Ustad Nusrat didn't write himself but used to collect poetry of classic urdu poets. But his command on urdu pronunciation (he also had impeccable pronunciation of Punjabi, Persian and Hindi/Braj Bhasha). Also, he was a scientist of Raags, he used to experiment with different Raags and make new compositions. LEGEND.

Guys don't forget his trainers. He was trained by his father ustad Fateh Ali Khan & Later his chacha ustad Salamat Ali Khan. They were also very good singers of their time. I have seven cassettes of ustad Fateh Ali Khan, Mujahid Mubarak Ali Khan, ustad Salamat Ali Khan & party. Sounds quality is not good but they were great singers. I am addicted to NFA Khan & have more than 60 volume of his qwalies & listened him live.
