Thanks for sharing, enjoyed that, always great to see MX5s punching above their weight! Mad (and a bit sad) that the MX5 is the lightweight car here, despite having all the mod cons and comfort... well done Mazda! 🙂
Looks like a fast track seeing how you were running out in 4th through some of those sweepers! PS4 are a good touring sport tyre, but from the look of it you'd benefit from something a bit grippier.
Yes traction fully off Paul otherwise it intervenes to much for my liking. Just takes time to build up and have the confidence in the car moving around.
Did you do anything to stiffen up the Hood ? nice driving would you consider ND2 with kinamatic posture control with same upgrades it would be intereesing match up. I think Lotus driver was worried about how much he forked out for his Exige compared to the MX5 ND BBR upgrades !!
Hood is all standard. The Nd2 with the BBR kit goes to 220bhp over the 200bhp for the ND1, not sure you would notice the difference unless you drove them back to back tbh.

Thanks!! I used to have an Elise but i wanted a few more creature comforts for getting to and from the track. Getting old lol
Ya know the Exige 380 isn’t really much heavier right? It’s ~2375 lbs, 1076 kg. Hardly any more than the Miata.
Lotus driver has no excuse!
@@aisu8481 All just a little fun lapping with a friend.
Down to the drivers, a 380 Exige is a formidable track car, fair play to your driving 👍
Great driving! From a fellow Miata owner 🤙
Beautiful track
Nice driving
Thanks J
Great driving mate. The Exige on the paper is much more powerfull than the mx5. Super
I drive this car to work everyday 😬

Yeah, plan to fit some Cup2's once the nicer weather comes round Mike.
Did you have traction control off? I can’t seem to handle my nd2 with TC off!

Jesussss SOME driving !
Thanks for the kind words!
Have you considered upgrading to the BBR220 kit?
Great driving, he should have been pulling over tbf- you was a lot faster through the corners
Just a bit of fun with a friend Courtney.
@@mikescib7798 ah, that’s fair enough - that makes sense 👍🏼
The Lotus is known to be like driving on rails. But to get close to it and only left behind on a straightaway is amazing in itself!
Did the BBR 200 really make that much difference (especially on the street)?
So stock calipers and rotors are good enough?
Do you have the ND1 or 2? If it’s the ND1, have you had the 3rd and 4th gear, gearbox issues?
Hi Stuart, i have the ND1, no gearbox issues.
@@mikescib7798 nice, that’s good to know.
fwiw, I also have a BBR GTI 200 ND1 with 60k miles and zero gearbox problems. :)
You get auto rev matching with this tune?
@@southaussiemotorsport7962 No, old school doing it heel and toe.
Nice
Thanks Joey!
This track is fun!
Is this a softtop? I can't decide 😂
Hi Roger, yes its a rag top.
soft top all the you save like extra 70kg and for a car like mx5 lightweight and rawness is the point.
that exige sounds so good but he ain't getting away from u
Yeah, they defo sound nice!
He did on the straight!
what engine oil do you use?
Hi Folio, just the standard 5/30 oil.
$85k 375 hp Lotus.. can't get away from a $27k 155hp Miata
The difference is shit driver on lotus vs good driver on mazda
