Tow Truck Fail - When You "Know Someone Cheaper"
Вставка

- It's been a while since I had tow truck fail video! And we all know that guy who swears by "I know someone cheaper". Combine the 2, and you get this video. Luckily for the customer, he called the right company to fix the other company's minor catastrophe. I won't get into which company did this, but apparently they were struggling with this for hours trying to winch this truck out from the front and the back.
They finally gave up after sliding and almost flipping this poor truck. You would figure sure this job is easy, right? Well, I would agree with you there. Nothing inherently wrong with it, but sometimes you just have to think a little instead of throwing lines to something and pulling. The customer called and specifically said I want a crane truck aka rotator, send one ASAP.
We dispatched Alex in Big Flipper, who used a combination of the main lines and auxiliary lines to lift and set this back to level ground all without damaging the body of the truck. Customer was very happy, and this just goes to show you how even the easy looking jobs can end bad without a good operator.

Alex has to be the politest recovery driver I have seen. I enjoy his video's. Nice job Alex! 😃👍👍👍
Alex knows best. Love how he takes everything into consideration when he works as to not to damage anything!. "Very demure, very mindful".
You should hand out stickers or t-shirts or hats saying something like "I was moved by Pepe's"
When Alex and Big Flipper arrive on scene, you know your day is gonna get a lot better.
As always Alex great job. You are good at what you do. No damage to the vehicle. The customer was happy with the service. Always call Pepe's.
Alex another job where you treat the customer with complete class and respect! That’s what makes you guys the best in the business! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Oh Alex, I was so VERY pleased to see that no trees were harmed in the making of this recovery, lol. /wink. Great job and stay safe out there.
The only tow company I can think of with flowers is Jan’s towing
Same lol
Customer was very happy to see you and your truck show up and than moved the truck expertly back on the road...
Nice work Alex, another satisfied customer.
What did everyone think of Alex's method to save this truck after the "other guys" almost flipped it?
As usual Alex took a moment to "think things through" before just ripping into it. Funny how the little jobs turn out to be a bigger pain than the big ones 🤔🤔🤔.nice job Alex. No blood, no foul. 😊😊
Oh yea, Wasn't aware that Pepe's had changed it's name to "Pete's" 🤣🤣🤣. That was humorous
Nice people awesome job
Perfectly done, but I'm a carpenter and electrician so I have no idea lol
Alex engaged his brain, analysed the situation from outside of the box and recovered the truck with no further damage. Clever.
100 dollar tip, not bad at all. Great job as always Alex!
To clarify: On any lift with the spreader bar, the two lines will always pull fully vertically, regardless of the position of the casualty. What Alex did here allowed the “spread” to be more like a hammock, because the tops of the lines were farther apart than the bottoms. Awesome as always!
If the lines coming down from the spreader bars down to the casualty are of equal length then I believe what Alex is saying is correct. The drivers side of the truck would lift first and possibly crush the fenders wells.
Yes, but the casualty was not level, so it's sides were not vertical. It can be hard to judge angles in a video.
Not exactly. If the spreader bar is wider than where the hookup to the lifted vehicle is then the lines can tilt out a bit. And a spreader bar set up for a semi is going to be wider than a pickup. So, the lines won't be exactly vertical. However, doing it the way that he did it lets the lines tilt out even more. Both would probably get the job done. Just a matter of preference which one to use.
Some spreader bars are adjustable for width so they can work with wider loads. I don't know if this trucks bars are adjustable.
The other issue with a traditional spreader bar is the extra height required which could result in less boom reach to put the casualty back on the black top.
Awesome little video. Cool little tricks and Alex once again shows how “slow is smooth and smooth is fast.” Excellent work.
I especially like how stopped what he was doing and he put the padding on the shackle when he realized it was gonna scrape the paint.
This is why I love you guys. You treated this man's everyday work truck with the same care and professionalism you give your big contract clients. Bravo Alex!😊
Good save Alex, now he knows who 2 call if he gets into trouble again
It's the professor at work and now at end he's a movies star always great job
Alex is the best. I always love watching him work.
Es el mejor , Ami también me gusta cuando el opera con la grúa , es inteligente en su trabajo 💪👍
Loved how Alex handled it
Another amazing solution to a tricky job. Thanks for the entertainment, Alex!❤
ALEX BREAKDOWN!!!
Fantastic recovery. Seems so simple but other guys couldn't do it. Love how you take your time to look at everything, form a plan, and do it. Proof is in the result.
As always, yet another Master Class on how to get it done ✅ Right
Another great job by Awesome Alex!
Also, that service truck is really nice!
Alex always takes his time and thinks his way thu the job before he starts, and a tip from the customer shows his appreciation for no damage. 😊
Nice save from big rigs to fishing vehicles out of canyons you guys do it all and I forgot rescuing helicopters.
Pepe's wins again after the first guy made it worse! Nice job Alex with no damage to the landscaping or vehicle! Congrats!
Even though it was a little truck, Alex banged it out of the field. Awesome job.👍
ALEX You love your job and you can operate any truck either small or big due to the experience you have. PEACE
You would think. Big flipper.yeah total overkill. But sometimes that's what you need. Awesome job Alex. And don't think I didn't notice how you made sure nothing touched the body of the vehicle that could damage it.
Good job Alex getting that truck back on the road and taking care not to do any damage to the truck.
my man that was a smooth recovery .... overkill ?....yes but what an efficiency ....
Great job Alex. Effective and straightforward technique.
I enjoyed this very much. While the lift is the culmination of the job, seeing only the lift makes me wonder, "how did he do that" which the video and the break down answered completely. Alex as usual did a great job and as "PEPE's mantra is to cause no damage in the recovery Alex carefully avoided any damage to the truck he lifted. The channel provided a wonderful boost for my insomnia. Thanks
Made Kennys day i reacon ..he loved having big flipper and Alex there ..".Make my day ' .
From Australia
When you see Big Flipper role in, you know the job is about to get done. I think when Alex got out of the truck and took a look at that, he should have said, "Yeah Kenny, I can lift that no problem, thats what these muscles are for, just kidding. lol" That was an easy job, mad respect for Alex being professional, not wanting to scratch up, or dent Kenny's truck! And there Alex is at the end, a total legend. My man, fist bump. 👊
Alex is a star within this industry yet humble and probably one of the best. I’d love to see him in the mountains of Colorado with his mindset.
Alex from PETES TOWING did a great job, Alex looked around a couple times then come up with the right plan thereafter he went with that plan. Great job Alex & Peppe Team. Watching from Calgary, Canada
Another fantastic video Alex, great job as always!
Alex killing it as usual! Great stuff ….
That was an awesome rigging job. I never would have thought to single sling the frame in the middle. Nice work Alex!🤘💪
Love it. Best entertainment for a Saturday evening! Should have called the professionals in the first place 👍
Glad you pushed out a video, I was getting withdrawal. You could do "ride along with Alex" as a new sideline. 😊
@@45KevinR not that easy because then it may increase their insurance for passengers. I know sometimes a tow truck driver has to transport the person who's vehicle is damaged. I have had to take a ride with in many heavy duty tow trucks. The longest was 4 hours. I was in the sticks of PA and the truck decided to quit at shippers. So I had to be towed to a KW dealership.
Alex, for the win.. have a great weekend pepe's..if you can say a little prayer for my state, North Carolina, that would be appreciated... We're still in recovery mode. we actually could use you out here. So many cars and trucks stuck from the massive mudslide in our mountains. Everyone Stay safe and hug your loved ones tonight. God bless.
i thought of the same thing when I saw all that disaster. If only you could be closer I'm sure Pepe's would help. You are in our prayers.
@MariaHernandez-wr4lz thank you so much.. Seeing it on tv does not do it Justice. it's so bad. the smell coming from everywhere.. We are still looking for people that are missing..
That was an awesome lift n out! A little time to think things out rather than hook n scoot shows the skill sets of Alex leading to success!
I always enjoy your jobs Alexander (saw your name on your shirt😁)
Alex, great job. I'm glad to see how careful you are not scratching and denting someone's vehicle.
Way to go PEPE's!
I am an idiot....who else talks to them.....now get the front!
If there was ever a customer to give out free “Just Call Pepe’s” tshirt it would be this one.
Definitely need more ALEX robot cam.
Love a good Alex video. There's something about watching someone who you can tell really knows what he's doing regardless of the job, and always interacts with the customer in a friendly professional manner that makes me smile. Keep up the good work Alex, you're the best!
Customer is pretty happy his truck was on the verge of rolling, and it comes out without a scratch,
Super nice customer
Alex is the most relaxed person, but he has total control of where ever he is ,he also seems to know the equipment or vehicles that that he's connected to.
( WELL DONE)
Did you expect to have to re-rig and twice? Alex is getting a touch more comfortable staring down the barrel of the camera...😂
A Baileys sling for every thing ❤
I like watching big flipper & hulk their so awesome
Nice truck.
Awesome video, thanks keeping the break down segment!
Keep up with the good work love watching your videos on UA-cam God bless
Another great job by Alex, Big Flipper and Pepe's Towing.
Tow company with flowers on them. Sounds like Jans Towing in Irwindale
Wow Alex are you sure that maybe this job really called for an M100. LOL That guy Kenny looked like he was going to pee his pants in excitement you you pulled up with Big Flipper. Good job. Stay safe.
tiny chain and big flipper are two thing you don't expect to hear together lol

Alex’s one hell of a job I love watching your videos sometimes man I don’t know how you guys do it. Keep up the good work and watch your pass out there, Donnie from Maryland out.😊😊
Se nota cuando uno es un profesional, los trabajos salen bien, porque sopesais todos los riesgos, gracias, Alex.👏👏👏👌👍🇪🇦❤
Well done. Losing two wheels off the edge of a trail is a common enough scenario in the off-road world. How cool would it be to have an off-road rotator? MiniFlipper? Son of Flipper?
Haha calling out Jan’s towing 😂
Flowers on trucks… Jans? Do they go up the 210
To Pasadena!?
It is a pleasure watching you. It’s amazing all the different calls you receive from big rigs turned over to cars in job sites. I hope I never need your service but glad to know you are out there!! 😊
Good job Alex good job on the breakdown Alex
Very nice job Alex
Keep up the good work Love the video
Smart decision by the customer, to get a rotator (Pepe's) for this job.
Alex Your Mom and Dad Joe taught you respect and courtesy to others it shows in every way you treat others plus you’re such a professions
PEPE'S TOWING HAS TREATED EVERY CUSTOMER WITH THE UP MOST RESPECT.
The small jobs are as important as the big jobs , same planing.
Watching from Knoxville TN
Alex is definitely getting better at taking to us, via the camera 📷
Nice job Alex!
‼️Alex hoy fue piececito de pastel‼️ 🫡🫡👍
A famous saying in German goes like "Crane sites must be compacted". (Kranplätze müssen verdichtet sein). There are famous videos about the topic available online.
Great job Alex a true pro 👏👏👏
I would like to see UA-cam symbols on your trucks. if a potential customer sees the type of workmanship you guys put into a recovery watching one of your videos. They would give yous a try. All the best.
Mr Josh Awesome jos. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
I get a kick out all these fancy lifted 4x4 trucks, but their owners don’t know how to drive them. All show.
Enjoy all your videos.
Alex you are awesome 25:26
Respectfully all though Alex does top notch work every time, watching many many hours of the likes of Rory from trail matter and Matt from off road recovery that recover in the harshest terain, they would of brought the back end over then winched out slowly. Obviously that's not something your all familiar with but as they say every day is a school day and we learn every day. So not trying again to be disrespectful as you all do a great job.😊
Hey Alex, great job
What kind of watch is Alex wearing....
Great job on the recovery...
Couldn't tell if I was enough f250 or 350. Got to wonder if those fancy wheels and tires are rated for the weight that truck can carry?
Great summary, but I miss the Josh-inator!
This customer definitely wanted a sure thing for the second recovery attempt. He got it.
Cool Video!
What a BEAST!💯
