My dad was born in Sao Jorge and left when he was 13. He was able to go back last year, and he had such a wonderful time. This year, he and I will be traveling there together and I am so excited to finally see Sao Jorge in person!!

Hey! We stayed for 3 days on the island. I feel you can definitely stay longer maybe 5 days (or longer depending on your travel style). A few extra days would give you more time to explore other areas of the island, more hiking trails, a boat trip, etc. Plus having more days allows you to factor in possible bad weather.
@@LukeandTylerTravel We have only visited S. Miguel so far, and my kids got really sick while we were there, so we didn't get to explore everything. I'm hoping to go back to S. Miguel one day, and I'm using your channel (and others) to figure out which other islands we want to visit. Raw nature is a must for us. Thanks!

Hey! We stayed for 3 days on the island. I feel you can definitely stay longer maybe 5 days (or longer depending on your travel style). A few extra days would give you more time to explore other areas of the island, more hiking trails, a boat trip, etc. Plus having more days allows you to factor in possible bad weather.

Foreign credit cards weren’t accepted in a lot of places in the Azores, so we did end up paying in local cash currency a lot of the time

We really like the Azores islands. Hard to pick one of them. Maybe either Sao Jorge or Sao Miguel.
