With communities already struggling, particularly due to job losses and now the government’s intention to alter the treaty, the protest reflected the urgency and deeply personal nature of these issues. Despite the massive turnout, it was peaceful and passionate, a testament to the strength and spirit of those who participated.
No one can predict the future, but I’m incredibly proud to have been part of this once in a lifetime event. I hope future generations continue to carry this legacy forward of walking as one.
If there is ever another one, which I doubt it, take the day off. I overheard some were prepared to lose there jobs if need be for the cause. Be brave my friend, something are more important than money.
