it. I don't know why you have to be such an idiot.
