I’ll ask my dumb question here. I’m guessing that when you take a picture you’re supposed to zoom in to where you don’t see the corner seams just the object and the backdrop. I thought those sides would be less visible than what they are on the box that I got, which has three lights in it. My lights are on the left and right side and the top and I guess it’s an upgrade unit. I have a hard time getting the backdrop to stay in there.
Yeah it’s all about the positioning and angle /zoom you take the picture at, I’m guessing you’ve figured it out by now thought so my comment is pretty pointless here lol

@puluz the product doesn't work.. I sell CDs and DVDs and I get a reflection of light on my product. When I put the diffuser cloth in place it blocks the hole at the top where the camera is positioned to take a photo..Also If i put my camera inside the box to take a photo I still get a reflection even with the diffuser in place.. just chatting now on eBay trying to get my refund for this faulty product.
DVD and cd boxes are usually really glossy, that’s more to do with the product that you’re trying to photograph rather than the box itself, you could try making your own diffusers and/or adjusting angles to move the reflections away from the focus area.

I think it's to help with the light reflection
My constant problem with this is the plastic backgrounds constantly warp and I can't get a seamless look at all. The projects I make are very light, so the bend makes a terrible shadow. Do you have any tips on eliminating this?
Have you tried cutting out a fresh piece of back drop to put over the warping one? Or replace it etc

When I do the shot from the top the light reflects on the product
I think the soft cloth with hole will help with the reflection
Still don’t know what he softcloth is for!
You cover the light inside the box with it to reduce the glare if you’re taking pictures of something with lots of reflection
It’s called a light diffuser. You use the Velcro inside the box to place it above the object. The hole in it is smaller than the ring of lights so you don’t see the reflection of the lights on the shiny object you are photographing!
