Unfortunately everyone..for a new boat owner the amount of systems dependant on water cooling is ridiculous, Trucks and buses cool off with AIR. Just food for thought.
I think ALL owners should have to take a class on their engines. It is amazing how clueless most folks are. Money are not, it's your responsibility to be educated on your vessel. I've seen it all over all my years. I'm not sating this to jerk. It's like an airplane to some degree. You need to be self sufficient an know how to get yourself out of a jam as best as possible. Some things we just can't help. But for him to have to travel 70 miles to push in a dip stick.... that's messed up.
As a former diesel engine marine tech I can really appreciate this engine and his teaching. Now the Ranger Tug, that's another discussion. Lot of information on that but this is not the place.
This dude is a unicorn. Not to sound racist but when was the last time a black dude work for over 40 years, a mechanic, and just great vocabulary and pleasant body language……

Chuck my good man, you are a born instructor. You should have your own series... thumbs up!
What about the engine Air circulation filter? If this is not changed, you will risk oil in the bilge. I know from experience.

Make sure the filter is tight otherwise the boat will be underwater.
We did impellers and heat exchanger clean every year. Man, looks hard to get to that thru hole hose to check flow.

Thank you for making and sharing these instructional videos.
This guy is fantastic. Thank you. I would love to see how you flush the heat exchanger on the D4. I haven’t seen anything for that online yet.
This dude is awesome. If I were to purchase a boat, I would hope to buy from him. This is a rare individual. Cheers!
Anyone know where the zincs are located ?
So nice having the oil change system, we always added those.
Alguém tem um manual de instalação com eixo?
Algún conocimiento para sincronizar los mandos
Impeller change every 5 years?... Hmm, should be checked min every season, or every 200 engine hours.
But it can last 5 years, at least on outboards. But doesn't hurt to check once a year.
Real nice presentation!
