It was super cool for Blake to contact the s and invite us out! This is now a privately owned area so it isn’t opened to the public. We hope to do some no prep stuff coming up sometime in the near future with a number of the projects that we have maybe a mini cash days!! Woohooooo
subscribed!
@Austin Litner I imagine that as long as dad pops into each video for a minute or two, its "dads alternate channel"
Great video and find Jeremy!
Thanks for cluing us in Blake! What is your YT channel or Instagram page?
Subbed Little Savage!
Little man is growing up so fast , keep the videos coming Jeremy and big shout out from Troy Alabama !!!
You and Cleetus need to try and purchase or lease the land and open up for some cool small events.
*Liam is gonna lose his license the day he gets it..* 😂🤣
Nope, if you hold off getting one you can get many tickets and they don't count. I know LOL
@@anastyb depends on the state. If the court seems you unsafe as a driver they can rip it from you
@@anastyb I don't know what state you're in but I've never heard of one that works like that if you don't have a license and get caught they ticket you for not having a license and if you get enough of them like I said I don't know about the state your in but the state I live in they will take that privilege away from you because after all a driver's license is a privilege not a right
Just remember, proper hand position is one hand at 12 o clock and the other fist raised victoriously out the window
...or like me, before he gets it lol
Blake's eyes getting wider and wider, every time he looks at the speedo is priceless.
"Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the wheel!! He is the Great and Powerful, uh, Jeremy!!" Great Icon! :-)
No, I am not saying "Pha Q". ;-) Isn't PhasterProms Awesome?! :-0
@@jlucasound Gotta love the whole crew. From Squirrel to Acorn, from Cleetus to Cooper, James to Holley.
So glad I found these guys to share their ride!
That Escalade is awesome. “Could really hurt some feelings “. Well said.
Richard King right 🤜
Had to laugh at the 'You could really hurt some feelings with this'. Very true fella, very true.
really cool to see the old footage
Darrell Simmers best part of the video well close
I think there was a Plymouth Belvedere in there. My dad had a 1965. Nice car.
Driving past a cop stoned in my late teens.
Me "act naturally."
Every friend I've ever had 7:37
truuuue
Nailed it!
2 dislikes..... Those two people just don't value Murika, Bald Eagles, Powwwwwa, and freedom!
Probably their driveway on the side of the old track.
Probably hit the dislike button by accident. Nothing to dislike on this video.
33 dislikes now
damn cat people I swear
@@808G8GT Interesting, I'm here two hours later and it was DOWN to 31 dislikes...
We love the Blue Ridge area. The apple orchard is AMAZING. Just to clear up some of the history on the track. It was known as Double H Drag Strip. It opened in 1963 and closed in 1966, almost 10 years before Atlanta Dragway opened. It was briefly known as Lost Mountain Drag Strip during its last year of operation. To my knowledge, the track never had a Christmas tree. A flagman stood in the square.
There's a lot of history at that track. I visited it about 10 years ago when I was actively researching 60's southern match racing, and Thunderbolts in particular. At that time it was a private airport but the owner was kind enough to let me walk the "track" and take a bunch of photos, and the numbered boxes that they used to set someone out a few car lengths were still painted down by the starting line. It's an awesome place.
It's still an airport.
We've got a Demon and a Jeep we'd love to bring out for some racing! That place is right down the road, can't believe I haven't heard of it living a few miles away.
Such a badass tank lol you can tell how surprised The guy was even though hes seen it on your channel. Which tells me the vids dont do it justice im guessing it feels like a jet taking off also love your channel your doing a great job
It Sounded like a Lear taking off too.
Its such a sleeper
Double H Dragstrip / Lost Mountain Drag Strip. It's was being used as a privately owned airstrip for the owners Cessna. There's an abandoned round track about a mile or so down the road from it. I'd love to own them both. lol. It's in a beautiful spot. About 5 minutes to the Tennessee state line, and what, about an hour and a half to Chattanooga Tennessee? Beautiful country up there, I used to live a little south of it near Jasper and had family in Blairsville. This makes me want to move back up there. Not for the track, but for the beautiful country! It's awesome! I think that track closed before I was even born. lol. Thanks for the video, it took me down a road of memories. lol.
Y’all let the Kat outta the bag... watch that place crawling with Hondas now😂
@Aaron Davis We'll just tell him they're lawn mowers
Best in car reaction ever, like hes experiencing a hardcore perspective check every time
What a cool find! Love the footage of the vintage drags from the 60's! Looks like it has potential if there's easy access from a decent highway.😉👍
That was some awesome old footage!! Thanks for sharing
What a Great guy! It's good to see someone who keeps Safe, and fun close to his heart, and neighborhood.
That's a really cool find! Always nice to have a place where you can run for fun.
That place would be perfect for a street race / cash days
Incredible place. Looking forward to more of it
I can't wait for acorn , I mean Liams new page
Really love your videos man and have to absolutely say thank you for actually having good music to go with it lol keeps it fun for watching.
Ha!!! I was gonna ask where your footage comes from with the hills in the background. I didn’t think Florida was that hilly 😬 question answered. What a beast that Caddy is. Made his day!!! Keep it up!!!
Damn that caddy has some ass.... it sounds like a jet taking off.. thanks Jeremy for the video keep them coming
J: I always love seeing your dogs. They are so happy , it is infectious. (I just lost my furry girl of 15 years...)
That was the most hardcore puppy playing ever with the music hahah
Thanks for the Video..... That was really neat...... Out here the Bulldozers would have the Asphalt torn up before the ink was dry on the paper. I think its really wonderful that you take the Dogs along with you.... You know they love it....I wish there was a safe place around here to take our Terror (Terrier)...Dog Parks are No Bueno around here.....
Love the info on the VHT/MEK mix and sprayer. Looking into that for my LLY. Ty guys!!
Hell yeah Jeremy ripping it up.....👍🏼
Congrats Acorn on the page !!!
All you need is a bunch of friends to show up and start laying down some rubber and lay down some track bite and you guys are golden.
That is gold there my friend prep it and use that for fasterproms sponsored 1/8 mile event.
Not possible unless the owner gives permission. This place is not abandoned, it is an active private airport called Blue Ridge Skyport. You can see the buildings and hangers as he drives down the runway. I'm not sure if the owner knows that locals use it and doesn't care or if he just doesn't know. If people start showing up, they will probably get kicked out.
Edit: I just read on another site that says the owners lets some of his friends make passes on the runway. If random people start showing up, it will probably get shut down.
AllTracTurbo well iv been watching fasterproms/Cletus MacFarlane for few years now an if they wanna do something they get it done who knows. 🤔🤷♂️
Nice find Jeremy!!
Check out Lloyd dragstrip rd in blarsville ga. Can't race on it but neat to see. There are houses lining eash side of what was an 1/8th mile strip back in the early to late 60s
7:34 haha the reaction of the guys "god damn thats a real start"
Great great video!! Love it man
that cadi sounds mean as hell lol
Great content thanks for sharing
I am from Western NC and always heard stories of this strip. Nice video.
Very cool, good tunes too!
Litterally right down the road from me!!!! I love living here the only down side is a lack of drag strips and good tuners like you!!!
3:38 When everyone ran a Gasser!
My father bought a 55 bel-air gasser a year and 9 mos ago. Anyone interested in old chevys especially gassers check out the Dec 2011 Hot Rod magazine. It is the same car in the picture. The first owner built it and owned it when it was in Hot Rod. Let me know what you think.
Jeremy is the man cant wait to see the little rippers videos
Jeremy I use to live in Kennesaw and sneak up there.
You know Mike Finnegan from ROADKILL lives in northern Georgia and builds jet boats right?
You should contact him and race his Chevy with the hemi .
Whats the address?
thanks Jeremy for another good video
Holy crap that caddy gets it. Nice daily! Thanks for the vid.
Wow that thing rips 😮👍🏻🇺🇸✌️
Great video, absolutely loved it - can't wait to see where this little slice of history leads :)
Number one selling point for Liam' channel, he's growing a killer mullet
Jeremey you really have that Big Girl sought out runs awesome
Hell yeah brother welcome to the liam McFarland UA-cam channel
Pork-a-pontimus is a friggin rocket ship!!
POV vids of Liam karting please, that'd be so cool to see him progress as he gets older
the outside shot of the launch sounded like a samsquanch hollern lol
In summer and spring months they have a cruise in at the Dairy Queen in Blue Ridge on the last Friday of the month.
I had heard of the airport that used to be a drag strip but never knew where it was at.
I just adore those 60's gasser!
Where did u find .61 mile of uncoppafied goodness lol!!! That’s f’ing awesome!!!!!! I’m totally jealous!! Wish I could find stuff like this in Rhode Island!!! Also the history behind this strip makes it that much cooler, I know Florida gets ragged on a lot but in certain parts of the north east you’d be hard pressed to find something this cool, especially that’s still operational!
#bringstripperstori #quartersinri #ycsypiyn
Ur place looks sick man wide open .tress .love it country living ..cheers
i love the old school side of this, think its great that the strip is still there and not been built on
The porkopotamus sounds like a damn jet plane going by.
He was talking about the washer fluid tank and vht. A guy I met back in the early 90s had a 77 trans am he had the washer tank mounted up in the package tray where the speakers sit and ran the lines and nozzles to each wheel well and it would spray directly on the tires. Couldn't even see it happening it was pretty slick.
Cool stuff. Hopefully you guys can set up some racing. Can't wait to see the porcupotomius. Put a whopping on some cars. Great video Jeremy.
Jeremy I'm from Chattanooga Tennessee and there's actually two or three quarter and eighth mile strips that have been abandoned right there at the line one in Rossville Georgia one in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia and one in a Lafayette Georgia go ahead and look them up if you want to all you got to do is just put the name of the city and old drag strip and they'll come up I promise
Bro I live in Ringgold holy shit😂
Brainerd motorsports park
@@iranmandies_6266 yep
Wheres the 1/4 mile spots again I feel there's not enough racing here crossville just shut down again to go up for sale and no 1/4 mile tracks that Ive heard of for hours worth of driving
Like a howling banshee in the night.....screeching down the road. Sweet sound track
Love my GA mountains.
Jeremy and Blake look like they could be brothers from out back woods.
Mama filmin' Daddy beating the snot out of her daily driver. "That's OK. If he breaks it, he'll have to build me a new one; and this time, with the bigger blower". That vehicle is a monster! :-)
Rock N Roll Retriever montage.
sweeeeeet
Haha I can tell he really enjoyed that!! That’s awesome man! Get a street sweeper out there and lay some asphalt down, good to go!!!!
Man I live in Commerce Ga. Where the other drag strip he was talking about. I'd love to meet you next time you're in the area. Love the channel.
Hell yeah. Keep the old tracks alive. That should a good race

Awesome thank you so very much
I went and gave him a subb man cant wait to see his channel take off like yours has
Come to Maryland and check out abandoned 75-80 drag way. Still has grand stands and staging lanes. Very cool.
Do you have a contact to get in?
Jeremy this is the track my dad used to go to that I went to growing up! That would be so awesome.
I can try and reach out to the people who own the land now. I will get back to you.
cutworms in his new shop should give him some love
every vintage shot in the video had a Race Hemi reeling somebody in on the top end, great stuff!
That dudes face when Jeremy floored it for the first time😂😂😂
Where did that background music come from I'm digging it!!!
That thing sounds mental guys from UK.
Abandoned race tracks, gocart tracks and drag strips all over N. Georgia. Remnants of some appear out from under Lake Lanier now and then when the water is down. One was in a cornfield near the Elliott's original shop... LOL Wanna good tour of the famous and infamous racing venues around here then hit me up. There's a virtual cornucopia of interesting sites that remain and others with only their most obscure last vestiges remaining. Still plenty of folks who can share their stories of racing on them, including Ole Billy Robert here. I can also put you on "The" Thunder Road any time you happen to be in the area.Best of luck to Liam the Little Savage! I've already subscribed, whacked the alert bell and have the first episode cued up!
Haha, love how Blake was not expecting that big pig to move like that AT ALL!!!
very cool
I’m subbed buddy.
That thing is crazy but yall be safe
I love the echo of the exhaust. It’s like a mini thunder valley that no one knows about.
I thought you were talking about Drag City in Ringgold GA. I used to live in N GA.
This is bad ass I'm one town over would def like to meet u on your way thru!!
I still think Norman needs his own Channel. He just has that cool Dog Look
Yo....Why can this kid drift better than me, and 90% of the people I know!?!? CONGRATS JEREMY!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome little dude!
